Update: two surgical staples in his neck. Right now I am sitting in my car outside of Blue Pearl Emergency Vet Clinic because of Covid I am not allowed to be in the room with my dog. I am here because Megan at Stylin Paws caused a laceration on my dog Bates' neck AND a laceration on his back leg. The cut on his neck is deep enough to require stitches. I believe that I am a reasonable person, but as a dog Dad I am cognizant of the fact that I am protective of my dog to an unreasonable level. Professional groomers should understand that, and treat our dogs with a high level of care given that we have entrusted them with our dogs! About one hour after dropping off my dog Bates with every assurance that he would be well taken care of I get a call from Megan the groomer telling me that she has caused a laceration on Bates' neck and he will need to be taken to the vet immediately to have stitches. I dropped everything and rushed to the store where I was met by two employees casually conversing and laughing amongst themselves. Excuse me, I said, I'm here to pick up my injured dog! I then proceeded to drive 30 minutes across town in a BLIZZARD with Bates crying on my lap. Now, here I am sitting in my car waiting for the veterinarian to call me back on the status of Bates. Saturday ruined. Dog a mess. Frankly, I'm about to lose my ****! You have been warned. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews. But i am so disappointed on my fur baby cut. This was my first time taking her in, went ahead since there was pretty good reviews. I have a mini poodle, explained i didn't want much cut off. About 30 min later i get a call that they have to cut her short because she's very matted. Mind you, i brush her at home and it had only been 6 weeks since her last groom. (Was done out of state on vacation) I told her it was ok to cut but try to leave as much as possible. When i get there, 5 hours later, i get a SHAVED dog! Really!? 5 hours for them to shave her. I wish they could've of tried a little harder to brush her out or trimmed some off. I would of definitely paid more if needed to. Now i have a "naked" mini poodle running around in this cold a** weather. Very disappointed. And yes, still paid for the full service AND left a tip. read more

I work 2nd shift so the only day I am able to get my dog groomed is on Saturday's, I made an appointment a month ago, took my dog downtown, dropped him off, 45 minutes later I get a call the groomer called in sick and no one bothered to let me know. They wanted me to go on Monday to Clive, which I'll be at work so that's a no, then said one of the other groomers will do it but we will have to keep him here till close, so for 8 hrs I leave my dog with no food or water or potty breaks at the groomers and they will see what they can do? Why weren't her clients called asap when she called in? I wasted my morning and for nothing, a simple phone call would have saved a lot of unnecessary stress on a dog that already has horrible anxiety. read more

I've been to multiple groomers in the Des Moines metro, and Stylin' Paws has been by far the best! The Ingersoll location did a fantastic job on my mini golden doodle! The staff was friendly and my pup looked like she was ready for a cameo in the "Best in Show" sequel! 10/10 recommend! read more

We've taken our little pup a few times now to Stylin Paws, and our so excited about them now having an Ingersoll location! If you're not familiar with the area, you can easily miss it, and the parking is hard to spot if you don't know it's behind the building. They always greet us with a smile, and are very excited to see my little Maltese each time. We've had wonderful service getting her groomed to the look we prefer, and they've done a great job each time we get her nails trimmed and dremmeled. I have also purchased a few items of clothing or goodies from their store and have been pleased with the quality. We have been very pleased with the service here. We used to use Petco, which performed OK, but two days later our Havanese looked a bit haggled already. At Stylin Paws, the trimming was much more even, the hair fluffy (much better deep brushing), and she looked great weeks later with a bit of daily brushing. Today was our third visit. This was our first time getting our 10 year old Border Collie mix groomed and she looks like a different dog! The staff was so friendly and the boutique is beautiful, clean and welcoming. The groomer listened to my concerns with our dogs anxiety and issues with having her feet touched and they did a beautiful job without any issues! We will definitely be back! read more

We absolutely LOVE our groomer Wynter. Our 14 year old golden retriever has a lot of weakness and aches and pains and she takes SUCH incredibly good care of him.... He has always hated going to other dog grooming salons and would tremble with fear when we would pull up, but he is so relaxed when we get to Stylin Paws and gets so excited to go see Wynter.
