Always love going here for lunch. Staff is friendly, place is clean, food is delicious. Keep it up!

The staff were incredibly sweet! The service was great & the food was wonderful. Definitely will be returning.

Lucky Bamboo is always a great decision! We typically get the family dinners and they come with so much food with a great variety. Our standard contains Egg Flower soup, the Lo Mein noodles and the Mongolian beef. This place never disappoints and the service is fast! read more

Very tasty food with quick friendly service! It was a very clean restaurant. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Went to Lucky Bamboo based off some recommendations from some teammates. We can an hour before closing and the place was still pretty full inside, even with it being busy the resteraunt still had a clean and inviting feel too. The food was really good. The egg flour soup had a good consistency and I added crispy onions and chili oil to it and added a great flavor. The orange chicken was really good deafly recommend it fried rice with plain and simple. Add a soy sauce and it was great. Definitely recommend this place. You should try it out. read more

OVERALL Lucky Bamboo is a fast casual Chinese restaurant in Alamosa, CO. It was nice for a quick lunch with my cowboy. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4.5 PARKING There was free street parking or a public lot just south of the building. LOCATION/AMBIANCE It's nicely decorated with a minimal approach and high ceilings. Two separate dining areas with tables and chairs that are just a bit closer than I would have liked. The women's restroom while clean did not have a working automatic soap dispenser. The sign outside is a bit small, but it's not a difficult place to find. THE GRUB + Hot tea (a green variety) $2.50 - good flavor served in a small metal kettle with a small handless teacup. + Iced tea $3.75 + Sweet & sour chicken lunch special $9.25 came with a pork egg roll, a cheese wonton, either fried or steamed rice and your choice of soup (egg flower, wonton, or hot & sour) LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB My kids weren't in tow this trip so I didn't worry about a kid's menu nor did I see one. SERVICE They don't greet you at the door. Instead they flag you down from a distance to seat you at a table and leave before you initially reach the table. Other than that we were constantly checked on by several staff members. By the end of our meal, the staff finally became more personable thanks to my cowboy's sense of humor. MY FAVORITE PART... How hot and quick everything came out! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The door dinger every time someone walked in or out and the loud chattering of all the patrons minus no background music. read more

The BEST Chinese food in the ENTIRE Valley!!! FANTASTIC Service!!! You won't go wrong eating here!!!

Mary and I stopped in for take out. When we got home it was nothing but disappointment. The sweet and sour chicken had no sauce on it and included one tiny half full container of sweet and sour sauce, enough for about a quarter of the order; the whole order should have been stirred in sauce before going in the box! The chicken was overcooked and chewy. The fried rice was just rice, couldn't see how it was called fried. The garlic chicken was standard. The egg rolls were standard; there was a tiny cup of mustard with a few drops on the bottom! read more

They get 2 stars for service because they were accommodating and friendly. But food was terrible. Panda Express makes better food-and that is not saying a lot. I know people in the Valley don't know any better- but this is not only underwhelming, the wantons and fried spring rolls are definitely not made in house. Their "fried rice" was white rice twice cooked with oil to make it look brown. Nothing in there either. Overpriced and really beyond disappointing. I only wish Alamosa had decent Asian food options but they are ALL terribly sad. read more

Lucky Bamboo - Fried rice that is really brown rice. - Chinese Near Me - Alamosa, Colorado

We normally get to-go meals from Lucky Bamboo. Today, we wanted to eat at the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were immediately sat at a table. Our server came to our table right away to get our drink order, then when she brought our drinks took our food order. 5 minutes later, we got our soup bowls, then as soon as we finished them, we got our food. As expected, food was delicious! Service was a well-oiled machine! As we sat at our table and ate, the doorbell (letting the owner and staff know someone just came in or is leaving) kept dinging. It s a very busy restaurant! We were there for lunch, but nobody was left standing or waiting for a table. Tables were cleaned immediately after customers leave. There are many tables available for families, couples or singles. If your table is in the section close to the entrance, there may be lots of hustle and bustle. If you're in the other section, it should be quiet. Lucky Bamboo is the best Chinese food restaurant in Alamosa. It is a must-try for anyone in the area. read more

Staying in Alamosa for a few days. My AirBnB host recommended Lucky Bamboo so I tried it today for lunch. Opening the to-go box was like opening a gift. Delicious aroma and all this for $11. Everything cooked well - fried items were crisp, meat was tender, veg still crunchy. I also received service with a smile. Always appreciated, especially in a busy place. read more

We stopped on our way through town. We had great meals. Chicken in garlic sauce and Szechuan chicken. Both came with soup (we had the wonton soup), and eggroll and a crab Rangoon. Be sure to make a stop at Lucky Bamboo if you're in the area. read more

My Favorite Restaurant! Excellent variety of Chinese dishes with cheerful waitresses. They serve complete lunch specials with soup, appetizer, main dish and fried rice for under $12. The place is always full at lunch but expect a short wait. The Best!!! read more

The food is outstanding for fast casual Chinese. Huge, flavorful dumplings and delicious soups. I should knock down a star because they charged $6 to add broccoli and snow peas but I'm a giver! C'mon, Man! read more

The food was good, service was fast, and price was reasonable. The ambiance is what would be expected.

We were in town on a visit to the National Park. After a long day of hiking we didn't want to cook. Our AirBnB had a menu for this place and we gave it try. It took us about four calls before someone answered. We wanted to buy family meals but didn't like their choices there. We ended up buying entrees and an order of egg rolls and some wonton soups. It was very close to our AirBnB. Overall the food was ok. At first we thought it was small portions however, when it was all said and done we were full. We did take out as we are still being very cautious about COVID. No workers had masks on. When we called we were told 30 minutes. My husband got there and had to wait about 20 minutes. No big deal he was able to wait outside. There was a 14 table top getting their food when he arrived so understandable. Overall glad we tried it. read more

Clean, busy restaurant. My only complaint was the egg rolls are really spring rolls. Food was fresh and tasty for a small town. Service was good. read more

We have been wanting to give this place a try for so long and were finally able to today - and we were not disappointed! The service was great, restaurant was nicely laid out and clean, we got our food rather quickly, and everything was delicious. Both the egg flower and wonton soups were quite tasty, the egg rolls actually had a decent amount of pork inside and had great flavor, the pork lo mein also had great flavor and they didn't skimp on the meat, the sesame chicken tasted great and wasn't too spicy - the breading was also perfect and not soggy at all. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back. If I had to find just one issue it would be the fried rice, I really wish it had more veggies and flavor, but it tasted great when eaten with everything else on the plate. read more

Recently remodeled, it's a welcoming Asian vibe. The food is top shelf, likely the best Chinese food for 200mi around.

I recently relocated to the area and have been to all of the Chinese restaurants in Alamosa on the hunt to figure out which one is the best - and I can confidently say that Lucky Bamboo is just that. The environment is great, the staff are very kind, the food is delicious (I especially love that they have Chinese and Vietnamese dishes + Korean jjampong). I have since come here multiple times and have yet to try anything that wasn't perfection. 10/10! read more

Great fast service! Food was excellent. We were thankful for the recommendation when we asked for a nice lunch location.

My favorite place to eat in alamosa! This place has fresh food. No soggy chicken here! They are always packed especially during the week on lunch hour so a good tip may be to call in your order ahead, to go. The service is exceptional. read more

Had dinner here on a Wednesday night. Very busy with dine in customers but got seated quickly. Had multiple people working the floor and service was excellent. We ordered egg drop soup, potstickers, gluten free chicken with vegetables and Mongolian beef. All items were excellent. They also had gluten free soy sauce which is big plus since my girlfriend is gluten free. The Mongolian beef dish was one of the best I've ever had. Not overly sweet with a dash of heat. read more

We ordered takeout for $60...food was cold and rubbery, tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. We won't be back

Pretty good. We had the garlic pork, Mongolian beef, beef lo mein, and wonton soup. Not the best ever, but good.

Chinese food is my favorite type of food. This restaurant's food is delicious and I enjoy eating here. Nice friendly atmosphere.

The dinning room looks nice and clean. It's the best Chinese food in Alamosa. Everyone was super friendly. I definitely would recommend it to anyone. Prices seemed good. I thought it was a good value. read more

The food was delicious. They were busy and we never went unattended. The service was as good as the food !

Wait staff warmly greeted and then seated us promptly, clearing space for my wheelchair. We ordered a wonton soup and a hot and sour soup both very tasty and then the garlic chicken, garlic pork and curry chicken. Both garlic dishes were enjoyed thoroughly but the curry dish lacked a curry flavor. The potatoes (?) in the curry needed a few additional minutes of cooking Our major complaint arose as we attempted to enter the bathroom, surplus chairs encroached on the route, which required my wife to move them. No assistance was provided. read more

Every time I, my son, or both of us eat at Lucky Bamboo, it is absolutely delicious! My favorite has always been the Szechuan Chicken and my son always has Orange Chicken. I recently changed it up and got Garlic Chicken. Holy Cow it was awesome! The Lemon Chicken is also fantastic! The service is always great, the food is always hot and tasty. When we lived here a number of years ago the restaurant was called May Wah but it had closed down at some point after we moved to Texas. When we came back and found it closed we were heartbroken!! We discovered Lucky Bamboo and found out it was the same great people, same great food!! This tiny, hole in the wall place, is surprisingly good. I don't think there are over 10 tables in this little nook. We had to wait 10 or 15 minutes to get in so we took a nice walk. And came back. The hostess/owner seated us immediately and took drink orders. I have never had better hot sour soup in my life. It was truly amazing, including bits of beef in it. My wife and I had the garlic shrimp. Absolutely delicious. But be careful when you take your first bite, it comes out from the kitchen HOT. You can order it from mild to spicy hot as well. We chose medium. It had just the right amount of tang to it. The staff members were all cooperative, in making sure each patron got excellent service and big smiles. You must give it a try when you are in Alamosa. read more
