Menu wasn't too foreign with my friend opting for the schnitzel, my partner the farmers plate and pork knuckle for me. My partner didn't like the amount of fat in his meal but for better or worse I ate every last piece of fat and meat I could scavenge from the knuckle. It was amazing! Ending the night with apple schnapps that were too strong for me but friend loved them. Both of us going traditional with the apple strudel and the Viennese iced coffee for my partner. He said the coffee was very strong with my friend swooping in again to finish it off. We are a good team like that! The bill was expensive at over $200 but I feel it was worth it. The platter consisting of pork belly, sausages and schnitzel is a great introduction to the menu but also tested my stomach capacity. Washing it down with 500mls of Lowenbrau didn't help but it felt necessary for an authentic experience. Menu is on the expensive side but for an occasional splurge I don't think it will hurt. Probably making sure the oil was all soaked up and then putting the tea towel on a chair at the back of the restaurant ready for the next one is a concern. Hmmmm... I would have rather not have seen that.
