Michelle groomed my little Zoey's hair for over 15 years and when Michelle left another location and moved here - you can bet I didn't hesitate to follow her. She is truly amazing - patient, kind, and so VERY GOOD at what she does. This place also has a wide array of pet food, treats, and other various supplies. I have found that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when I'm looking for products. And, they also remember and recognize you and your pet(s) - even the ones that aren't yours that you show up with on occasion! Lastly, they are just dog people here! They have openly told me that it's totally okay to bring my pup here on those cold days when it's not safe outside - and to just walk her around the store for exercise - no purchase necessary. It's things like that that keep you coming back.

It was never an easy task to tackle alone. After about 4 years, I tragically hit the quick of one of her black nails. Fast forward to now 8-year-old, 65-lb Layla, who still won't let me near her with clippers. I've had to outsource the torturous task to her vet and groomers since that fateful day. Once she associates a place with nail trims, though, she resists entry and tries to find the nearest exit. The Dog Wash Etc. has proven to be a rare exception to this rule, which is a testament to the positive experiences we've had there. Evie skillfully handled and warmly gained Layla's trust during our first visit and again several weeks later (bonus: the trim kept Layla's pawdicure needs at bay much longer than usual) It doesn't hurt that the Pets on Point store has cookies (and a whole shop full of goodies) for a post-trim treat. Punch card rewards or not, Evie and the Dog Wash team have earned our loyalty. I am eager to try the actual dog washes next... although Layla is as enthusiastic about baths as she is about nail trims!

In the past, Autumn has been fairly helpful/engaging - she works a lot of the demos - she wasn't there that day.

I resorted to engaging the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to get some answers. At this point, I felt their disabling of my online access and banning my dog from their grooming services was a retaliatory effort due to the complaints the store has received from me. Keep in mind those complaints sought to address serious fire safety violations, OSHA concerns and poor customer service from Management. I finally got a response in late April from the Corporate head quarters and this is what they said (I won't hide one word from their response). "After reviewing the feedback from our groomers/store partners, it has come to our attention that there have been multiple instances where they have felt disrespected and treated unprofessionally by you during the grooming sessions for your dog. This has created an uncomfortable working environment for our employees, which is something we take very seriously. As a result, you will not be groomed at this location in the future. And while we wish that we could further assist you, we have policies that we need to enforce, and we reserve the right to refuse service to guests as we see fit." First off, this is news to me because I have had great interactions with the 2 groomers I have ever worked with. When I asked for the dates of these occurrences so I can cross reference them with actual grooming appointments, they failed to respond. Unfortunately the consumer is to be blamed in this instance even though none of what they stated was true. I have my suspicions as to why the store would make up something like this, as I know a couple of the workers there and they would make up stuff just to ban a customer out of spite. I would use this store with caution, given if someone like myself who puts thousands of dollars a year into the store gets banned for "NO" reason, but a made up story so the workers are not disciplined for their actions then it tells me everything I need to know about their brand, mission and how they treat loyal customers. There are dogs who I have seen bite their groomers who are still being groomed today, yet my dog has done nothing and gets banned. Hmmm double standard here or just personal preference on the part of the groomers to choose who they feel should get their services rather than the consumer decide who gets paid for their services.

The cut was even all over, his ears were perfectly trimmed, and his tail was trimmed to a reasonable size. They took the time to greet and pet him, and they didn't use that gross perfumey stuff. I've been to just about all the groomers in the area (was a big fan of Chela before she moved), and D-Tails is the best!

My mother was on the Board of the ASPCA back in they day so I always had a love for animals growing up. Never knew I had to cut my cats nails. Never had to when I growing up and all of my cats were fine. Brought my cat here and they accused me of animal abuse and said they would adopt the cat from me. I was beyond insulted and stopped bringing my cats here. I brought them to another Vet and was told I didn't nothing wrong. Your cats should be able to keep their nails short by scratching posts etc, which I have, but sometimes it doesn't help. The new Vet made me feel at ease. My mother (sometimes she brought him to appt) and I were also accused of putting my Pug in a hot car because of the anxiety he would get going to the Vet each time. I always cool off the car before putting them in and know to never leave a dog or any animal in a hot car during a warm day. I get that you have to be aware of some Vet owners but we had been coming to this place for years. With all our cats and dogs. I'm glad I left and found Lisbon Road. They are fantastic!!
