If you want to buy fish, or live plants avoid this place…read more Been testing them for over a year now, everything I purchase out of their tanks is diseased and infected including their plants. You want to buy dead or soon to be dead fish, get yours from this cesspool. Most of the staff are rude and entitled and do not fear any consequence for destroying their employers business. When you tell them you want to buy a fish, they hate it, seem bothered by the act of needing to catch a fish, and they will act rude to ensure you never come back as a fishkeeper. Their tanks are disgusting, they never clean the gravel, no wonder their entire rack system is infected and has been continuously for over a year. Save your money.

Bruno can be…read moreleash reactive and Jen has been taking him for walkies without a problem, often with very little notice as we are shift workers. Unfortunately Bruno had a terrible injury a week ago requiring spinal surgery and we were panicked as to how we would help him through his recovery. But Jen was there! Ready and willing to help as much as she could, she has been fantastic checking in with us through Bruno's hospital admissions and has been seeing him daily to help with medications, encouraging food and toilet breaks. She has been amazing in checking in with me with daily updates on her visists to Bruno- enableing us to get back to work knowing that Bruno is in good hands. Not many people you can trust with access you your home and to your most precious fur baby at their most vulnerable time ; Jen is one of those people.

I looked at several school for Bodhi's puppy education and decided to go with the Ottawa Canine…read moreSchool located on St-Laurent Blvd. The Ottawa Canine School has several classes to choose from such as puppy kindergarten, obedience, agility and Canine Good Citizen preparation. I wanted to enroll in puppy kindergarten and was glad to learn that the registration is on going. You can start at any date and will get 5 lessons of 1 hour. On his first day, Bodhi got to meet with Alana & Roxanne, the trainers, and was right at home. We were shown the proper way to have dogs greet and moved to the hall where the training happens. The training hall is large and clean. The classes have a nice flow and are very interactive. You also get to interact with other dogs. There is a small break halfway through the class. Alana is very knowledgable and Roxanne gives your dog the extra attention that they sometime need. The Ottawa Canine School also has a day care including a one just for small dogs on Thursdays. Bodhi loved his experience and since he was already familiar with the settings because of puppy kindergarten, he was immediately comfortable. The only downside that I would like to point out is that you have to reserve/cancel in advance as there is no walk-ins. I would recommend both the classes and the day care and not to hesitate to contact them if you have any questions.

Visited the Ottawa Canine School for their Fun Friday small dog play date. BEYOND disappointed at…read morethe woman who ran the playdate. Extremely uninterested and unfriendly throughout. Not to mention that when my dog tried to PLAY (GASP!) at the PLAY DATE, she wouldn't cease following him around everywhere he went and giving the whole family looks, instead of approaching us with any concerns/letting us explain my dogs noisy and energetic ways. From the moment we walked in we all felt judged and considered leaving early after being told that we couldn't use some agility equipment because we were making my dog jump "too high" (maybe 3/4 of a foot?) while we were just testing out what he would be like. I was highly considering taking Timber there for some agility classes because the facility really is gorgeous, welcoming and well-kept but FAT CHANCE now. I have no doubt that their TRAINING would be fine, but this experience absolutely ruined it for me. Such a terrible waste of my $20.

I was really nervous coming here as I had previously been bringing my furbaby elsewhere for the…read morepast 8 years. My mom had made the appointment and since it's much closer to home, I decided to check it out. Upon entry, it's nice to see that it's a nicely sized store- not too big or too small, just right...and there are two cats that kinda roam free and hang out (aka they nap at the front and chill). I think it was a good indication that it's not a chaotic place since animals can be really sensitive to that kinda thing. When I met the groomer, I explained my crazy and over protective pet parent concerns, and they listened attentively and helped to ease my mind. Gizmo was very excitable but he didn't seem nervous- that also reassured me because I cared more about his experience than my own. The grooming process took between 2.5-3 hours, which I think has been pretty standard in my experience. Gizmo smelled and looked amazing when he was done, freshly groomed puppies are my favourite! The price point isn't bad, either. I was worried it would cost more than my previous spot (PetSmart) but in the end came up about 10-15 dollars less. Amazing! Gizmo seems really happy, so I'm sure we will be back again for his next grooming. Kudos!

Love the parking/location, huge lot and in a plaza where there are many other useful services.
