Went to Lucky Bamboo based off some recommendations from some teammates. We can an hour before closing and the place was still pretty full inside, even with it being busy the resteraunt still had a clean and inviting feel too. The food was really good. The egg flour soup had a good consistency and I added crispy onions and chili oil to it and added a great flavor. The orange chicken was really good deafly recommend it fried rice with plain and simple. Add a soy sauce and it was great. Definitely recommend this place. You should try it out. read more

The women's restroom while clean did not have a working automatic soap dispenser. The sign outside is a bit small, but it's not a difficult place to find. THE GRUB + Hot tea (a green variety) $2.50 - good flavor served in a small metal kettle with a small handless teacup. + Iced tea $3.75 + Sweet & sour chicken lunch special $9.25 came with a pork egg roll, a cheese wonton, either fried or steamed rice and your choice of soup (egg flower, wonton, or hot & sour) LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB My kids weren't in tow this trip so I didn't worry about a kid's menu nor did I see one. SERVICE They don't greet you at the door. Instead they flag you down from a distance to seat you at a table and leave before you initially reach the table. Mary and I stopped in for take out. When we got home it was nothing but disappointment. The sweet and sour chicken had no sauce on it and included one tiny half full container of sweet and sour sauce, enough for about a quarter of the order; the whole order should have been stirred in sauce before going in the box! They get 2 stars for service because they were accommodating and friendly. But food was terrible. Panda Express makes better food-and that is not saying a lot. I know people in the Valley don't know any better- but this is not only underwhelming, the wantons and fried spring rolls are definitely not made in house. Their "fried rice" was white rice twice cooked with oil to make it look brown. Nothing in there either. Overpriced and really beyond disappointing. We normally get to-go meals from Lucky Bamboo. Today, we wanted to eat at the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were immediately sat at a table. Our server came to our table right away to get our drink order, then when she brought our drinks took our food order. 5 minutes later, we got our soup bowls, then as soon as we finished them, we got our food. As expected, food was delicious! Service was a well-oiled machine! As we sat at our table and ate, the doorbell (letting the owner and staff know someone just came in or is leaving) kept dinging. It s a very busy restaurant! We were there for lunch, but nobody was left standing or waiting for a table. Tables were cleaned immediately after customers leave. There are many tables available for families, couples or singles. If your table is in the section close to the entrance, there may be lots of hustle and bustle. We were in town on a visit to the National Park. After a long day of hiking we didn't want to cook. Our AirBnB had a menu for this place and we gave it try. It took us about four calls before someone answered. We wanted to buy family meals but didn't like their choices there. We ended up buying entrees and an order of egg rolls and some wonton soups. It was very close to our AirBnB. Overall the food was ok. At first we thought it was small portions however, when it was all said and done we were full. We did take out as we are still being very cautious about COVID. No workers had masks on. When we called we were told 30 minutes. My husband got there and had to wait about 20 minutes. No big deal he was able to wait outside. There was a 14 table top getting their food when he arrived so understandable. Overall glad we tried it. read more

I recently relocated to the area and have been to all of the Chinese restaurants in Alamosa on the hunt to figure out which one is the best - and I can confidently say that Lucky Bamboo is just that. The environment is great, the staff are very kind, the food is delicious (I especially love that they have Chinese and Vietnamese dishes + Korean jjampong). I have since come here multiple times and have yet to try anything that wasn't perfection. 10/10! read more

Had dinner here on a Wednesday night. Very busy with dine in customers but got seated quickly. Had multiple people working the floor and service was excellent. We ordered egg drop soup, potstickers, gluten free chicken with vegetables and Mongolian beef. All items were excellent. We have been wanting to give this place a try for so long and were finally able to today - and we were not disappointed! The service was great, restaurant was nicely laid out and clean, we got our food rather quickly, and everything was delicious. Both the egg flower and wonton soups were quite tasty, the egg rolls actually had a decent amount of pork inside and had great flavor, the pork lo mein also had great flavor and they didn't skimp on the meat, the sesame chicken tasted great and wasn't too spicy - the breading was also perfect and not soggy at all. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back. If I had to find just one issue it would be the fried rice, I really wish it had more veggies and flavor, but it tasted great when eaten with everything else on the plate. read more

Every time I, my son, or both of us eat at Lucky Bamboo, it is absolutely delicious! My favorite has always been the Szechuan Chicken and my son always has Orange Chicken. I recently changed it up and got Garlic Chicken. Holy Cow it was awesome! The Lemon Chicken is also fantastic! The service is always great, the food is always hot and tasty. When we lived here a number of years ago the restaurant was called May Wah but it had closed down at some point after we moved to Texas. When we came back and found it closed we were heartbroken!! We discovered Lucky Bamboo and found out it was the same great people, same great food!! We ordered a wonton soup and a hot and sour soup both very tasty and then the garlic chicken, garlic pork and curry chicken. Both garlic dishes were enjoyed thoroughly but the curry dish lacked a curry flavor. The potatoes (?) in the curry needed a few additional minutes of cooking Our major complaint arose as we attempted to enter the bathroom, surplus chairs encroached on the route, which required my wife to move them. This tiny, hole in the wall place, is surprisingly good. I don't think there are over 10 tables in this little nook. We had to wait 10 or 15 minutes to get in so we took a nice walk. And came back. The hostess/owner seated us immediately and took drink orders. I have never had better hot sour soup in my life. It was truly amazing, including bits of beef in it. My wife and I had the garlic shrimp. Absolutely delicious. But be careful when you take your first bite, it comes out from the kitchen HOT. You can order it from mild to spicy hot as well. We chose medium. It had just the right amount of tang to it. The staff members were all cooperative, in making sure each patron got excellent service and big smiles.
