Mid spring and much more still needs to grow. Even the cattle. The Farm store was open and fresh stock of frozen meats were light, but the season was still ramping up. There were of jarred goods, spices, cheeses, and homemade crafts were available for purchase. Inside the rustic down-home barn has been comfortably converted to enjoy a browse of artifacts from days gone by. Service was exceptional and information can be provided. If you have any questions about the farm or its farm-share or items in the store the person(s) minding are happy to answer. read more

I bought a carton of farm-fresh brown eggs, 16 oz chocolate milk and 1/2 gallon whole milk. The lady behind the counter was friendly and pleasant and the HUGE cat sitting on the counter appeared to be pretty chill as well. It was my 1st visit with a girlfriend and plan on coming back. read more

I attended my first Eventbrite event. It was called the Farm, Fire, and Ice Festival. I was very impressed with all the food prepared, all the food was flavorful. They had three signature cocktails and a open bar if you chose to enjoy all different drinks to your liking. You really had to pace yourself because there was so much food. They had watermelon salad with feta cheese and with one feta cheese and jalapeño peppers. The roasted pork was banging crispy skin and tender meat. They had several sauces to pair with your pork. The roasted chicken was juicy ,flavorful and the skin yummy. The Mediterranean section they had a youngman carving the perfectly roasted lamb. They had seveal different roasted side dish. They had roasted corn, roasted fingerling and purple potatoes that exploded in your mouth. They had a seafood section with raw oysters, calamari salad, cucumber with salmon spread and stone crab claws and juicy jumbo old bay peel and eat shrimp. I'm sad to say my only con was the event started at 2 pm and the st I ne crab were gone by 3:30 pm that was disappointing. It was a communal gathering; the servers were very friendly, and the ambiance was very welcoming. They had an awesome live band. I can't wait to attend next year. Please like , share and follow Sub Edge Farm for more awesome festivals and gatherings they may have throughout the year. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life!! read more

Sub Edge Farm is located in Farmington and is a family owned organic farm. The land has a deep rooted farming history. Currently, they grow produce, raise farm animals, and offer a community supported agriculture (CSA). I am fan of farms so I had to stop in their farm store. They had plenty of fresh produce, frozen food, and handmade items. I bought some veggies and was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and affordable. If you're into fresh food and supporting small businesses, I highly recommend a visit. read more

CSA is more worthwhile than the farm shop. The shop didn't have a ton of selection and was not fully stocked when we went so it didn't feel as much worth the trek just to make a visit. read more

We had a wonderful experience at sub edge farm . They had a venue farm to table for all of $90 a person wow that's all I can say is wow if you haven't tried you're missing out . You actually as a group go out and pick the vegetables you're going to eat . You sit in a group in the butcher shows you how to butcher a chicken and in the meantime, you meet wonderful people. A great social event. The food was outstanding we had chicken a kale salad we also had corn polenta and steak all cooked by the DORO Catering & Events . So many great appetizers of food went on and on and on trust me, you'll leave their content. The service was outstanding and very pleasant. The food was the best of the best. I believe they're having one in October and I'm definitely going back for the fall activity. It's a top-notch picnic outdoors. The farm owners treated us like we were Family. They actually came out and sat and had dinner with us. If you're lucky to get tickets, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. read more

I've eaten Sub Edge Farm produce for years because one of my Farmington area friends shops there. I already had a favorable impression, and then I started seeing IG food blogger friends attend collaborations involving Sub Edge Farm. Recently, I drove past Sub Edge Farm and made a note to return when I was back in the area. I finally visited last weekend. Sub Edge Farm sells fresh produce, including their produce and/or other local produce, bread, jarred goods, prepared foods, frozen meat and other goods in a farm setting. They had a good variety of in season produce I expected to see, and some things like baby eggplants and shishito peppers that surprised me. I bought both the eggplants and peppers, grilled them and then finished them in a tomato based sauce. Delicious. Our other purchases included plums, heirloom tomatoes, blueberries and rye bread. All at least good. I have closer farm stands I like, but I would definitely return to Sub Edge Farm and I recommend it to those in that area. Five Stars read more

Love this beautiful gem of a farm. We joined their CSA medium farm share this year and have been enjoying the bountiful organic produce this farm season. The produce is picked fresh daily and they also have eggs, meat and cheese to purchase also. You don't have to be part of the CSA to stop by and purchase some beautiful produce they grow all sorts of things. Rainbow Chard, Beets, Radishes, Asian Greens, Assorted Zucchini and Squashes, and Corn to name a few of the current freshly picked items. I can't wait to see what the rest of the growing season has to offer. The owner are very friendly and can answer questions as to how to prepare anything you may have never seen or even heard of. Love my weekly visits to get fresh local organic veggies! If your in the area you should definitely stop by and check them out. Support our local farmers! read more

Beautiful drive through this farm but an even better place for a chef to farm dinner! Came here with some friends and for $75 per person there was a great spread of Spanish and Mexican fusion with live music outside in the field! They had a 3 option margarita bar with beer, wine, and jaritos sodas, along with a salsa and queso bar, a large paella, and some grilled skewers Of meats, fish, and vegetables! Interesting concept as a buffet style event, we're used to having each course individually paired and delivered- nonetheless if was cool and I'd highly recommend! read more

Amazing produce! We did a blind taste test comparing store bought carrots, potatoes, parsnips, squash, and Brussels sprouts and Sub Edge won every single time! They have some nice looking Xmas trees, too. Nice people and very helpful. Support local! read more

I will start the review by a disclaimer: I have NOT actually been to the farm yet. However, I receive a CSA box from this farm each week, and this is probably my 5th box this season. My CSA box has delivered a ton of greens so far - chard, kale, various kinds of lettuce, bok choy, parsley, and cabbage. I have also had their green onions and scallions. Summer squashes included yellow squash, zucchini, another kind of squash I don't even know the name for :P This week the box was full of tomatoes and cucumbers, all of which were tasty and way better than the store bought ones. Colored carrots, green peppers, tomatillos - all quite flavorful. The variety forces me to cook differently and eat differently. What strikes me though, is how the farm team makes an effort to provide recipes for different kinds of greens the supply. Food is fresh, and I believe it is not sprayed with the kind of junk other chain stores use, so I have to make sure I finish the produce quickly, or it will go bad even in the refrigerator. The food is also more expensive, for I have seen my grocery bills go up quite significantly. I would have thought that having no 'middleman' so to say, would drive down prices, but I guess not. Anyhow, I think of it as an investment and bite the cost, pun intended. Do try them out, the quality of the produce beats the cost and inconvenience of access. read more

You'll not find a group of more dedicated farmers than you will at Sub Edge. Family operated--and the entire family is involved--the atmosphere in the farm store is relaxed and friendly. The meat, produce and dairy are top-notch. It is an environment of peace and harmony and a visit there is always a welcomed respite from the bustle of urban/suburban life. Well worth a drive from anywhere. read more
