A confidence booster. Her name is Alivia. I showed her photos of hair styles, we talked quite a bit, she listened, provided suggestions and explained in detail what she planned to do and why. She is attentive, thorough and an absolute delight. The cherry on the top is that I can walk to the salon. Thank you Alivia.

I live near Parkville but had never thought to look there for some reason. After visiting Tiffany at Aura Hair Studio this past week, I'm SO glad I decided to try this place. The studio is adorable and tastefully decorated. All the staff I came in contact with were very nice and helpful. My stylist, Tiffany, did a fantastic job and really listened to what I had to say and my needs and wants. She provided input and made suggestions along the way, which I greatly appreciated. She also explained why she suggested alternatives so I would understand why that may be a better option for me. We were definitely on the same page and as a result my cut and highlights turned out wonderfully. I also got to speak to the owner for a few moments as she introduced herself and gave me some of Tiffany's background and hair expertise. The pricing is fair and competitive with other salons I've been to and researched. For partial highlights & a cut, with wash and style included, it was $110. All of their prices are online so you can decide if it's within your budget or not beforehand. While I am frugal, $110 was definitely worth walking out of the salon feeling great and having exactly what I asked for. I'm so pleased with Tiffany and all of the staff at Aura Hair Studio!

Been coming to this location for years because I have always received good service in the past. I…read morecame in today and got the absolute worst haircut I've ever had in my entire life. When I walked back with the stylist Denise, I explained to the her how I wanted my hair done. It's the same haircut I've been getting since 2017 and her response was "Is there anything I can do to talk you out of that haircut?" I was immediately taken aback at the rudeness and the presumption. At that same time I explained to her what I wanted done with my sideburns and that I wanted a hard part and not even a minute later after she put her equipment together, she asked me what I want done with my side burns and I had to explain that to her again. She again asked if I wanted the hard part which I told her again yes and the whole time I'm thinking in my head "Am I not explaining this correctly?" I also again had to repeat to her three times that I did not want her to cut the top of my hair she then gets done with my haircut. There's no hard part and I feel like she's so incompetent at this point that I just want to get out of there as fast as I can and then go up to the counter to pay. I go to pay with cash, and I set it on the counter, after having told her that I had to leave and didn't need a receipt and instead of telling me, Thank you, she completely ignores me, calls over somebody to help her with the cash register and then again asked me if I need a receipt, which just reiterated to me that she wasn't paying attention to a single thing I was saying to her. Horrible customer service, and inability to demonstrate listening skills, I can't imagine in that line of work ever asking "is there anything I can do to talk you out of what you want?", just a horrible, horrible experience all the way around. Edit: Denise still emailed me a receipt after I told her twice I didn't need it or want it. Why ask questions if you're not gonna listen you're in the wrong profession if you can't pay attention to what people are saying. Edit 2: get home and am talking to my adult son who stopped by, and am explaining what happened to him and he points out the line in the back of neck is super crooked as well. Just keeps getting worse, It will grow back I guess....
