We have purchased many items @ LG (Bell location)for years. We traded up a band (previously…read morepurchased @ LG) on an anniversary ring 5/2014. We looked at several rings and were getting ready to make our decision, when my husband and I were shown a beautiful "estate" ring. We did not pick it out, it was brought over to us at the display case we were sitting at. I fell in love. We purchased it and not sure how much time past, but I lost a diamond. We had it repaired by LG at a price, as it was not covered since it was an estate piece and estate pieces are not covered (we weren't aware of that) Our ring was basically worthless the moment we purchased the ring. I lost another diamond and went back to LG to see if we could trade it in and was told that we give us a minimal money towards it, as they would have to replace the diamond (Really?!) . We were not happy with that, especially since we have been a repeat customer and have spent thousands at this LG location. I was told that diamonds and gold depreciate like a brand new car. I left with my ring. I would have to pay to get the diamond replaced a 2nd time. I decided to take it to another jeweler that charged 1/2 the price as LG to replace the diamond, diamond was replaced. A few months later I lost another diamond and took it to a jeweler that specializes in "floating diamond settings". We were told that floating diamond settings are no longer made, not many jewelers know how to fix them as the settings are complicated and since they are very delicate and diamonds are lost often and they don't really sell those type of settings any longer. Floating settings are also costly to repair as the diamonds sit on top of each other. If you lose a diamond you have to replace immediately, not wear it as other diamonds will start to fall out without the missing diamond to hold the other diamonds in place. I had the diamond replaced for the 3rd time and of course within weeks lost another diamond. This ring has cost me over 1k plus to fix over and over. I rarely wore the ring since purchasing because I was constantly losing diamonds, take it to get it repaired, wait weeks for the repair, get it back and then lose another diamond. I put it in a drawer for years. On 8/15/25 (Yes, it's been10 years, but I have had not worn the ring and have been torn as to what to do with it). Do I keep replacing diamonds, keep in a drawer or sell. I decided to go back to LG to see if they would just purchase the ring back from me. I was told that they would not as the "estate" ring was not available for trade up or buy back. I feel that the ring was flawed from the start and was sold to me knowing this in order to get rid of it. They made their money and I purchased a ring that I could never really wear and cost me so much more to fix. I asked the salesmen if he could recommend another jeweler that would possibly purchase the ring and he said "drive around to jewelers and ask". He was not very welcoming from the moment I walked in and would not even offer any suggestions as what to do. London Gold is NOT the best!! I was a repeat customer who spent thousands of dollars there. Customers are not valued and I would not recommend them to anyone, ever!
