They are fast, knowledgeable of what they are doing, and have pride in making sure that they get it done correctly and satisfactory according to US passport laws. (They also take photos that meet other countries' and agencies' requirements.) We recently went, and my son's collar was twisted, and she took a moment to make sure I had the opportunity to fix it. When my first kid was still under one, they helped us figure out a way to take his photo at home (dozens of photos on a white blanket), and then they were able to select the one that fit strict criteria, crop it and smooth out the background for us before printing. I would say one thing to be aware of is that they are not always open right when the posted hours claim. I would call first before heading over. The waiting area could be updated a bit, but it is fine.

They sleeved everything nice. Even sold me a loupe. My film was really old, I shouldn't have waited so long to process it, but I did have some keepers. I had a photo of Gus Van Sant directing "Milk" on Castro Street and some photos of 2 dead friends, so those images made me happy. I know my friend's family are gonna want to see these. I had some photos of my friend with no hands rolling joints and that series came out nice and sharp thank goodness. And I bought some b&w film also to shoot more. Life is good and so is this photolab. I use to have two Cibachrome (a process for printing slides) prints done a month. Rob was a master of this process. This paper and the chemicals to produce these truly amazing prints was discontinued almost 20 years ago. Rob now as all the latest papers, metals, and canvasses, you will really be able to see how much better his work is than what comes out of your printer at home. I have read he also works with artist to reproduce their work.
