Great selection of equipment, reasonable pricing for rentals. The customer service from Dan was excellent -- I had a hundred questions, and he patiently answered all of them, both on the phone and in person. When I changed my order, he was really prompt with updated quotes. I went in to make sure my gear could interface with theirs, and he helped me set everything up and run some tests. Most of the Yelp reviews mention the rental equipment that can be rented. What they don't really advertise is the stellar production service Studio B also offers, especially with knowing all the technical requirements live streaming over YouTube Live or Facebook Live (i.e. 1080p vs 720p on Facebook Live). It was my first attempt at trying to do so, so having someone with previous experience and the right equipment was invaluable. Dan Williams put together a reasonable proposal with a 2-camera person team, showed up for an on-site survey the week before the event to figure out what lenses and camera angles to use, and came with his team to shoot on the holiday evening. He also helped put titles on each of the speakers and adding transition slides between each part of event. In retrospect, we learned: 1) use AT&T/Verizon LTE data wireless service instead of trying to install Comcast/AT&T Uverse (Uverse is insufficent for upload bandwidth, and Comcast is problematic if you have no cabling in the complex) along with a Pepllink router to avoid streaming over WiFi. 2) Rely on Studio B for the camera shooting (make sure to give them 1920x1080 JPG slides for any transition slides) 3) bring a USB v3.0 1TB hard drive so you can get the footage after the event. 4) Just start your live streaming on the time of the event instead of 15 minutes before hand. 5) If you are streaming any type of copyrighted music, Facebook will flag and actually detect what songs you are playing. I am a videographer who needed a video camera to shoot a music video for my wife Angel Sessions, a Gospel Recording Artist. I looked all over the Internet for companies who rent cameras and other video equipment until I found Studio B. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at their studio. Immediately I was greeted by the staff that made a very good first impression about the way they do business. The camera I rented I was not familiar with. Their staff took the time and was patient as they showed me all of the basics. They also told me that if I had any questions I could contact them while we were shooting on location. The video shoot was successful and we were very pleased with the outcome of our final product. It is not very often that people receive the kind of customer service that I experienced with the staff at Studio B. In the future I will always go to this business for all of my video rental needs. In addition I was impressed with the diversity in what they are doing other than renting video equipment. They are involved in shooting video productions for major companies and individuals including producing quality commercials. Dan really took care of us and helped us out massively by delivering the equipment to our location in Berkeley. We rented the Zeiss Super Speeds, Arri SkyPanel, Joker 800's, Dana Dolly, Tripod and a bunch of grip stuff ...all the equipment was in perfect condition and nothing had to be jimmy rigged for it to work well. These guys are awesome. Rented a Scarlet for the weekend plus a day and due to some technical challenges(a minor car crash) were forced to end our shoot early. Dan was kind enough to take one day off our rental even though we signed for 2 days. I would highly recommend them.
