After the initial phone call I was sure this would be the best place to do my treatment. When I arrived the Dr. was over an hour late. The Clinic was clean and nice. Dr Khan however smelled like smoke when he entered the room and wasn't very friendly or calming. There wasn't much follow up after just a feedback email. If you want a sculpted look I would not go here. The results to me were not worth the price at all. I really encourage you to do your research and take time to decide if the Dr. You are choosing is right. I really wish I had gone to Miami or elsewhere. I have been seeing StudioMD since December 2022 for my hair FUE transplantation. Everyone and everything has been consistent and professional. The transplant team did a good job was friendly, and cognizant of any issues I may have. The nursing staff answered all of my questions and was always available to me for any level of questions (medical, financial, etc). Erica at Laser Touch is amazing! I had gender confirmation surgery from male to female, and therefore needed a series of electrolysis treatments to completely eradicate the residual facial hair. I had a lot of tough blonde & white wire like hair in deep follicle roots, and after a series of treatments she all but completely got rid of any facial hair that remained. It's important to schedule a block of appointments to ensure the treatments last and become permanent, otherwise the hair is likely to grow back after a month or so. However, scheduling several appointments and making sure the schedule follows the growth cycle of your hair will ensure that she can completely eradicate any unwanted facial and/or body hair. So I had called on Jan 28th to make an appointment for morpheus 8 for Feb 18th. Seemed like it would work out. I was told that prior to my appointment I would receive a call to let me know what active ingredients in skincare I need to discontinue use. I am very family with morpheus 8 as I have done a ton of research and understand you need to stop using active ingredient and that there will be down time. So I had schedule my life around this. By Feb 15th I have received no call. I had already stop using my active topicals because I know better. I called them to double check if there's anything else I need to stop doing for my appointment in 3 days. They informed "oh we meant to call you...we can't do Morpheus 8 on Friday at the midtown location because the machine is at the soho location" So I inquired why I was able to make the appointment, why no one ever called me to change my appointment or let me know. All I got was an "idk". I asked if I can go to the soho location even though it's a huge inconvenience but I have been looking forward to this for weeks and planned my whole schedule around this to accommodate the down time. I am then told that the soho location is completely booked. I asked if there was another location that I can go to because this is completely on them. They screwed up. And I was told "maybe we can move the machine to Brooklyn" makes no sense but they couldn't do that either. This place is completely disorganized and there's no way you should let someone stick needles in your face if simple scheduling and procedure is over their head. Any reputable place would have called or reached out in way a week prior to discuss my pretreatment routine. And would have caught that the machine is not at the location of service. How do you literally only think 3 days before a schedule appointment that machine needed is at a different location. Also, not to mention what if I didn't know to stop using my skin care because no one ever called me to tell me anything. This place is just after your money. I recently went into StudioMD to have a procedure done by Dr. Khan. Specifically, I wanted to treat excess fat in my abdominal area and decided to opt for smart lipo. Dr. Khan is very sure of himself as a doctor, which put a lot of my woes to the side. This was my first large cosmetic surgery, so I was extremely nervous. On the day of my procedure, I was delayed because some events were happening in the city, and Dr. Khan and his nurses were extremely accommodating. They let me take my time (I had to pee and just couldn't because of nerves until 2 minutes before surgery) and even gave me pep talks and stress balls to calm my nerves. When we got to work, it was quick and effortless. Dr. Khan allowed me to ask as many questions as I wanted and even called the next day to see how I was doing. They prescribed meds that were ready for pickup immediately and even gave me additional meds that I asked for pain management just in case. One of the amazing nurse technicians even text me afterward and shared her favorite shapewear and other things to help with recovery. I know many of these things seem like, "yeah, they should do that", but I've seen a lot of practices that don't. I also felt the price was fairly affordable since I've seen similar pricing outside of NYC. I'm beginning to feel beautiful in my body again, and I am so thankful to Dr. Khan and his staff. I had my second laser lipo procedure done by Dr. Khan and was again pleased with the results. I want to focus my review on what I feel is the common misunderstanding of this procedure. Lipo can only impact subcutaneous fat... period. If you don't address the visceral fat thru diet and exercise, you may still feel like you're looking rotund in your overall procedure. Laser Lipo is a sculpting procedure and that's exactly what I have gone to Dr. Khan for. I work hard on diet and exercise and then I would still have unsightly bulges that I didn't like seeing, which is where Dr. Khan came in to remedy. Subcutaneous fat is hard to address thru diet and exercise because the human body is pragmatic, not vain . Diet and exercise causes the body to drain fat stores from where it is most efficient to obtain energy from, which is visceral fat and not subcutaneous. Subcutaneous fat is evolutions answer to not freezing to death or alcohols answer to its calories your body simply can't metabolize. So before you leave a pissy review, please actually understand this procedure. As you can see in the attached photos, dr khan was able to get at these unsightly bulges I had so my skin could be more taut around the musculature of my body. One part of this second procedure included a bit of overlap to an area khan had done the first time around but was left with a slight asymmetry. You have to expect the possibility of that because if you have the procedure done you would know that he has to eyeball this as best he can while your body is bloated with the saline epinephrine/pain numbing solution. I've seen people complain about this before and it bugs me because it's illogical. He doesn't have X-ray vision and he's doing this all thru pin-hole incisions. He has to balance his precision against nicking an area that the pain solution hasn't numbed, which has happened to me; and I can assure you that you do NOT want him aspiring to color precisely between the lines to hit those boundaries because it would turn a relatively painless procedure into a painful one. I continue to go to Khan rather than taking advantage of groupons or deals at other lipo places because once you find someone with whom you have confidence in their competence, you don't stray from that. read more
