Bernie gave us a good estimate and made great accommodations to fit the job into our schedule. The crew showed up on time. They were professional. They worked hard. It was clear that Bernie and the crew made every effort to do the job well and safely for the crew as well as our property. The job was done in a single day which considering the access was amazing. The clean-up was thorough and they put everything on the patio back to its original place. Based on our experience, I would recommend Chico Tree Service to friends, neighbors and family.

They had come out the afternoon before to give us an estimate, after having just spoken to me on the phone that morning. They gave me a reasonable bid and offered to do the work the very next day. At the agreed upon time of 8:30, they promptly began the work. They did everything they promised and then some. I was raking more leaves on my property and they told me that they would do it for me. They not only completed the contracted work, but used a blower to clean all of the leaves around our chicken coop, trees and driveway, then raked them up and hauled everything away. My husband and I were working on moving top soil to our front yard by wheelbarrow and they offered to use their Bobcat to distribute the dirt for us at no extra cost. That kind gesture saved me a lot of time as well as my back! I highly recommend this wonderful family business to everyone who needs tree service and yard clean-up work. Diana F.

Very unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude!…read more I made two appointments within a week with this woman, Olga. She didn't bother to show up for the first one, didn't text or call to apologize. I have to thank this business from the bottom of my heart. After a morning of frantically calling…read morethe local police Dept, fire dept, and pg&e because my cat had climbed an almost 40 ft telephone like pole in our neighboring backyard. Each place told us no, there was nothing they could do to help us. I was shocked and hysterical. I called a few tree services and each place was too booked or wasn't open yet. I finally reached Petersen Tree Care and John (I assume the owner) answered. I was choking through tears explaining my situation. He told me not to worry and my cat would be okay and that he would send his crew out right away. Shortly after, Patrick and Thomas showed up ready to help. I assumed once they saw the scenario they would tell me sorry and that they couldn't do it due to the location of the pole. But Patrick was ready to do whatever it took to get her down. About an hour and a half of him in the cherry picker trying to reach her with jury-rigged 2X4s screwed together, Patrick still didn't give up. Patrick ended up getting her down safely to us after 3 hours of her stuck 35ft up on the pole. We can not thank this business enough. In all future tree cutting endeavors etc they will always have our business. Thank you so much!
