I made a split decision to get my dog washed, and they were able to schedule me for the same day. It was pretty awesome - and, they didn't charge an arm and a leg. Everywhere I have called so far charges by the pound, and when you have 120 pounds of Boerboel it adds up quickly. My total ended up being 60 some dollars (before tip) for everything - wash, nail trim and grind, glands, ears and blow dry. Because I was a walk in I ended up waiting a bit longer but that wasn't a problem at all. I was able to check out the local farmers market just a block away. I don't like writing a bad review as this business has usually been very good. People have typically been friendly and courteous. I'm also a big proponent of small business and feel that people in small business are passionate and care about my business giving me greater value that what can be found at any of the chain-type stores. Today was different. The guy at the counter (never seen him before) was borderline gravely annoyed that my 10-month old puppy acted like a puppy: excited, greeting other dogs and such. His tone of voice in finding out my name and phone number actually made me pause for a minute and think about leaving right then. My puppy is a hunting puppy and happy-go-lucky and loves everyone. Not poorly behaved and even if he was, it's a dog grooming place and I'm sure they've seen them all. The problem is when the guy at the counter communicates a lack of appreciation for the customer, that's when he loses business. Many times I've taken another dog there that was older and well behaved and had good service. I've also spent hundreds of $$ on food. Sadly, not sure I'll be going back. read more

I'm only giving this groomer 1 star because I took our dog in to get a bath , haircut, and nails trimmed. Picked him up 2 hours later, they had given him a bath, trimmed his paws and nails, and that's all, for $47.00! I didn't notice that they had not cut anymore till I got home, which is my fault for not checking him over good, but really? Make sure you check your dog good before paying. read more

I was so horrified when I picked up my little mini golden doodle. I had specifically told them not to shorten his ears and when I picked him up they had chopped his ears into fat little pompoms. Our dog has always had a very difficult time with nail trimmings, and he has never had a professional grooming (although we bathe and brush him weekly at home). Emily was so sweet with him, I could tell he was comfortable right away. When I returned a few hours later, I was so happy! He had a darling cut, he was fluffy and clean, the trim was uniform, and he had perfectly trimmed nails! Emily had figured out a way to keep him calm, and trimming his nails was no problem. The price was great ($40 for everything), and did you know that they offer free nail trimmings anytime? We are definitely coming back! Thank you so much! read more

Took my dog, a Lhasa poo in for a 1/4 inch cut all over. When I picked him up 2 hours later, his face was not trimmed, his ears were not touched, and he still has hair between his toes. Lots of Tufts that needed trimming. His neck wasn't shaved. A truly poor job, and not the first time. Still looking for a good groomer! read more

They are awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. Did an amazing job on grooming our new pet who was very overgrown and matted by previous owners not caring about his grooming needs. We are now regulars and will be taking our other two muttts there. read more

I've tried just about every groom shop in the valley and I'm happy I finally found Styling Pets. I'm always greeted when I walk in the door and Charlie my shitzu just loves the attention the girls give her. They've even helped me find a food that she loves and will not upset her allergies. Recently they discovered that poor little Charlie had a ruptured anal gland =( I got her to the vet the same day and praised my groomer for finding it. Poor baby was hurting. I was, and still am, shocked by the way I have been treated by the Owner/ Manager, Lisa when I indicated that my sweet little Shi Tzu, Poppy had been injured during his recent grooming. When I picked him up from Stylin Pets on Sept. 4, he immediately showed signs of distress. He couldn't walk and was urgently biting at his bottom. When the situation didn't improve, I called Stylin Pets for advice. I was told to bring him in. They could find nothing wrong, but Lisa said that if the discomfort continued, to contact her. I did, because after several days, the discomfort was obviously worse. This sweet happy little dog became very lethargic and refused to go for a walk. I had to carry him out of the house to get him to go potty. I called Stylin Pets and the Owner/Manager, Lisa couldn't come to the phone but relayed through the person who answered the phone that I should take him to the vet and that I would be reimbursed for the vet visit. When I returned to Stylin Pets several days later to present the bill from the vet who said that he had been "nicked" while groomed and that this type of injury can be as painful as a hemmoroid, Lisa proceeded to deliver a tirade in which she described the many incidents in which she had been "scammed" by customers. She took a very aggressive and combative attitude and to say the least, I was shocked and rendered nearly speechless. I did, however, gently ask if she was willing to lose a customer over this incident and she continued with her tirade. She said she would call me on monday after speaking with the vet. (she said this about ten times) I guessed that she must be having a bad day. On tuesday she called me and apparently was still having a bad day because she announced that she was leaving a check for me despite the fact that the vet had no recollection of having diagnosed my dog with an obvious "nick" and had no record of this in her notes. Unbelievably, Lisa went on to angrily announce that I and my dog were forever banned from her salon. I have no doubt that the subtext of all this raving on her part is her belief that I was lying about the injury and I am totally shocked. I have been relentlessy honest all my life and have never been accused of lying. I have never seen such inappropriate customer service behavior in my life. read more

Lisa at Stylin' Pets has groomed our dogs for almost 20 years and has always done a wonderful job. Lisa really cares about the dogs in her care--one time, she opened the salon early on a Saturday so she could trim our very old, very decrepit, very big (about 120 lbs) Bouvier who couldn't stand long enough for a full bath and grooming. I know that Lisa and her staff are always kind to the dogs because my two current dogs are always happy to go into the salon--they are not afraid at all. I would not consider taking our dogs anywhere else! read more
