We've done business with Wayne Gravely in the past and never had an issue until now. My husband took his Cub Cadet mower in for repair. They told him it might take about a month to get to it, but they expected it would be sooner. Over three months went by with no update. During that time, my husband called and even stopped by four different times, and every time they said they hadn't gotten to it yet. On the last visit, they admitted they had actually lost it in the back and couldn't read the notes from when he dropped it off because the writing had faded. When they finally called, they said it was ready -- and the bill was $992. Almost a thousand dollars, with no phone call for approval before doing the work. Any reputable repair shop calls first to confirm the cost, especially when it's that high. For that price, we could have bought a good used mower. We're extremely disappointed in Wayne Gravely in Lenoir and won't be returning.

I just had three vehicles inspected at Lakepoint Auto. I have to say they are friendly, efficient,…read moreand honest. The third vehicle inspected had tinted front door windows that don't meet North Carolina standards. They gave me the option of taking the vehicle back and removing the tint and then bringing back, or failing the inspection, which would have costed me $30. I took the vehicle back and removed the tinting film and called Lakepoint back up and they got it in immediately for the inspection. I really appreciated their honesty and the chance the correct the problem before they moved forward. In the future, I'll be bringing my vehicles to Lakepoint Auto for service work

The owner, Rob is as honest as the day is long. I'm a widow on a fixed income and have been ripped off by AAA and the KIA dealership in Mooresville. I went into the KIA dealership for a recall and at the end of the visit they handed me a list of things that needed fixed with a total of $2000. I took that list to Rob and not only was there a Valve Cover Gasket Replacement listed for $685 which Rob had replaced a couple of months prior but Rob fixed everything on that list for $865. In one day, they packed up the truck in NC and delivered it to VA the next day without any breakage or loss. They even loaded my refrigerator on the back door of the truck so it could be plugged in over night for the next day's delivery with no loss of frozen food. All the crew members were respectful of our properties. PS: I do recommend a big jar of Halloween candy. It seems they each have a sweet tooth.

Terrible movers. I believed the prior posts on yelp and hired them…read more The crew showed up a little late. They immediately started arguing with each other. The arguments got so heated one of the workers left the site. They dropped furniture, damaged walls and trim work in the house where they were packing up and damaged trim work in the house that they were delivering the furniture. Hellen (the owner I think) tried to maintain peace but had no impact. The arguments between the crew never stopped and slowed down the whole move requiring two days to move. Without asking the moving crew went into refridgerators and pantries to get food. Used the microwave to warm up food without asking. Made themselves comfortable in the kitchen to eat lunch and never cleaned up. Smoked on the back porch and left ashes everywhere. Used every single bathroom in the house and broke a toilet paper holder in one of the bathrooms. Several pieces of furniture were scraped up because of poor inexperienced handling (ussually by one person when two were necessary to move it). They scraped furniture over floors rather then picking them up causing damage to floors. They forced large upolstered furniture through door opennings rather than picking them up and angling them through the door. They used furniture pads that were old and dusty. They still have one piece of furniture that they are trying to repair. I have used movers over 15 times up and down the east coast and by far Byers is the worst movers I have ever encountered. I would not recommend using them for your move.

I didn't want valves ground I wanted bigger valves installed. my total bill was 1010.70 only 100.00 in parts were used. I was charged 824.00 in labor. Ashley is a crook and doesn't do work that you ask for. my block sat from the first of September 2022 until may of 2023 until it was even touched. I went for 5 months without any contact with this place. main caps had to be installed by another shop. first engine they rebuilt for me leaks a quart of oil every 50 miles and engine has to be pulled from truck to fix it. I called to tell him I'm picking up my engine since they are not working on it so he scrambles to find more piddly work he can do to charge me more. drilling 6 holes for main caps and line boring main caps, honing block incorrectly by not using a torque plate, grinding valves and cleaning block cost 1010.70 unbelievable when 824.00 was labor.
