I have lived here for over 4 years and I am proud to call Plantation Ridge home. First off, you can't beat the Management team. Michelle Hippert is the original person who showed me the apartment and she's had an amazing attitude and attention since the beginning. She always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable and happy in my apartment. The maintenance staff is exceptional. I love that they are available, friendly, and great at what they do. If I ever need help with anything, they respond right away. (Even on a major holiday when I dropped my keys down the elevator shaft!) The apartment complex itself is fantastic- quiet but close to everything. The building and grounds are top notch and always clean. My apartment is a good size and having my own washer and dryer is a plus. The convenience of having a 24 hour fitness center right at home is a definite benefit. In the warm weather I enjoy my balcony or the beautiful pool area and grills. In the winter months, the convenience of having my car tucked away in a garage is the best. I can't say enough good things about this place. After visiting every apartment complex in the area, I know I made the right choice. The comfort and safety I have here truly makes me feel like I'm living in a luxury hotel. read more

BEWARE. Building 507 has inconsistent AC. If you live in 507, having your own portable AC unit is a must. HVAC vans are constantly here to try and fix the building, but it's obviously beyond repair. This happens every summer. read more

I don't live there. I'm at plantation. Put a muffler on your equipment!! What the heck is being mowed or leaf blown for 8 hrs on a Saturday, I thought helicopters were in the parking lot!! Overall this is a very good complex. I feel very safe here and the property and landscaping are well taken care of. The common areas are always clean and I believe they are mopped and vacuumed every other day. I am always impressed with how clean the common areas are. I have been here for a few years and have only had a few small issues. When I open a ticket (I had a clogged drain at one point and my disposer broke) they always come to my apartment promptly and take care of my issue. Overall, it is a good complex. The staff are always friendly and are always willing to help you. I love being at the top of a large hill, the views all around are beautiful and there is always plenty of free parking. I have never had an issue finding a place to park near my front door. The apartments are getting a bit dated but are still well taken care of. I have never heard my neighbors on either side of me or below me. I also really enjoy my balcony and sit outside regularly in nice weather. I would recommend living here. It is really close to so many places to eat and Route 290 and Route 9 are just down the road. Even though you are living in Worcester, you feel like you are living in the woods since there is greenery all around on all sides. All in all I am a happy tenant. read more

Literally the biggest con artists are running this complex. Rent charges are through the roof, they have something to complain about every week. If you don't move your car immediately after a snow storm they threaten you with being towed. If you want to have a cat for a couple months they charge you $500. When you move out you have to pay for everything to be cleaned out of your pocket, as if the absurdly high rent wasn't enough for them. They call their "gym" a state of the art fitness center, when in reality, it's a 15x15 box of junk with half the equipment broken. The appliances in the apartment are hideous. It's hilarious that this place considers themselves luxurious. Run by a bunch of greedy scammers. Don't ever live here, they'll charge you out the a** for everything they possibly can. read more

A little background before delving into my review for this property. I am a transplant here, moving from Western Massachusetts into a city I was unfamiliar with. After countless trips to Worcester and surrounding towns, we decided on Audubon Plantation Ridge and pulled the trigger on a lease. The one thing that I couldn't understand about this property, was the lack of current reviews and I didn't know how to take that. So here we go, hopefully this helps anyone who may find themselves wondering the same things we were. The lease process was pretty painless. We were able to receive, review, and sign all documents electronically. This was beneficial to us as we were living an hour west of Worcester during this process. I believe I reached out to Robert once or twice (it was more like 10) via email and phone with a multitude of questions, concerns, etc. He was very easy to work with, addressed all questions and concerns in a professional manner, and made the overall process as smooth as possible. We decided on a Willow floor plan and moving in was a breeze. It's been 10 months since move in and have yet to be disappointed. This property is surrounded by tons of green space and Autumn seems to bring frequent deer and turkey sightings, not something I expected to encounter in Worcester! Up here, you can really check out from the hustle and bustle of city life while having the convenience of shopping, restaurants, and so much more close by. The apartment itself is in great shape and the occasional maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. For a property with so many tenants, you'll find it quiet and tranquil for the most part. There's a lot of small families, young professionals, & med students from what I've gathered. Parking hasn't been an issue here either. Overall, it's been a great experience! There's a lot more I can talk about but I don't want to drag this review out any more than necessary. I work all around the city and I've found myself visiting a majority of the rental properties in the last 10 months. I can honestly say I've found Audubon Plantation Ridge to have been a great choice compared to a lot of the others. I hope this helps anyone considering calling this property home. Audubon Plantation Ridge - Apartments Near Me - Worcester, Massachusetts

They have a big problem with mice and there is constantly broken glass in the parking lot. Very dangerous for kids and dogs! Lobbies and elevators smell like cigarettes. Pet owners beware - They charge $80/MONTH for a dog and $50/MONTH for a cat. The dog run was full of dog shit and wasn't cleaned once the entire year and a half I lived there. At one point they layed down new mulch on top of the dog shit! Disgusting! Be prepared for an annual rent increase of at least $200/month. Went back 3 separate times after moving out to clean and only got back about 15% the security deposit. Having paid $2,080 in pet fees ($130 x 16 months), that's absurd. Save your money. read more

I unfortunately lived here a very short period of time Due to having to move for my job. That being said this was a great place to live. I had a two bedroom two bathroom apt with a deck it was spacious, reasonably priced and had a great kitchen! I would 100% recommend this complex to someone and hopefully in the future find myself back there. read more

This place is CLEAN. I don't know how often the custodian makes his rounds but I swear, I feel like I see him every day. The floors are always spotless. It always smells fresh. The trash rooms are tidy and the recycling is emptied in a timely manner. Inside the units, everything is pretty new and freshly done up prior to move in. The floor plans are great. Even our bedroom, which felt a little small when we moved in, is just the right size to accommodate our furniture. I haven't noticed that the walls are too thin (though you may hear your neighbor directly across the hall coming and going). Our dogs usually can't hear us coming home until the lock is opened, and that's a blessing. Their breeds are known for being alert dogs. We have a puppy cam on them 24/7 that tells us if they start barking - they never do. It's a very peaceful community. There are LOTS of other dogs here, which can be tough to navigate when yours are barkers, but we make it work. The grounds are so spacious that there's plenty of areas to walk them without being disturbed. We're right up against a wooded area and a golf course, and coupled with the beautiful landscaping, you feel like you're miles outside the city. Other than that, parking is plentiful. The office staff is pleasant. I think you'd have a hard time finding a nicer apartment in a better area of Worcester. You definitely get what you pay for. read more

For the price this place need some updating. They have a no smoking policy, but it always reeks of cigarettes. The rugs in the hallways are completely stained and smell of trash. Plantation Ridge has basically turned into college dorm rooms. The work going on outside our windows (all seasons) is SO noisy. Sometimes it even goes on at 2-3am (I have slept on the bathroom floor to try an avoid it). My smoke detectors go off every time I cook even when there is barely any smoke because the fans just blow everything around (maintenance man told me they were basically pointless). And they try to go up on your rent at least over $200 each year. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! My treatment by the staff at Audubon Plantation Ridge as a potential tenant was anything but positive. As a long service nurse at UMASS Memorial Hospital, an entity this complex supposedly caters to, I am in disbelief with what happened to me there. The day I went to move in, I spent 45 minutes signing approximately 20 pages and giving Michelle Hippert, the Property Manager, my move in fee of $1,372.6 before being shown my apartment by the Joelle Granger, the Assistant Manager. During the walk-through of the actual apartment, as soon as we entered it reaked of cigarette smoke. It smelled like Motel 6. I was assured by Joelle it was previously occupied by a non-smoker and that the apartment had been professionally cleaned. The complex advertises itself as "smoke free." I expressed my concern to Joelle, who actually admitted she "was embarrassed." She showed me a vacant 2 bedroom apartment, for more money, that was available, and that apartment smelled fine - there was no evidence of smoke, as it should be. As Michelle, the manager, had left for the day, I was left with an unresolved situation. I showed up the next morning as soon as the office opened. I met with Michelle to express my disappointment and that I would not move into this smoke smelling apartment. She firmly denied that the apartment smelled of smoke, and explained she had a keen nose. She never did go to the apartment with me. I asked if the carpets could be replaced and the unit painted. She said the carpets had been deep cleaned and the apartment fully painted. She said she would "check with management" about the carpets being replaced and disappeared, only to return a few minutes later to state they were not willing to replace the carpets, or paint. I could move into the larger apartment for significantly more money, which I couldn't afford. The bigger issue, was the way in which I was treated - very rudely and unprofessionally. As a UMASS employee, I didn't expect this. I had no option but to cancel the movers who were lined up to move me that day. My parents had taken time off from work to move me, and were there with their cars loaded with my stuff. I had no apartment to move into. These actions by the Audubon Plantation staff turned my life upside down. I had to quickly try and find a place to live. For the next week I frantically looked at multiple apartments, only to discover that there were 2-3 month waiting periods for comparable apartments. After 8 days, I finally found an apartment, but there was a 2 month wait for me to move in. Michelle Hippert left this UMASS employee with no place to live. I went to the Marriott Residence Inn only to learn that it would cost over $5,100 for me to stay there for one month. Then I went to the Classic Inn & Suites, to find it would cost over $1,500 to stay there for a month, in a place that seemed unsafe. I have been left in the position of asking people to let me live with them for this two month time period until mid-June. This all could have been solved if the staff at Audubon Plantation Ridge had simply agreed to replace the carpeting and paint. For $1,660 per month, the renter should expect their unit to not smell of smoke when it is a "smoke free" complex. I also had been told by Joelle, the Assistant Manager that Audubon Plantation Ridge purchased the property from a previous owner, and that complex had allowed smoking. She stated that the "smoker apartments" had been completely gutted by Audubon. Apparently this one had been missed. I subsequently researched, and wrote to the owners of Audubon Plantation Ridge, Audubon Capital Partners, and explained what had happened to me. They did not respond. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPLEX TO ANYONE. BEWARE OF THE STAFF AND THE TREATMENT YOU WILL RECEIVE. read more
