It's still the same old - a little dark and dingy and sticky tables, but all much expected from Stuff. The service is alright and the vibes are pretty chill. I got the Roth Boli which is a chicken, bacon, ranch, tomato Stromboli. They're known for their Stromboli's. I don't find it that unique, but they taste alright anyway. It's filling. The spicy beef potachos is a new potachos added to the menu since I last visited. My friend got it. There's a lot of flavors going on at once. It's just a tiny hint of spicy. Stuff Yer Face has been a New Brunswick landmark for the last 40 years. It's also a rite of passage for every Rutgers University student. If you haven't been to Stuff Yer Face at least once during your 4 years there, you can't call yourself a Rutgers grad. I think it had been about 10 years, since I was last here. Not much has changed from the green awning, to the inside bar and upstairs seating. It all looks pretty much the same. The specialty here is the boil (aka Stromboli). There's dozens of choices to choose from and if none of those strike your fancy, you can always create your own. The large boil is substantial enough to fill you up and even take half home, depending on your appetite. You could also order a baby boli for the same price, which includes a salad. The prices on everything are very reasonable; catering to a college crowd. Stuff Yer Face is more about nostaliglia for me than the actual food. My brother suggested we eat at Stuff Yer Face since it was right next to my niece's apartment and she was in the middle of finals at Rutgers. Plus, this is apparently one of the notable places to nosh on campus. The outside isn't that noteworthy, but they do offer outdoor seating if you want to people-watch the students hustle and bustle about. The inside is busy with pictures (a lot of them of Adam Richman from "Man vs. Food," who visited Stuff Yer Face), people and noise and has the feel of a classier dive bar. We were seated next to the bar, so I could barely hear my family members and had to shout to be heard (but in all fairness, this is probably part of the atmosphere that the college students like and I've always liked more quiet places). Stuff Yer Face is know for their Strombolis or "bolis" as they're referred to here and they have many, many options to choose from. I had the four cheese boli and it reminded me of a bigger hot pocket cut in half. It was just okay. I was underwhelmed especially since there were pictures of a "celebrity" plastered all of the walls and they have a reputation for having great "bolis." You might not be a true Rutgers students unless you've visited Stuff Yer Face. A true Rutgers classic in the downtown New Brunswick scene. Also, probably one of my top 5 places in the "places you must visit when coming to Rutgers". My biggest recommendation is to get the $18 fishbowl which can easily be a good time for about 4 people. Actually, get the Horny Hawaiian fishbowl which is my personal favorite and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere of this place is a typical bar only it's really geared towards the college crowd so do expect loud noise, drunkenness and a very good time. The bartenders are consistently good always. The only complaint I do have is that on some nights they seem a bit short staffed. Other than that, if you're from the New Brunswick area, went to Rutgers University, go to Rutgers University, in the area and under the age of 35 (lol) def come to this place and you'll really enjoy yourself!! read more

I usually only come to Stuff Yer Face for fishbowls and drinks as a pregame for the night, but this time I sat down and ate some from its menu for dinner. I had to try its famous bolis (and get some starch in my stomach), so I decided to get the mushroom baby boli which also came with a salad or soup. I decided to try to french onion soup after my friend recommended me about how great it tasted. The french onion soup was really good, topped with a layer of melted cheese that oozes onto the soup below. I think it just had a little too much onion in the actual soup for me, as I prefer more soup. My baby boli was the perfect size and filled me up (the regular boli is huge!), and I loved the ingredients inside it. It was also a pretty decent price for the meal for the amount of food you get. Stuff Yer Face, affectionately called Stuff's by Rutgers students, is my favorite place to spend a crazy weekend night. It's famous for 3 things: potachos, strombolis, and fishbowls. The potachos are a bizarre combination of potato chips, cheese, sauce, and meat. My favorite is the original potachos, which have ketchup and bacon. The pulled pork potachos come with BBQ sauce and are delicious as well. Skip the chicken potachos - they're not worth it. I personally think the strombolis are overrated. The dough to filling ratio is too high, so you're mostly eating bland dough. Stuff's brags about their large strombolis, but I've split their largest (18 inch) stromboli with one other person and both of us were still hungry afterwards. Stuff's fishbowls are massive 60 oz jugs of alcoholic juice. Getting a fishbowl is a rite of passage for Rutgers students after turning 21, so I've had more of these than I can count. My favorite is the Blue Bang, and the Horny Hawaiian is also pretty good. Much like the infamous jungle juice at frat parties, the alcohol content in fishbowls varies widely, so one day you might be able to down two jugs without a problem, but another day you and four friends might barely finish one. Never underestimate the power of a fishbowl, even though it appears to be mostly ice! Whether it's to celebrate a birthday, to pre-game before going to bars, or to get some food after a wild night out, Stuff's is the best place to go. read more

Known for its Stomboli's, the busy restaurant is one of the most popular hangout spots at night, especially for college students. Everytime I go, it's always a full house. I mean, who isn't craving pizza. And if Stromboli's are basically wrapped up pizzas, then there's your answer!! Stromboli's come in 3 sizes, the baby (4.5"), large (9"), and huge (18"). The large is enough for me. Some people will get a huge and split. There's so many options to choose from, but I typically enjoy the tomato sauce based bolis (like Roni&Sausage boli or Meatball boli) as opposed to the Roth boli since they have more sauce inside to keep it from tasting dry. At the very bottom of the page, there's also an option to create your own! Potachos are a MUST. Ideally you could order one plate for a group of 3-4 people and it's probably enough to fill you before the main course, but I've done it with only 2 people and we had no regrets so do as you please! Fishbowls are also a popular staple, though at $21 per pitcher of mixed drink, I honestly don't enjoy the artificial tastes enough to get it. This place has been a staple of New Brunswick for 25+ years, and it's better than i remember it being. Over the years they've really built their beer list, expanded to an outside patio and have created a restaurant that exceeds expectations. I went to college in New Brunswick so I've been to Stuff yer Face countless times and can write a fair review from multiple visits. I would say it's rare to find a seat at the bar, and I think the reason is because everyone knows you get better service at the bar. However, I'm just talking about the inside bar; there is also an outside bar! During the spring / summer months this free's up some space inside, but there is a lot of space to sit outside too. Stuff yer Face is famous for their craft beer selection, "fish bowls" and "boli's." They offer 4 different mixes of the fish bowl, which essentially is a huge mixed drink that probably will get you buzzed if not drunk if you drink the whole thing by yourself. If you are a light weight I would advice to understand what you're getting yourself into (haha). The Horny Hawaiian seems to be the most popular mix. They offer a really unique and great appetizer, I believe the spelling is Pochachos. These are potato chips with meet, salsa, sour cream, and all other types of delicious toppings. If you're with 3-4 or more you MUST order this. Now the best part, the BOLI'S! If you don't know, the stromboli's (boli's) are amazing! They come in two different sizes, large and HUGE! I used to get the huge back in my college days, but now I tend to stick with the large (especially if you order the Potachos). If you're wondering what kinds of bolis they offer, my answer would be infinite; they have pages of different boli's to get. Some of the more popular ones tend to be pepperoni and sausage and the chipotle boli. I personally like "the original." The only bad thing about this place is the service. I don't always think it's their fault either; this place can great crazy busy. Even though I think the service is poor (the bar service is good) I still come because the food is worth it. read more

There is a 1.5 hour limit on tables which didn't seem to be a problem for us. There are no draft beers currently, and there unfortunately was no mixed drink menu. They were also out of many beers, which is understandable during this time. The Stromboli were decent - no baby bolis at the moment so you have a choice of large or huge. The waitress was sweet and on top of things. the kitchen forgot the tomato sauce on my boli but the waitress was quick to bring out a side for me which was thoughtful. It is obviously not a upscale restaurant, its a college bar so the food they provide is appropriate for the bar you are in. The ecstasy fries are probably one of my favorite thing on the menu. I have not tried anything I didn't like at this place. It gets a little crowded especially on weekend nights in the summer, but its not a bad thing if you enjoy that NIGHTLIFE & DRINKS: They are known for their fish bowls and they are great! not too pricey. maybe $15, but you have to remember they come in huge pitchers! It's loud, so if you're surprised, welcome to a college town bar/restaurant. It's almost like a Rutgers' students watering hole, so don't come here expecting a quiet dining experience. Even on a Tuesday summer night, the outdoor bar was loud and "happening." Ideal for outdoor dining or drinking on a warm night. Ample seating options for all on their patio. Ordered the Emily Boli and was completely taken with the delicious combination of vegetables and pizza fix-ins. Don't let the sizes fool you, a large will satisfy you beyond measure and is perfect for grumbling stomachs. Not interested in pizza? Feel free to pick from their sandwiches, salads or appetizers. We always create our own and go for the Large so that we have enough for two meals. They offer so many different ingredients to customize your Boli from Brie Cheese to a Chipotle Aioli. The Bolis already come with some standard default ingredients that you can build off of, like Mozz, Tomato Sauce, Onions and Peppers. Depending on when you venture out, they offer decent drink specials but even when they don't, the prices are reasonable. If it's a weekend, be prepared to wait. They have an ok turnaround time for tables but it gets pretty crowded. They have a dining room upstairs, two downstairs by the bar and in the back front. They also have outdoor seating and bar area. It gets lively, they have fun two-person cocktails, darts, teles and great energy. We love coming here to eat and you will too. Oh and try their other food also.
