Very importantly Gregg is deeply rooted in the Bay Area community and you can see his work at major exhibitions, office buildings, and community institutions. We started with colors and frame style. Greg expertly shared his opinion and then proceeded to provide samples of both our selections for choice. Once i felt comfortable with the top 2 choices we discussed installing a mat or going without. At no point did I feel pressured to choose one way or the other during the process. When the final choices had been made, Greg worked up a price estimate . It was pure sticker shock ( the good variety )! The price was about 60% less than competitors with a larger storefront. Great value for the service and quality of workmanship. The final product provides me a great sense of relief and pride, as now I have provided a worthy means to display these fine pieces of art that I hold special attachment to.

We went with a sort of ruggedized shadow box style using glare-proof museum acrylic (that won't shatter like glass), and the end-result is beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations! Paul (who's such a nice guy and a pleasure to work with) listened carefully and then applied his creativity and skill to capture exactly the look I wanted...sort of rustic with an authentic Western feel. He chose the perfect colors and textures for the backing and frame to make the silver buckles really stand out. The craftsmanship is just exceptional, with each buckle perfectly aligned and very securely mounted (he put a lot of work into this), showing real precision, balance and a real sense of skill and pride. The overall result feels solid/sturdy and looks artful and clean. He even installed heavy-duty hardware so that I can mount it to my horse's stall. It was fun discussing the project with Paul. He wanted to understand the meaning and significance of of the pieces being framed up and the theme and look I wanted and he absolutely nailed it. The turnaround was quick, the quality amazing and the display looks like something out of a Western art gallery even though it'll hang right where it belongs, on the wall of my horse's stall!

After 25 years in storage we placed the art on the living room wall. My mom loves the piece and still comments on how wonderfully the frame and mat compliment the art piece. This year when my father gave me one of his original Ansel Adams photos that was garishly framed I was ecstatic to know Chandler was still in business. I had a frame style in mind but Susan showed me how a small difference in the frame style that was still simple but emphasized the beauty of the photo. She also expertly chose a mat color that brought out details in the photo. I picked up the framed photo this week and it is spectacular. Surprisingly you do not pay that much more to have your art framed at Chandler than a Michaels or Fast Frame but the difference in quality is exponential. The difference is Susan's capability to help you choose a style you like while respecting the beauty of the art piece. You will not receive this type of experience and expertise at other framing companies.

Susan is very good to work with assisting you on picking out a frame to make as well as all aspects of creating your finished piece. Chandler has made several frames for me and each time the work is impeccable and up to museum standards, and at a price that beats many other custom high end frame shops in SF and it won't take a year to get your frame finished either. They have an extensive selection of simple to very interesting frames to chose from. I am so glad that they now offer validated parking at the garage right across the street as that makes dropping off your artwork and especially picking up a finished piece so much more easier.

I'm a professional photographer and I had a client request a sexy yet tasteful boudoir photobook. I looked at several online vendors and they *almost* had what I wanted but I only had 3 weeks to ship before she presented to her partner. My concerns was that I had to trust an online vendor to get it there on time and have the right level of quality for the amount paid. I called a local Oakland press, Memento and talked to Josh the owner. He made me aware of even better options after looking at my photos and graphics and suggested a different type of layout/papertype that was suited for her level of sophistication and book quality. I sent the proof and specs, and within a few days they (thanks Sheryl!) produced a gorgeous leatherette black covered book with high quality matte paper with a slight laminate, perfect. Now the suspense was killing me, what did she think? The answer arrived this morning as I woke up to the clients text: "I got the book! It's beautiful. Thank you Kelly. For making me feel beautiful and helping me create this. I am forever grateful." I'm over the moon that they pulled this off and the client who has high standards loved it. So if you need exquisite quality by folks who know their stuff and an owner that has a great sense of what is needed and style, go to Memento press! Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future. Thank you.

Rodolfo truly is a joy to work with and is so knowledgable about his craft. Couldn't have pictured (love a good pun) working with anyone else for the first framed piece in our son's nursery. While at a community holiday fare, we bought a super cool piece of art from a local vendor of a map of El Cerrito which includes my husband's work site. It's playful, colorful, and full of joy. After utilizing the Yelp app to find a framing company close by, we found Artistic Picture Framing. After meeting the crew in-person, we knew we were in the right hands. We worked with Rodolfo on choosing the right colors for the piece and chatted about becoming parents, the nursery we were building, and the magic we were hoping to encompass and build around from this staple piece. He captured truly what we were looking for at an affordable rate. Looking forward to utilizing this service for future art, so happy with the outcome!
