We started working with Sublime Homes around spring of 2018, after we had a very stressful and unpleasant experience with another builder. We were actually set to break ground with the other builder at that time, when we were informed he suddenly "could not afford to do our project" and also gave us an estimate that was well over $150,000 over our discussed budget. Out of about 6 builders I called frantically to see if we could still build within the year, they were the only ones that were willing to restart the entire process with us, from the best house design for our family, to helping us formulate a budget before we started anything.
Within a week, Amy had set up our first meeting and things just cruised after that. After the first meeting with Mike and Jackie, we already had a budget within about a week, and an actual PLAN/timeline....something I felt we never truly had with the other builder. One of their models fit our needs, but we did want to make some alterations. They were amazing at giving us suggestions, and also gave us all pricing up front, so we had time to decide. As I'm sure happens with many customers, we had ideas bigger than our budget, from cabinet stains to certain "looks" we wanted, and they gave us numerous ideas with how to capture that same appeal, while staying in our budget. As the process started, we never had to wait more than a few hours for a response. We had multiple walk throughs as the building process continued, and had multiple opportunities to review how things were moving. Jackie met with us on numerous occasions, late after my husband and I got off work or on Saturdays, so that we could get her opinion on design options. There were even a few things my husband chose (that I would have not) and Jackie actually took the time to realize they did not mesh, and suggested other options that would look better, which we really appreciated. The main thing my husband and I agreed on with our selections was that we needed to "see what Jackie thinks." We have 3 little girls under the age of 8, and they never minded them coming along to see the progress, even if they were running through the house with excitement. We recently closed January 17th, and are in love with everything about the house. Our first house, we had so many things we would have "redone" in the first week of living there, but we are just in love with this house, and the team that created it for us. Even though we have closed, they are still super accessible with questions we have, and also are already having us plan for our 11 month walk through. Edgar came multiple time the first week we closed, to make sure all the companies pinked up their extra supplies and Chelsea and Tiffany have been extremely attentive. We would 100% recommend Sublime Homes. read more
