Giving my honest review of this place after living here for a year and leaving due to the fact that there already pretty high rent (high because of the quality you get) is getting higher.. in the midst of winter. They're putting a luxury apartment rent price on a place that is very outdated and low quality. As you can see from the photos I attached. For about $1,600-$1,900 rent I don't expect there to be cracks in my walls, holes in the corners of every room, holes in the sink, problems with plumbing constantly, problems with heating (actually a huge problem - more on that later), loud environment (train, mowing almost every other day at 6 In the morning for couple of hours, always repairing apartments very loudly .. & the thin walls on top and on the sides, you can hear EVERYTHING..). More on the heating, I should've noticed it was a red flag when I signed the lease and they talked about "if your heat (heat is part of electric) bill goes higher than $300 in winter - we pay the rest!" Huh. Yay ! Right? Didn't matter to me because I'm rarely home and my bill never really passes $60. Wow when I tell you no matter how you crank the heat in winter.. it is always freezing. Come to realize the pipes are ANCIENT. No wonder why. So you're cranking the heat high and overworking them and wondering why your electric bill is through the roof. I've never had this happen to me in luxury apartments before. Also, there is no gym here. I'm huge on fitness and was very disappointed when I walked into a literal closet-space hallway with only 3 treadmills.... that is not a gym. I could keep going on but I'll just end this with, this definitely should not be trying to charge luxury apartment prices with such severely low quality just because KFC and Planet Fitness is down the street, that does not mean this is "conveniently located" which is one of the points they tried to give me upon asking why they were raising the rent $200. read more

My wife and I lived at Princeton Place for 6 years. The place is AWSOME! Management is AWSOME their maintenance team is AWSOME and if it were not because we bought a house we would still be living there. They take immaculate care of the grounds all year round. The pool, gym, playground even the dog park are always clean. The maintenance team would show up 24-7 when something happened to go wrong. They are conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores and night clubs. UMASS Memorial Hospital is 0.8 mi down the street. We have no complaints in 6 years and would recommend Princeton Place to everyone. Manny and Angie Q. read more

I applied to rent an apartment here and was declined. However, they still proceeded to withdraw the $500 deposit from my bank account because they took more than 48 hours to process my application, due to no fault of my own. Now I have to wait for their corporate office to mail a check, and go pick it up from the leasing office. And I'm stuck in a hotel because I can't put down a deposit anywhere else until I get my money back. read more

Lived here a few years ago. When I viewed the apartment complex they took me to a furnished unit in the front of the apartment. At that time I saw nothing out of place and, at 12:00 PM, was pretty quiet. When I moved into my actual apartment (at the very back), I was very disappointed. It had not been cleaned and the complex's age was showing. Closet doors that didn't close, loose flooring abounded. So first night, I woke up at 4:00 AM. Turns out right behind the complex there are many many train tracks. And a freight train comes through about that time. No one mentioned that. Then the next day I notice there is a ton of noise coming from above me. There must be like 18 people living there. So I go up and ask them to do what they can to be quiet. There was about 6 people in the one bedroom apartment. Totally made no attempt to do so. Then on my floor, my next door neighbor let her kids run up and down the hall from 7 AM to 9 PM. When I complained to her she said "no one else has complained." I went to Princeton fully expecting they would put an end to it. But all they managed to do was send letters. When nothing changed they gave me tude like "what do you expect?" "Maybe apartment living isn't for you." They were so right apartment living at Princeton Place was not for me, or anyone else with reasonable expectation of a nice place to live. In addition, in my short time there, I noticed overflowing trash bins, a tremendous smell of curry, and not such a great area surrounding the complex. The staff seemed unconcerned at losing me and later I found out why. The complex is so close to U Mass and has contracts with U Mass for their people - the U Mass people own the place and can do what they want. I took advantage of the "Princeton pledge" that allows you to break your lease within the first 30 days if you don't like it. Oh btw, I found that on line, they didn't tell me about it. And moved out. I wouldn't recommend the complex unless you work for U Mass. read more

Hi Sarah, thank you for the reply. I have received the call from the manager and we work out the solution together by having some folks help us moving these garbages out. I appreciate your help and quick action after seeing my complaint on the internet. People will not usually leave weared socks, period pads, beer bottles and toilet brushes to their friends, right? These are the things that really drived me mad when what I expected is a well-cleaned and no-others-belongings apartment. STAY AWAY! DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE! I have had so many problems here, it is ridiculous. The office ladies are extremely rude (Except for Carla). To the point where I cannot believe the level of sarcasm and disrespect coming out of their mouths. They truly do not care about people, and are blinded by money. They lied to us about the terms of our lease. When we explained to them that we needed flexibility in our move out date because I was in the process of applying to schools with various starting dates, they were only too happy to accommodate us. They changed the wording of the lease and gave me a two month period where I could leave as long as I provided a 60 day notice. Flash forward to now, and they are denying that this ever happened. They claim that this 2 month period was never optional, and that we are rent responsible for longer than they originally told us. I went to complain about it, and I received nothing but snarky remarks. I tried again, with similar results. I spoke to the property manager, and he was even more rude to me. This is not the only problem here either. The dog park is a complete disaster, and walking into it after the sun goes down will mean that your shoes will inevitably be covered in dog crap. The gym never has any wipes, and is subsequently disgusting. When I ask them to put more wipes in there, I get nothing but sarcastic remarks, as they explain to me why it doesn't matter. This year they switched to doing snow removal by themselves. The difference between last year and this year is unbelievable. Sure, they plowed the parking lot roads, but they did not even make an attempt to keep the sidewalks clear, and they were covered with feet of snow for the entire winter. It is crazy how inconvenient this is when trying to take out your small dog that can't walk through that much snow. Now for the worst offense. One of the property managers has on two separate occasions stolen from me. I caught her the second time, and followed her out of the building asking for my property back. She refused to give it back, and then threatened to call the police on me (for what? who knows?). I have asked them to put in writing that they will only enter the apartment with my written consent, yet they denied my request. I feel unsafe in my apartment, and really just want to move out, but they will not let me. Well, you have all been warned. STAY AWAY! They will put smiles on their faces and tell you EXACTLY what you want to hear when you go to sign your lease, but believe me, THEY ARE LYING. read more

Great complex with every accommodation you could need. Amazing staff who were very helpful and a very convenient location. The property was very quiet and clean. Tammy helped us with everything we could ask for, and we would stay here again in the future. read more
