Made my appointment 10 days a go with Jolene, her Assistant said, she is busy and I have to wait 30-45 minutes, after waiting 45 minutes , he was about washing my hair, Jolene start complaining that he didn't have a conversation with her and she is busy and she doesn't have time to give a new customer a haircut,like I can not hear or see her attitude!! she was so Rude and obnoxious !!! Jolene and Studio OC is amazing! I have been going here for 6 years, and never looked back. I started having thyroid issues and Jolene was the first to alert me to have my thyroid checked - she was right and I was completely hypothyroid. I have gotten my thyroid issue under control and now been getting extensions (which I love ) for the last several years. My Mom has stage 4 breast cancer and I bring her to see Jolene - She loves on her, and makes her feel pretty (which she is) and even helped her with her wigs when that time came (Who knew you styled and cut wigs to suit your face?? Great little neighborhood salon! It's convenient, clean and hip. Tiffany is my hairdresser, she is an amazing hair stylist! She's a color expert, does awesome balayage and she's always up to date on the latest techniques, tips and tricks! Tiffany is hip, young, talented, professional and very sweet. We always have a great time at the salon! Prices are good and fair too. UPDATE: My hairdresser Tiffany moved to Dedications Salon in Laguna Niguel a few months ago-THANK GOODNESS! The chairs were uncomfortable to sit in and the decor is super early 2000s Ikea, dusty and a little dirty, unorganized, no receptionist.The place needs a major update. I was very disappointed in this salon. The woman who greeted me did not smile or welcome me. She told me crossly who would be cutting my hair and told me to wait. I sat down. Then she and another stylist began discussing my stylist. They stated that she needed to return to beauty school, that she didn't listen to what her client needed, and that she tended to take over and do whatever she wanted. The stylist came out and directed me, rather crossly, to another seating area and pointed toward the magazine rack stating she wasn't ready yet. When she was ready she briefly asked what I wanted to have done with my hair. I tried to explain that I wanted the back brought up a bit and that it had been some time since my last haircut. She washed my hair and told me to sit in the chair. She went off to help her previous customer again. She returned and began to cut my hair. She said little to me in way of conversation, aside from how did I want the hair around my ears. While it is only hair and I know it will grow back, I have never felt so unwelcome in a place in my life. I will not be returning to this salon. read more

First, what good is an appointment when you still had to wait 20 minutes before the stylist got you in the chair. I came to Studio OC because I wanted to take out my old extensions (sewn in) and have some tape in extensions put in instead. I moved to OC recently and did not know where to go so I have been waiting to find the right salon and stylist and I chose to go to Jolene at Studio OC. I really did not know what to expect but after visiting the salon a few times; I thought I would give her a try. My hair was very dark on top with blonde at the ends and I didn't really want to bleach it again on top because it was causing damage to my hair but I wanted to be mostly blonde. Jolene knew exactly what to do with the color and she did a weave on my hair that turned out amazing! I have never had a stylist who has an assistant to help but she has a full time assistant named Lewis who was so helpful and was very good at hair too! Jolene and Louis are a great team and are very knowledgeable about hair and extensions. Once my color was done, she had all of the tape extensions on hand so I didn't have to pre-order them and she put them in my hair. She was able to match the color of my hair perfectly with the extensions that she used. I was impressed with the quality of extensions that she installed because they were very soft and some of the best I have ever seen and felt! She cut and styled my hair for me and I left there very happy! Not only is Jolene amazing at hair and has been doing it for over 30+ years; she is an absolute sweetheart and such a fun lady to talk to. She made me feel very comfortable and I look forward to my next appointment with her. I am very disappointed as I wrote another review and the owner must have paid Yelp to take it down. We had a horrible experience at this salon. The owner has customer service issues and is unable to approach client concerns professionally without personal emotion attached. We were over charged and mistreated. My 74 year old mother was taken advantage of. She is not a candidate for hair extensions (due to extremely thinning hair) yet had them put in at this salon and charged $650 for 4 hair extensions. We've had them since removed elsewhere, but what a horrible experience. The owner would not even refund the tip my mother was unaware she left and did not want to leave. They walked her to her car for her to get her credit card in the name of "chivalry". I've never met another salon who walks their client to the car to make sure they get their credit card. This whole experience left our family feeling so horrible, including my mother. I never leave bad reviews, but this was too much for me to ignore. read more

Got in for a same day appointment and came in a few hours later. The first stylist that sat me inquired what I was wanting and suggested another stylist in the salon take me, who does that? Someone that cares enough not to ruin your hair trying a style they are not comfortable with! The second stylist Farrah did an amazing job! I have a short asymmetrical bob that I have been growing out from a pixie cut I had previously there was A TON of outgrowth to deal with and she really took her time to make sure the texture and length were just right. My hair is also naturally curly and when I explained I normally flat iron my hair she didn't hesitate to whip out her GHD flat iron and straighten my hair to make sure it would look great styled that way as well.
