Before I had even walked into the salon, I was already impressed with Bloomington's friendly and efficient manner. Michelle reached out to me and we set up an appointment for the next day. Michelle's pricing and timing were spot on, and my hair is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Everyone at Bloomington salon made me feel welcomed and excited about my new hair color(s). They speak VOLUMES. I never leave reviews but people should be cautious going here. I scheduled an appointment online for a women's haircut and just chose first available and picked my time. There were available times about every 30 minutes for the day I selected. I got to my appointment at 2 and was told my hairdresser would be with me in a little bit. About 2 minutes later I was informed that the person scheduled to cut my hair was running behind and I said that's ok I can wait. Then I was told they wouldn't have time to fit me in but another hairdresser could give me a dry cut. I stated that I had never had a dry cut before but I guess that would be ok. I went into the appointment thinking I was going to get a wash, cut and style. I figured that missing out on a wash would be ok. I then proceeded to show the hairdresser 2 pictures. One for the over all hair style, the other for the bang style. She then stated that bangs are a lot of maintenance and I said that's ok because my husband has been wanting to me to get bangs. She then tried to talk me into doing curtain bangs but I just said I would like to do it like the picture. She then proceeded to cut my hair which seemed to start off ok. She cut a few layers and then stated that I would have to style it for it to look like the picture. She then went to cut my bangs and after cutting them some they were still pretty long in my eyes so I asked if she could cut them a little more, since the bangs in the photos were a bit shorter. When she first cut them I thought "these could look cute." She then finished up the layers and then proceeded to "texture" my bangs. Which I would say turned into pretty much adding layers to my bangs. When she was done I was trying to push my bangs down to get the full picture and she stated that once I got home and styled it and tamed them it would look better. At this point I realized that she wasn't going to be styling my hair at all. I proceeded to pay. Then by the time I got to my car and looked in the mirror I couldn't believe they let me walk out of a salon looking this way. I had no face framing layers like i specifically asked for. But the worst crime was how my bangs had been cut. They are not straight, whatsoever. In fact, they aren't even straight lines that are crooked. The lines are seriously like a kid cutting their own hair. Very unprofessional. Some sections are thinner than others they are not even 10% close to what the picture looks like that I showed. My husband did call and we were given a refund, but the owner was standoffish at first, defending the haircut and completely defending the stylist, explaining that she has a bunch of regulars and does a "good job" to which my husband replied that sometimes anyone can make a mistake and it just so happens that this amazing stylist made a big one.. The owner then implied that the real issue was that we didn't check our voicemail (who does last minute?) because they left one explaining that they can reschedule, but failed to mention this when I got inside. The experience with the owner, the stylist and the haircut was a complete nightmare. The damage to my hair has already been done. I literally feel like I have to wait a month or two for it to be fixable, and that's something no one should ever feel after paying good money and spending time away from home to try and get a cute haircut. I feel as if I was I unimportant as a new client and was rushed in and out because of bad scheduling. I will never go here again, and I passionately beg you to find another salon if you don't want to risk an experience like mine.

Had an appointment scheduled with Christy right before I was leaving town for a week or so. All the stylists were so nice and friendly, I felt very welcomed. It's always a little weird trying to tell someone cutting your hair for the first time exactly how you like it cut and what you want it to look like. Christy worked with me to fix what needed to be fixed and accomplish the look I wanted. After styling my hair a week later i realized it was a little uneven and didn't look exactly how I wanted. I sent a message over the weekend asking if it could be fixed and received a message from Christy first thing Monday morning telling me she would be more than happy to sit me back down and fix my hair. I came back in and was still greeted with the same friendless from her and the other stylists. She also didn't charge me which was a nice bonus. Overall very pleased with this place

While in…read moreAustin over the holidays, every salon I went in to see if they could drastically change my color said it was going to be a lengthy process over 2days plus the cost was redonkulous (More than I was certainly willing to pay). Thinking that I would just have to settle on just a root covering & cut, I started calling around when we got back to Lubbock. FIRST, the receptionist was beyond sweet! She listened intensely on my desires & passed the info along immediately. She told me to send her the current pictures of my hair now & also what I was wanting. She told me to go through their FB page & she would forward to one of the gals & see if they could help me. So lucky for me, she sent Molly my pics & she texted me immediately to clarify what I was wanting & gave me a reasonable quote on the whole process. It turns out, she said is WAS doable to switch my color (without selling my kidney). I'm sure all the ladies are good, but.....Molly is my new bbf! She pepped my hair up for sure & gave me her tips on caring for my color to ensure it will stay a bit longer. AMAZING experience!!

It was my first time ever at a blow dry salon and first time ever there. And trust me, I won't be going back. I wasn't going to review this place but the more I sit and think about it the more I'm upset. I have 22 inch hand tied extensions, 2 rows. If the stylist couldn't handle it then they should've told me then and there and I wouldn't have been upset. But first red flag was when there was no capes, the "cape" is a tiny towel around your neck. I'm a licensed stylist and I know for a fact that it's against TDLR regulations to not have a cape in a salon. Second red flag was when we went to the bowl to shampoo, and they washed my hair once with shampoo, and my hair was 8 days of not washing, and I know it's shampoo twice and conditioner once. Well, they didn't even "wash" my hair. I still have dirty hair on the bottom and between my extensions. Then the conditioner was what really got me. With extensions, you can't condition your whole entire head. It is the mid shaft- down on extensions and you can use the excess on the very top of your head, but never all of it. Well they did my whole head, and then rinsed 20% of it off. I have conditioner stuck and dried to the sides of my head and the back. Then we go sit down, and again, red flag when they don't stand behind you in front of the mirror. A true stylist knows to stand behind their client and face them at the mirror. Never away. Then instead of putting product on and then brushing, they just start brushing away. Didn't even part my bangs or anything. And if you have bangs, they are first. Never last. Then they put product on, didn't finish brushing my hair, and they section my hair and start blow drying. It was nerve wracking because extensions are EXPENSIVE. I COULD SMELL MY HAIR BURNING. an hour and a half later my hair isn't fully dry, there is conditioner stuck to my face and neck, and my hair looks horrible. Then I got to pay, and I knew they knew they messed up. I didn't get the chance to fully go into my hair because I had a drs appt I was about late for. So I called the salon, asked for the manager and explained what had happened and they want me to come back to redo it. I'm sorry, but if you were to leave that way, would you really want to come back? I highly doubt it. And apparently that is the only way to make it right. So if you feel like wasting money on a wash and blow drying that feels like someone who has no idea what they're doing, then yes that's the place for you. After picking up my son I had to rewash my hair, I just wanted to feel good about myself considering I have 3 kids and I'm a stay at home mom who's husband works out of town. So, this is my 100% honest review and I won't be going back. TO ADD: after reading the other reviews it sounds like the stylist who did mine has done theirs. The stylist told me they have been there since November. 5 months is a long time to be blow drying and it seems like you have no idea what you're doing still. I was also told people with extensions will be with "senior stylists" well then why doesn't it explain that on the website? Or block the extension option when only senior stylists are there? Also noticed how the owner has stopped responding to reviews. Money hungry cowards
