So I began coming to Berta for sugaring and she is amazing at it! Not only does she do an amazing job but she also makes you feel very comfortable and at ease! I had mentioned to her how I use to get eyelash extensions and how unfortunately my eyes became irritated to the glue and I can no longer get them, she then asked if she could try to do them for me to try a different method and it would be at no cost! She informed me that if I were to have any problems with them to just come back and she would remove them for me. If that isn't great customer service I don't know what is. Uh-mazing eyelash master! Bert is great! She's patient, professional, has a cute and welcoming shop, and is a great conversationalist. She's very gentle and you may fall asleep. I almost did. Huge plus, there's plenty of parking, a big lot in the back of the shop and street parking in the front. But the entrance is in the back, so you're better off parking in the lot behind the shop. Bertha is awesome. I made the best decision going to her. I made huge mistake this year. I went to nail salon to put fake lashes on, for the holidays. Well you get what you pay for. I know better, I have had lash extensions before, I was in a hurry and it was temporary. Well when they finally fell off all my own lashes came off with them. I was so embarrassed I looked sooo weird . I had to do something.... Lol I yelped eyelash extensions and Stylelash came up. Bertha took me the same day. I had a 12:30 appointment today and was asked to be there 5 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Today was my first time visit with Bertha, as I approached the door, the first thing she said to me was, "You do know it's a 2hr application," as she starred at my 4 year old son. Like, can you say hello first. I replied that my son was gonna get picked up by my husband in a couple minutes. Second, she hands me the clip board and I start filling out the paperwork and she resumes with her client she was working on. As a courtesy, I expected her to tell me, I'm almost done, or just a couple more minutes, But nothing, she kept her conversation with her client and just turned to look at me when my son was touching something on her counter and told him to not touch nothing. By that time it was 12:55, and no signs of her finishing. I don't understand the point of asking me to get there 5 minutes early . So I put the clip board down, grabbed my son and walked out. I have gotten lashes done else where and I've never had a problem with my son, woman with children should not be treated this way. Or she should have a sign or something on her yelp account stating she doesn't allow kids. Overall, I'm really disappointed with her service. I do not recommend her if you have kids . P.S. my son had his portable DVD player with a movie with him to stay out of the way and sit watch it quietly like he has done before. read more

My eyelash extensions were AMAZING! I first got some done at a hair salon. They were so itchy, and started falling off almost immediately. I didn't know at the time that there is a HUGE difference in the eyelash services available. The real, good extensions will take at least 1-2 hours and be more pricey than a lot of hair and nail salons advertise. But they are definitely worth the time and money. Berta was amazing at applying them. I was super comfortable and actually fell asleep! I was worried my eyes would be itchy and irritated as they were with the first set, and often with lashes I apply at home, but I didn't even feel them. They stayed on for quite a long time, (longer than I expected) and I LOVED not having to curl and apply mascara daily. read more

*STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON** I've had professional lash applications for over 7 years from several salons in L.A. and this is by far the worst experience I've had - ever. Bert Olague charged me a promotional rate for an initial application with a refill ($140) and my eyelashes fell off two days later! I texted her 3 days after application informing her of the situation and she would not offer a refund. Contested charge with Bank of America and she wrote a rebuttal letter stating lies, and even kept the money for the refill I never even claimed! And she claims I was happy with my service because I left a tip, but I did that as a courtesy, as would any other decent person. I had no idea I would lose $100 lashes two days later. The Better Business Bureau is going to hear from me on this one but I wanted to give her the benefit of a doubt when I filed my bank dispute. I have never experienced such a poor quality application and furthermore, the way she handled the experience with my bank was deceitful, dishonest and unconscionable. IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR EYELASHES DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS AND UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. I would leave no stars if I could, what a thief. read more

I originally went it for a procedure called sugaring. Wow! Totally painless and my skin felt amazing. All of the peach fuzz gone from my face, with absolutely no pain! My makeup goes on so smooth now, and lasts all day. Added benefit - I have real problem skin, and have not had a breakout since Bertie did the procedure. I was having such a wonderful time being pampered, I decided to go the for eyelashes too while I was there. Came in to get my lashes done by the amazing Berta. Like always she didn't dissapoint! She is a master at her craft, very professional and you really feel pampered! I was in need of an eyebrow pencil and I noticed that she sold some (I love that she doesn't push her products on you!)
