You can also bring your own accessories and other outfits to change into. The room is set up with different complementary themes for a fun variety. I appreciated the freedom to express myself in front of the camera, boisterously laugh with my friend, and take unlimited shots to ensure we captured the perfect ones. At my pace. Mickey is amazing! I've used her for 3 different photo sessions with my family - two 1st birthday…read moresessions and one big extended family session. She is great to work with bc she's so patient esp with the babies, knowledgeable about getting the best photos and professional. For the 1st birthday sessions, it is very hard to get good photos of your baby during this stage but Mickey had so many tips, was so understanding and patient. I was very impressed with how she didn't give up and gave us so much time in order to get the best photos. For our big extended family session with 22 people (including grandparents and 7 kids ranging from teens to toddlers), she scouted out different locations for us and was so easy to work with. Getting photos for such a big group is definitely not easy but Mickey made it seem so! Most importantly, I love all the photos from all of our sessions we've had. I came at exactly 11am, the time that Stella (she was nice) asked me to come. They sat me down thinking I was there for a wedding shoot and we had a good laugh out of it. The passport photos weren't exactly exceptional. $30 for a set of four, it seemed a little too much price to pay for the quality. Throughout the picture taking I felt like I was rushed, almost seemed like I was at CVS which I tried to avoid that's why I came to the professionals. 2-3 clicks and that was it, didn't even ask if it was OK. The photographer told me I can't smile, although through research, I found on the travel.gov website that you can either have a "neutral facial expression or a natural smile". I'm not sure I'd use these photos for my passport so I'd say this was a total waste. Judging by their wedding shots in their studio that they are good at what they do. But I can't say the same for passport photos.

Going into wedding planning, we thought a "day-of coordinator" meant someone who would step in on the actual wedding day and help things run smoothly. What we experienced with Sydney was something completely different, and so much more meaningful. From the moment we hired her about a month before our wedding, she stepped in with such care, intention, and control over every moving part. It felt like she quietly took the weight of the entire wedding off our shoulders without ever making us feel out of the loop. That last month before the wedding can be overwhelming in a way that's hard to explain unless you've been through it, and Sydney gave us something we didn't even realize we needed so badly, which was peace. Real peace. She created space for us to actually breathe, to be present, and to enjoy being engaged instead of constantly feeling stressed or behind. Her professionalism is on another level. The way she communicates, organizes, anticipates problems before they even exist, and handles every detail with intention is something I'm still in awe of. There was never a moment where I felt unsure or anxious once she was involved. I trusted her completely, and that trust is something every bride hopes for but doesn't always get. On the wedding day itself, I don't even know how to explain what she accomplished. We had 250 guests, no printed schedules or programs, and somehow everything flowed so seamlessly that not a single person was confused about what was happening or where they needed to be. That alone feels impossible, and yet she made it look effortless. Every transition, every moment, every detail was handled so smoothly that my husband and I were genuinely shocked. We kept looking at each other like, "How is one person doing all of this?!" She also went so far beyond what anyone would expect from a coordinator. She stepped in to help both of our moms with their dresses, helped with my dress bustle, ran around tending to our whole bridal party and was just there for anything and everything we needed, even when she absolutely didn't have to be. In those moments, she didn't feel like just a coordinator, she felt like a big sister. Someone who genuinely cared about us and wanted our wedding experience to be perfect. What stood out the most is that she didn't just "do her job." She cared. You can feel when someone is just executing tasks versus when they are fully invested in making your day perfect, and Sydney was completely, wholeheartedly invested. She protected our experience, our time, and our energy in a way that we will never forget. We haven't worked with other coordinators, but I can say this with complete confidence. Sydney is exceptional at what she does. She's the kind of person who sets the standard so high that it's hard to imagine anyone else comparing. I scheduled a session in February for March 2020, but due to COVID the session had to be canceled. I reached out to the owner June in May 2020 and requested a refund since we were moving out of state and she said no. I said okay I understand but COVID was not any of our faults, I would reschedule later when it was safe and make the few hour trip. She said, you have until June or you lose your deposit. I said what? NYC is not even in phase 1 yet at the time and it was almost June 2020. I had to fight to extend my sessions schedule time frame date to July (literally beg for this to be extended through the summer but she would not budge), and the owner did not even want to do that despite governor and mayor mandates. Anyway, I said I would drive 2 hours and make the session happen if it was safe to do so. After several emails, she finally agreed to extending the timeframe to sometime in July, and I said I would reach out in a few weeks once we know what is going on with the pandemic. Now fast forward to mid June, and NYC is still in phase 1. I emailed June Photography and asked her if we could push my session 8 days later (to August 8 or anytime after that, whatever worked for her) because I was pregnant and wanted to safely get my hair treated and be out of the dangerous first trimester I was facing as a high risk pregnant woman. I had my previous son at 33 weeks, so I am worried about pre term labor again. June said there is nothing she can do and refused to work with me to offer an August date, which is just a few days after her unreasonable July timeframe. I explained to her I have a high risk pregnancy and begged her via email to extend her unreasonable July deadline just a few days so I can keep myself and my baby safe, but no she would not. After throughly reviewing the contract, it clearly states that I have two reschedule credits (those which I never used) so she is not abiding by that part of the contract. In addition there is a clause that mentions if an emergency or act of God happens (which HELLO COVID IS a national pandemic emergency/act of God) and if we cannot agree on a date together, I am entitled to my refund back. Two options June both said she WILL NOT DO! She will not let me use my reschedule credits and will not refund despite the emergency. This is really unreasonable and so unfair given what is going on world wide. I wanted to support her business, I wanted to take the photos even if it meant driving two hours away, but she made it so hard for me to work with her. I know this is a stressful time and everyone is overwhelmed but I do not deserve to be treated this way. All I did was ask for a few days beyond the hard deadline she gave me (which she told me to schedule a session by July 31 or lose your money even though NYC was not even in phase 1 at the time and had no timeline as to when phase 1 would even begin) to make my session happen. My main concern is to keep my unborn child and I safe! If COVID was not happening or I was not expecting this would not be an issue, but unfortunately this was handled very very wrong and I plan to contact my bank regarding this transaction and provide all the emails of what happened and the contract as well. Because of this situation, I do not recommend June Photography at all and suggest you look into another for your photo needs if this is how she is going to treat her customers during a pandemic that are high risk. This pandemic surely changed her and impacted her ability to work well with her customers, which is really sad and disappointing.
