I wanted my ears repierced after I had let the holes close up after having had a bad reaction to some cheapy earrings I wore years ago. I found this place via Google and I just happened to be at Fashion Island. I went in as a walk-in. Consultation was quick and I already knew what I wanted. The one thing I did not expect was that they don't use a piercing gun, but it is actually better. I did not experience the hours long massive headache I would have after having my ears pierced with the piercing gun. They use use sterile single-use needles instead. It just felt like pinch when they were doing it and that was it. I've been following the self-care instructions and have not had any issues such as swelling or pain. This place is a little on the pricier side, but I think it's worth it. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, if I remember correctly? Everyone there was super nice and answered all of the questions and concerns I had. Definitely recommend! I'm now considering getting a second piercing! read more

I honestly don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was so upsetting and disappointing that I feel like I have to warn others. To be fair, they did reimburse me the full amount, but that doesn't change the fact that I completely wasted my time and had to deal with a stressful situation that never should have happened in the first place. When I first walked into STUDS, everyone was very accommodating and friendly, which made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to get pierced here. I was getting my tragus pierced, so I knew anatomy approval and proper placement were really important. Midori was my piercer and approved both my anatomy and the placement. We discussed where it would go, and everything seemed fine at the time. I normally stick with my regular piercer, but I wanted to try somewhere new because I had heard good things about this place. As soon as I left, I realized the piercing was completely wrong. It was visibly crooked and slanted downward instead of going straight through my tragus. There was also a full, noticeable gap between my ear and the front of the jewelry instead of it sitting flat and flush like it's supposed to. I started feeling a weird pain in my jaw, and the piercing was visibly along my facial line, I could literally feel it when I talked or moved my mouth. What made this even more alarming was that there was absolutely no room left on the post for swelling. The backing was already pressing into my skin, and it was starting to embed into my cheek. You can clearly see in the attached photo that the front piece sticks out at an odd angle while the back is digging into my skin. I was so concerned and upset that I went straight to my own piercer the same day. She told me it had been pierced incorrectly and that I needed to remove it immediately or it would become fully embedded. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated that a piercing done by a professional studio turned out this badly. This should never have happened. Even though I got a full refund, I still left being completely let down because my time and trust were wasted. I would not recommend getting a piercing here based on my experience. read more

Very dissapointed. I went in to Studs with a friend who got hers done the day before, everything was fine with my appointment and my piercer but the lady who did my friend was absolutely and utterly unproffesional. There was little to no guidance and the appointment was oddly quick, she really just pierced her and sent her on her way without really saying a word. But besides the service, her and my ears are extremely bruised, bloody, and painful, as today (4 days after I got pierced) I woke up with dry blood around my left piercing, even though I have been taking the correct procautions with Saline every morning and night. I'm hoping that they don't heal weirdly or get badly infected. Why did Claire's do a better job on my first piercing than Studs did on my seconds? read more

I went in 7 months ago to get my double piercings and change my tragus to a flat back. it was pretty pricey but I heard good reviews. The lady in the front was super nice and helpful finding me the right earrings and going over all my options. The piercer I had (I do not have or remember her name unfortunately--dark hair with lots of tattoos and glasses) was kind of stand off ish and didn't really talk and did the piercings super quick without even alerting me when she was going to pierce my ear. It felt like she just wanted to get it over with. I didn't tip her because of this reason, but now I am really glad I didn't because now that my piercings are healed they are definitely uneven. I find this super infuriating because I paid so much and it shouldn't be hard to get them even. I should have taken more time to check them at the time but I just felt super rushed by the piercer. In the photos you can see I'm wearing the same earrings on each ear and the one is lower with more gap. The Tragus earring I also bought fell out after a few months after too and those are way to expensive to be falling out. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this place. read more

They were nice, but they did an earring change for me on my flat with a flat back that was supposed to stay there & be permanent. I let them know I planned to sleep with it, shower with it & they mentioned I should come back to get it switched out. It's been 3 weeks & it already fell out. Spent $60 on that piece of jewelry with a $15 piercing change fee just for it to fall out a few weeks later. I don't know where it went. Definitely a little upset about it.. Not gonna be going back again :( read more

I was strolling around on Fashion Island on this beautiful Sunday evening and this store caught my eye. I recently got my ears re pierced and wanted a new earring for them and this store had it ALL. With a wide selection of flat back earrings and a case specifically for them that was extremely well put together and organized. You would think the best part about this place would be the earrings but the workers are even better. I was helped by Jasmine and Millie who have amazing customer service skills and are extremely informative on their job. I asked them a variety of questions and they both were extremely kind and welcoming to talk to. The manager Beks was a pure reflection of her employees and you can tell they truly love their job. I was in and out of this place in less than 10 minutes because of their hard-work. Honestly I would never go to another jewelry store because of how organized and how many options they have. The piercer Midori was fantastic and made the process extremely smooth. If you're not coming to studs you're not doing it right ! I will be back again and hopefully you stop by too. read more
