Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained the daily lunch special: a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a drink. It sounded like a great value, so we ordered two specials along with a serving of the banana pudding for dessert. The pulled pork sandwich was served without sauce, allowing us to customize it from several barbecue sauce options available at the self serve counter. The pork was flavorful and tender, the fries were crispy, and the banana pudding was a delicious finishing touch that definitely hit the spot. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the value of the lunch special. One thing to note is that a 3% fee is added for credit card purchases, and the restrooms are reserved for customers only. Overall, this was a fortunate and memorable find. The food was satisfying, the service was friendly, and the value was excellent. They were savory, smoky, spicy, and had almost none of the sweetness I generally associate with bbq beans.
