I would recommend this location. This was our first time here and I have to say the customer service was great. I am not sure if they were short staffed or just had one person working, but the staff member had a great attitude despite a slightly long line. I think this speaks highly of the individual. The ice cream was nothing like we've had, but it was good and the experience watching the process is pretty awesome. Second, my son left his backpack there and they saved it for him. This was huge, as you just never know. I sent an email to corporate when I couldn't reach the store, and they responded promptly. I sincerely appreciate them! So whether you are craving ice cream or want a cute little date, this is a fun place to go and the service and experience is top notch.

First time here, we usually go to Handels in Sandy because we love good ice cream. We stumbled on this place, We enjoyed all of our options that we had here I think the serving size was a bit smaller than we expected. We all will plan to come again we really liked this place ice cream taste great nice seating area we will probably get a larger size serving next time. We came in during the time that the owner was our server and he was great.

Bad customer service. The person behind the counter didn't even take my order they just looked at me until I told them my order.

First time here. Great place for ice cream and Pokemon Go. Place of name is pretty awesome since it reminded me of Mortal Kombat.

It is all super fresh, not freezer burned. I haven't tried the double cone yet, but I want to since it is iconically Snelgrove. It is SO cute inside, and clean. The employees are always really helpful and patient with my toddler. I am impressed when young employees do the job well. All in all, Snelgrove is a great experience. HIGH QUALITY ICE CREAM for such a REASONABLE PRICE. From…read morewhere I'm from (CA), you can get the one scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone but for 6-7 dollars. Here, the ice cream is so much more creamier, and one scoop on a cone is only 4-5 ish dollars. Though there was a really long line when we came, (around 8 o'clock), the ice cream was worth the wait, no doubt. I got the Flight (shh.. it's cheat day..), with flavors: Thai tea, chewy gooey buttercake, campfire smores, and white mint chip. I loved ALL these flavors. Judging from other people's reviews, I don't think there is a flavor that's bad at Blacksmith. The thai tea was really strong, but I gotta say, the first bite is the best. The more you eat it, the more weird the flavor becomes. I'm sure this is probably a me thing though, so I still totally recommend this flavor. The chewy gooey butterake the best flavor in my opnion. The name is really accurate; the ice cream IS really chewy. I love the texture. It feels like you're biting into a cookie, but there's icecream too! Hey, two birds on one stone! The campfire smores also didn't disappoint. Like the chewy gooey butter cake, the campfire smores also had a stuff inside, which was a chewing sensation! Though I'm not big on smores, cause I think that they're always way too sweet, this ice cream redefined smores for me. The marshmallows aren't fully sweet, but I can totally taste the smoky flavor of the roasted marshmallows. Though the white mint chip wasn't bad, I felt like it was more underwhelming compared to the over three flavors I've tried. It's just plain white mint chip, nothing more, nothing less. I also got waffle cones on the side (yes, you can do that!), since I really wanted to try out their handmade waffle cones. They serve it to you in triangles (like tortilla chips!) in a little paper bag. That also, was great. So crunchy and buttery! I also gotta say, watching the staff make the ice cream was soo satisfying!

Even the ice cream flavors and drinking chocolate get clever historically-inspired names, which adds to the charm. Portions are generous. I usually get the one scoop, which in reality is three small scoops. Get two if you're sharing, and three if you can handle a full sugar coma. My personal favorite, after working my way through nearly the entire menu, is the Abigail Adams' Salted Crack Cookie with salted caramel, cookie chunks, roasted pecans, and smoked almonds. Simply delicious. I'm happy to pay the fair price for premium ice cream this good. They recently opened the Lehi-Traverse Mountain location, and it's packed on weekends. Whether you're bringing a date or the kids, come ready to wait in line, and budget time for everyone to sample more than one flavor before committing. Worth every minute.

They were so patient with me while I tried (yes...) five different flavors before deciding. Jeff was especially great; he had a genuine smile the whole time and handed me each sample like he was excited for me to try it. I'm originally from Louisiana, so the John Jay's Louisiana Purchase Pralines & Cream immediately caught my eye, and it truly tasted like home. The French brown butter vanilla, New Orleans pralines, and butterscotch swirl were absolutely perfect together. I also loved The Tory Apathy--cheesecake ice cream with black raspberry swirls. Both flavors were bold and explosive without being overwhelming, and that really stood out to me. I normally stick to chocolate or coffee ice cream, but these two completely won me over. The texture is a little more on the icy, compact side, but the flavor payoff makes up for it. Overall, such a fun, delicious, memorable stop!

Now that I have your attention and I've given you an ear worm, I'll share a story. My friends and I spent a Saturday on ísbíltúr, which is an Icelandic tradition of taking an ice cream road trip. We hit five different places around the Salt Lake valley and lived to tell about it; with only a slight stomachache. This one is a drive through with a small walk-up window and seating outside. It happened to be our last stop on our journey and was the perfect ending to our adventure! We ordered our cones at the window and then sat on the patio in the warm evening air, enjoying our final treats of the day. The patio is situated between two drive through lines, so the setting is a little unusual, but still good vibes. Blue Moo offers Blue Bell ice cream (IYKYK) and is generous in their portion sizes. There's a lovely blue cow photo op adjacent to the drive thru (logistics can be a little tricky if there are cars queuing up).

We got the Oatmeal Cookie and Pistachio Almond. Both delicious! The prices were reasonable and the portions were decent. The staff were super nice and the tables outside were kept clean for those that want to stay and eat their ice cream. Can't wait to go back to try more flavors!
