We moved to the area about a year ago with two female dogs. On a recommendation from friends in Paradise, UT we tried out this vet clinic. Their staff and service were prompt, excellent and thorough with their examinations. When it came to diagnosis and options for treatments they have always given us a number of options to determine what we were comfortable with. Very good priced and got us in quick for a cat neuter. Very kind staff. They come and get the animal straight from your car due to Covid. Bill was way less than I was expecting and my kitty recovered fast, very happy. read more

Have gone several times over the past 3 years. The vet as unable to tell that my 80 lb dog was pregnant I told him we just adopted her and could feel them multiple times moving in her while she slept by me. He insisted it was intestinal gas. He pitched extra means of telling if she was pregnant. The one test was almost $100. In asking further questions he was unsure about the accuracy and such if said test. 4 days later she had 9 puppies. read more

On Monday, I took a urine sample to Blacksmith because of a strong smell in my almost 4 year old male dog. We were told we would get a call first thing in the morning with the results. We called in the middle of the day about noon, to find out about our results and we were told "the vet will call you guys within the hour." The vet did not call so at 5:30 we called again and said the vet would call. We got a at 5:58 and the whole time he thought my dog was a girl. He ended the call with "your pee sample looks fine except high protein so there could be a kidney problem or an infection in her vaginal canal." We told the vet it was a boy dog and all he said was "well that's what I think is happening let's do another UA in a month." I called him back at 6:02 (because my boyfriend talked to him while I was working) and my phone call was sent to voicemail. I still have yet to get a call back and it's been 3 days. 3 DAYS!! I have since called other vets and took him to get blood work and another UA. It turns out, that one of the receptionists or vet techs does not properly know how to tell a client to take a UA. I was told to take a urine sample either the night before or the day of and just leave it in the fridge until my appointment, which is what I did. Well after spending $400 on a new vet, they discovered he had a UTI that did not show up on his first UA done by blacksmith because keeping it in the fridge killed the bacteria. I since have left 3 messages to speak to a manager between yesterday and today and still have yet to get a call back. I have used this vet for 3 years and have never had a problem and now I'm really disappointed. read more

I absolutely love this vet. Not only have I had great experiences with both vets here and the other staff, the prices cannot be beat. I priced a surgery for my puppy and they were the cheapest vet in town by more than half the cost of the next cheapest vet. It's nice to know you can get great care without sacrificing quality of care! read more
