We've eaten at Keizer Sub Shop for years. In fact, we always have ordered the same thing every time. So I feel qualified to say, they are not up to par compared to the sandwiches they used to serve. They didn't skimp on the meat or cheese, which is the most expensive part of the sandwich. They skimped on the pepperoncini, the onion and the pickles. Hardly any on my sandwich or my husband's, and those that were present were all clumped together. It wasn't busy, and we phoned in our order for pick up, so really no excuse. I wasn't impressed with either passable but lackluster sandwich I got here, or their service (not friendly - seemingly bored), or their atmosphere (strip mall-esque), but their cream soups are FANTASTIC. They do a cream of asparagus, a cream of artichoke, and a cream of broccoli that are all just DELICIOUS. At least they used to. Haven't been since they moved. Was pretty annoyed when I placed a to go order a French Dip and when I arrived home I learned there was no au jus with it.

I've eaten here a few times and it has been consistently good food. I've only had the veggie sub but it's done up right with all the basic toppings and perfect amount of lubrication. My only complaint is extra toppings can add up. Especially since I'm a vegetarian, not much variety unles you're willing to fork over the extra cash. read more

Just left moments ago and it was delicious!! My husband and I are vegetarian and he eats fish so we got a veggie and a tuna. His tuna sandwich was delicious and huge. My veggie was amazing! I ate lunch at the Keizer Sub Shop today. Best. Sub. Ever. I got the Torpedo. Salami, pepperoni, bologna, and I can't even remember what else with provolone cheese on white bread. I got all the usual condiments and had them add pepperoncinis. I order a whole sub, intending to eat half of it later. First, I almost didn't order this particular sub because it had bologna. I don't usually think of bologna as Italian deli meat. However, the bologna was awesome with everything else. All the Italian meats worked great together - and there was plenty of meat - and there was just the right amount of provolone cheese on it. Second, I was taken aback when the sub arrived cold. I had expected them to toast it - which is the way I usually like my subs. Now I know why I usually like my subs toasted. It's because the bread isn't soft anyway, so toasted gives it a better flavor and texture. The Torpedo I had today came on the softest, freshest sub roll I have ever had. I mentioned it to one of the girls who work there. She said she noticed it today also - implying that maybe it isn't always as fresh as it was today. Maybe I just got lucky. Even if I did get lucky, this sandwich had the perfect amount of meat, just enough provolone, and was not swimming in condiments. Add fresh lettuce and some peppers and, I'll say it again, this was the best sub I've ever had. So good, in fact, that I ate it all at one sitting. Upon arriving the sandwich maker was outside smoking a cigarette, she came back in after we stood there waiting. A girl came out from the back that was working there and took our order as the girl who was outside smoking did not wash your hands and prepared our sandwiches. The chili that we ordered was horrible, it tasted like sloppy joe sauce and ketchup. I didn't feel that the sandwiches were much better. I fell that the food is overpriced. My girlfriend and I went here on our drive back to California. We love sandwiches... but not these ones! I'm a vegetarian and the taste of the ingredients and bread was terrible. My girlfriend got the chicken fajita sandwich, which gave her stomache pains. Eventually she threw it back up. Yea the sandwiches are cheap, but we ended up giving the other halves of both of ours to a homeless person. There are only two choices of bread - skinny white and doughy wheat. Neither is very good. The sandwiches are super fattening with no light choices. The employees move like slugs. It takes about 20 minutes to get your sandwich. And then it's just ok. I prefer subway. read more

The Keizer Sub Shop is amazing! They have great sandwiches and salads. If you are looking for something a little lighter, you can turn any sandwich into a salad and they are delicious. A whole sandwich cannot be eaten by one person in one sitting. My husband and I always split a sandwich and I usually can't finish my half. Our favorite is the destroyer which has tons of meats and is piled high with veggies. Also they slice all of their meats and cheeses to order. And don't forget about the bread which is always fresh and soft. There are so many choices and options that the possibilities are endless.
