King Machinery - Mahindra Tractors

King Machinery

BUYER BEWARE!! In late December 2023, I purchased a 2022…read moreRoxor from Mahindra &Mahindra & King Machinery in Hamptonville, NC. Over the past seven months, it has been in the shop for warranty repairs for more than two months. Mahindra & King Machinery has had the machine in their shop for over 60 of the 210 days since the purchase. As of this writing, the machine has been in the shop waiting for repairs that were not completed in the previous visit. The buying and licensing process was disorganized. Mahindra & King Machinery assured me that preparing a Roxor for street use was straightforward, but the process took two days of my time with no concise guidance from Mahindra & King Machinery . I had to visit the NCDMV office twice, a vehicle inspection station, my insurance agent, replace a nonfunctional headlight, and obtain correct documentation from Mahindra & King Machinery . Three days later, I was finally legal to drive on NC highways. A few of my negative experiences include: 1. When I first got home the radiator water was lower than the fins in the radiator core. This occurred was having driven directly from the dealership. 2. The first time it rained, the interior of the cab was extremely leaky. It was as wet inside as outside all while sitting still. Rain puddled on the roof and funneled through the roof attachment openings. 3. The heater/AC fan failed with less than 30 days and 800 miles on the vehicle. The cab filled with smoke, the fan motor screeched loudly, and hot molten rubber insulation flowed onto the floorboard. I reached out to Mahinda & King Machinery for assistance, expecting timely service and support. Over a month later, the machine was released as repaired. At that time, I specifically asked if they fixed the AC and were certain it worked. I was assured the AC did work, but they could not be sure because it was winter. When I questioned this, I was told the Roxor AC did not operate like an automotive unit but rather like a tractor's unit. I have doubts about the accuracy of this explanation. Possible explanations for the inaccurate explanation include: 1) the technician was not knowledgeable about the thermal cycle of compression and expansion; 2) did not understand my question; 3) thought I would not know the difference myself or 4) I was plainly lied to so that I would leave, I hope not. These experiences and several other interactions have left me disappointed and frustrated. The initial excitement I had for Roxor has been overshadowed by poor customer service. As a customer, I expect timely, professional, and supportive service when issues arise, and Mahindra & King Machinery failed to meet these expectations. I realize there are circumstances outside of their control, but at a minimum, I expect to be kept informed of the progress. I advise potential buyers to beware! Consider these points before making a purchase from Mahindra & King Machinery. Great products are important, but reliable and effective customer service is equally crucial. J. Wade White, Jr.
