Luckily, yelp led me to Amanda- an amazingly talented and sweet stylist who not only answered my numerous questions, but put my mind at ease with her confidence and patience. I have brown hair and wanted very subtle caramel highlights that would mimic sun-kissed beach hair. She mixed the perfect color and checked on them diligently to ensure they weren't getting too light (my biggest fear!) When she felt we were getting close, she unwrapped, cleaned and dried the strand and confirmed I was happy with the color before she did the rest. Amanda deserves 5 stars because she listened to me, made intelligent and kind suggestions based on her experience and great eye for detail. She not only did a wonderful job on the color, but she sweetly took the extra time to calm my nerves and took me outside with a hand mirror to make sure I was 100% satisfied when she was finished. I was! I knew from our phone conversation when I was calling around to find a salon, that she would do a great job. She exceeded my expectations! Although the shop was busy during my appointment, she gave me all of her attention, never appeared flustered or rushed, and treated me like I was one of her best regulars, although we had just met. Amanda genuinely cares about her clients and wants them to get exactly the look they desire. I only wish I could take her with me back home! I am so grateful to yelp for helping me find Amanda. I can recommend her without hesitation and wish I hadn't already booked someone to do my hairstyle for my wedding because I know she would do a wonderful job. :)

When coming to Maui to finalize our wedding venue search, I decided that doing our engagment photos…read morethere would be best to test out someone for Hair & Makeup. I did my research, and thought that Jessica's pricing was very reasonable, and that her work resembled what I was looking for. With less than a week heads up, she was able to coordinate a time for my hair and makeup, and was so accommodating! I was very happy with the results after she was complete, but the real test came for the actual engagement shoot where we were on the beach getting splashed with ocean water, and battling wind. I have VERY fine blonde hair, and every piece stayed in place (and it was down in loose curls!), and my makeup look like it had just been put on despite hours in humid/wet conditions --- I was floored! Obviously with such a great experience, I booked her and her team for our wedding date once we settled on a venue. The results on our wedding day were nothing short of what I expected. She guided me through the process of how to do multiple (1 bride, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a groom's service) people's hair/makeup within tight timeframe, and even was able to take on an extra person for hair, and a groomsmen for a touchup last minute! My five bridesmaids are seasoned bridesmaids, in weddings spanning from Napa, to Palm Springs, to Italy and beyond and they all unanimously agreed that was HANDS DOWN the best hair/makeup experience they have ever had. The airbrush make up worked in humid Maui conditions all day, and with a variety of hair lengths/texture everyone was pleased with the results. I would recommend Jessica & her team to anyone looking for a seamless/stress free and beautiful hair/makeup experience on Maui for Weddings or any special events!

Jessica did my hair and make up for my elopement and I was so happy with the results…read more Not only did I look and feel beautiful, but Jessica was very sweet and helpful as I was not feeling well that day and the A/C broke in my hotel room. It speaks to her expertise that she could put on my eyelashes all while the hotel staff climbed ladders to fix the A/C, room service fluffed the pillows and bedding, dropped off a celebratory bottle and chocolates. She kept telling me we would later laugh about it and she's right. Aside from some general requests on how I wanted my hair and makeup to look, I trusted her to do her thing and she delivered. I went with wavy curls because I wore a flower crown. I'm always skeptical of curling my hair because it never holds but it held up beautifully even in the Maui heat. The airbrush makeup is amazing. Felt so light on my skin and looked great all night. Thank you, Jessica!

The MAB team did a phenomenal job making all my bridesmaids, the moms and the bride look and feel…read moreso pretty. The MAB team was professional yet down to earth. We had laughs smiles the whole morning making a what can be a stressful morning to instead, be filled with aloha vibes. These exceptional and talented ladies know exactly what they're doing which takes away from the stress on your special day. Each one of them has their own unique story as to how they landed at the island from previously working at the MAC counter in California to vacationing once and never wanting to leave the island or meeting their husband on the island but the common theme is their love for the island and the love of make up and hair which showed in their work. I've truly enjoyed this team immensely. The team really make sure you are feeling 100% before you leave to the venue, fixing last minute bobby-pin to changing the color of your lipstick completely because you didn't feel . Not to mention, they also took care of my mom and my MIL far after I left, making sure they're loving their make over as well. My wedding was back in Sept of 2022 and for me to now write a review shows how much of an impact they've made in my special day. I told them three things- I didn't want my ear to be sticking out, I didn't want my hair blowing in my face or sticking on me from the humidity and I'm very particular with the shape of my eyebrows. I spent days on Pinterest looking at different hair styles on how to hide my ear but the team took my inspo pictures and did their own thing, making it better than I can imagine. For any bride that's stressing out on finding the perfect team to do your hair and makeup, trust me when I say you can't go wrong with the MAB team. They really go above and beyond to do their part in making you look and feel fab as well as your whole bridal group. I had a total of 9 ladies hair and makeup done and you would not be able to tell who got worked on first or last. Thank you MAB team and with out a doubt Highly recommend this team.
