Over the past year and a half, I have very much enjoyed my stay at Rosemeade. The buildings are not old or falling apart by any means, but are in the process of being updated (including all-new slider doors and windows). The community is divided into small buildings with about 8 units each, with key access per building. I always felt very safe here, and it's a great place to go for a walk. The amenities, including the fitness center and movie room in the main building are excellent. I had a mid-sized one bedroom unit, with nice vaulted ceilings, washer/dryer and a balcony with storage unit. Very comfortable, nice amount of space; my only wish would be for a little more closet space. The office staff has always been friendly and responsive to any question or concern, and the maintenance staff is quick and courteous. Nice and quiet, out of the way on the top of a small hill, and across from a great gas station with a Dunkin Donuts. Wasn't expecting this to be as much of a plus as it turned out to be every morning! I'd definitely recommend Rosemeade to anyone looking for an apartment in the area - great place, great value. If I didn't need to cut down on my commute, I'd definitely be staying.

I asked them their hourly rate and they said they quote by the job; not the hour. Once they were there, they told my husband it would cost more and we agreed to pay the increase. Then, I had to have them come back as they missed a number of places in the kitchen and left crumbs, etc. I then asked for a quote for regular cleaning. Again, I was told it was by the job and they had different prices for once or twice a month. I asked for a usual cleaning (bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming and washing floors) and we agreed on the price. When the cleaner arrived, she said, "what do you want me to do?" I said, "clean the house as per your proposal." She still did not seem to be clear on what I was looking for, so I volunteered to walk the house with her. She informed me that the price included a maximum of five hours (so there is an hourly rate?). I said, okay, when you're at about 4 1/2 let me know, and I'll prioritize what's left. Someone dropped by, so they left without even speaking to me. Then, I received a bill that was higher than the quote (again). I called and asked about it, and was informed that it had been six weeks since their quote and they start their timers the minute they walk in the door. They "didn't even charge me for the walkthrough." I believe everyone deserves to earn a living, but this is ridiculous. You can't quote one price and then charge more every time you come to someone's house. It's bait and switch. They saw the house before they cleaned it. The job they did the second time seemed okay, but why are you asking me what I want done if I already had a proposal? It's bait and switch and I want to warn others about their business practices.
