Finding Scholl Construction for our dream house was a true blessing. Pete and his team made this…read morecustom house project less stressful but more fun and memorable. We are forever grateful with Pete's professional and honest advice throughout the project. It is also worth mentioning that even our bank was impressed with Pete's responsiveness to their calls and queries. They said, "it's always a good sign when you can talk directly to the owner and not given the runaround". Our experience was a little unique since part of our build timeline was in the beginning of the pandemic, when everything shutdown except for the essential workers. Despite the challenges, Scholl construction was able to complete the project as scheduled without compromising the safety of the tradespeople. As a healthcare worker, I admired Pete's dedication to ensure everyone's health and safety. Besides Scholl construction's trustworthiness and reliability, their workmanship is topnotch! I wish I can share more pictures It has been a little over a year since we moved in, yet we still continue to fall in love with this little abode each day. More power to Scholl Construction!!!!

One of the questions was that I was unsure if I was supposed to sign the quote and send it back, since there wasn't the usual signature line or really anywhere to sign. After a few days and not getting a response, I called and left a message. I didn't get a call back. I called the next day and was able to reach someone, and I was told she sent the questions over to Steve, and he would be answering them but he's been out of the office getting more jobs. I didn't hear back, so I followed up with email again and another call. Since no one answered the phone, I left a message. After nearly 10 days and no response, I left one final voicemail and sent one final email and I never got a response. It was always difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. And on top of it, the one time I was able to reach someone by phone after I got my quote, I was able to ask the person who answered if I was supposed to sign the quote (since there was no place to sign) and send it back or if I needed to verbally agree and I would get a formal contract. I was told I had to visit the office between 8:30 and 4pm to review and sign the contract before work could start. Sorry, but I'm not taking time off work to sign a contract. In this day and age, you can't require working people to take time off work. Send a PDF via email so I can sign it, print it, scan it and send it back. Still never got a call back. ??? Only thing I can say is that Steve is very knowledgeable and a very nice guy, just don't expect any work done, especially if you are talking to the lady in the office (when she is there and answering the phone...)

I had already made a claim with my insurance company (name intentionally withheld). With the estimate in hand, we hired Benjamin Brothers to complete the work and be our representative with our insurance company. I didn't want the headache and they knew what to do. As typical with insurance claims adjusters, they tried to nickel and dime the claim and Lee and Cody fought back to get the repair covered and each piece of damage compensated. Due to the back-and-forth, the job was delayed (weather/seasons) and the insurance tried to not pay the depreciation funds. We fought back again and the funds were finally released. The work was done professionally and when there was a slight issue with the repair, they corrected it immediately.
