I have been to the Atlanta location twice to see Morgan and I was so pleased both times. My Mom is a Salon owner and has been doing hair for 35 years. I know good hair and good service! My only complaint is that they don't do olaplex treatment and don't have it for sale.. b/c I would buy it ! I really need it b/c I look best blonde blonde and I have super thick coarse hair. Sad that I won't be able to get my hair done here before V-day bc they are relocating the atl location but I will definitely be back and hopefully one day will be trying out the custom extensions

It pains me to leave a negative review. However, I do not have an alternative as I provided the business an opportunity to take corrective action and they failed. I had an appointment on 2/8 for highlights and haircut. I was a patron for approximately 2 1/2 years.I was scheduled with a new stylist. I asked if she had my color on file and showed an image of what I was looking for in a cut. I requested about 6" of the length cut, long layers and to frame my face. It took about 3 hours to complete the color and cut. I had to leave before my hair was dried, so perhaps the stylist would have noticed how poor my cut was if she could have viewed it after drying. It looks like I cut my own hair choppy, and uneven. There are no layers, but it's not all one length either. The color on my roots look brassy and reddish in color, this what not my usual color. I had to go out of town and I debated on going back or going somewhere else when I returned. Because I had good experiences in the past I decided to go back. That appointment was today, 2/20. I took off work early to be there. I arrived 10 minutes early. The receptionist asked me to take a seat and the stylist would be with me soon. At about 5 minutes to my appointment I was again told the stylist was finishing up and would be with me soon. The stylist then came to the counter to check out a customer. She checked out the customer , she did not acknowledge my presence and then went to the back again. I could see she was working on another customer. I continued to wait for another 20 minutes. She was still working with another customer. At this point I felt as though I was not being valued or respected as a customer. I decided to leave, very disappointed. Mostly because I was so excited about the prospect of fixing this mess I am living with. My hair looks so bad I don't feel comfortable walking out my door. I will have to live with it until I can find a new salon. The salon just sent a text apologizing and offered a refund. As I appreciate the apology for what they are calling a "mixup". A refund doesn't solve my problem. I did not want a refund. I wanted my hair fixed. I updated to 3 stars because the business did make another attempt to rectify the situation,

Jordan was a little late for our appointment today but I think it was worth the wait! We did a shampoo, cut, and style. She was great and my hair feels amazing I love it! I will definitely be booking with her again!!

This is all over blonde highlights for 200.00

My daughter payed over $200.00 for a full head of blonde highlights. Dalton charged her for a full head of highlights yet she was out of the salon in a little over an hour, with darker hair than when she arrived. He gave her a dry cut instead of a wet cut. Never showed her the back of her hair, because there are no highlights back there. He rushed her appointment, and overcharged and under delivered. I asked for a refund on highlights so I can take her to a salon that will do a proper job. They will not return my calls, and blocked me on their website and social media. They give away services to reality stars, and overcharge regular customers, and that is not okay! I'm going to make sure another young girl does not get taken advantage of again! Shame on you!

Lesson learned. I went to a school here a few times and 75% of the time, I left happy. Last time was bad so I went to a salon know for their blondes. Also known for their extensions. Well. 450 later(two visits) my hair is still yellow and fried more now. My root smudge looks like I did it at home. And since the manager doesn't bother asking why, I'll post on here why I wanted a refund. Too bad I didn't get refunded the first time and just not return. So I was going to hire them for wedding makeup and hair. I was told I should do extensions. This last visit, she did a "trim" with out me asking. After she's done I'm about 3 inches shorter so I can only presume it's to make me have to buy extensions. Too bad so sad. When I asked for the root smudge to be fixed, I was ignored for almost 48 hours leading me to just ask for an over all refund since my hair looks like shit. They could of saved a lot if they just responded. So let's start with my experience there. Not offered anything to drink. I asked for water to take me meds and was brought literally about an inch of water in a glass. I left with semi wet hair. They didn't even wash all the dye out from the root smudge so my under neath hair on my nape of neck is darker than the rest. They didn't even want to know why I wanted a refund and when I picked up the check, it was short. The manager came out and practically threw a bunch of 5s at me and her exact words were "if it's really that big of a deal, here's 30" as she turned storming off. Well yes. It is a big deal. I'm getting married in 2 months while your stylists are squeezing more money out of me than necessary and cutting inches off my head. I see photos of hair all the time getting the results I want in one sitting with a lot more to work off of. Going from brown to blonde in one go but yet you can't get me from blonde to icy blonde in one go? Think it's going to take 3 times and probably even more cut of? LOL no. And her reasoning for withholding the 30 was it was for toner to get out a color in my hair from fanola shampoo. No she said she couldn't do the toner she wanted to on me because of that so why be charged for it? Long story short. Lesson learned. Just because the salon looks super fancy and the stylists act like their holier than thou, and it costs 200 per session- doesn't mean they'll do a good job. Maybe if you treated me the same as you do the people dripping with money who walk through the doors, I wouldn't be writing this review. I guess a 30$ tip wasn't good enough so they had to butcher my hair on the next round not caring about repercussions. Oh and yes, I did get a refund but since you had your head too far up your butt to confront me in person, you forgot to have me sign anything saying I won't tell the world how horrible you are. There's a reason your salon barely has even 3 stars on yelp. Since I already wasted one trip and a crap load of money there, my review stays.

This is an update review! Specifically for the owner Brittany Harrington. I had a few negative experiences at this salon with a different stylist but I am so glad that I gave them a 4th try. After 2 cuts with Rachel that left me with a hair style I didn't ask for and was super unhappy with-- the owners of 285 reached out to me and offered to fix my hair 100% on the house. The fact that they reached out after I left a pretty scathing review meant a lot to me.. they were SUPER nice about it and Brittany was absolutely wonderful to chat with while she did my hair. The color turned out okay, but she cut it exactly how I wanted her to. The salon is gorgeous and family owned and it was very clear that Brittany and her brother take customer service seriously and they want to make their clients as happy as possible. Excellent customer service like this is hard to come by these days and I LOVE that there are business owners like this in augusta. Brittany went above and beyond to make my appointment the best it could be and I left the salon feeling valued as a client.

My massage was great, even though I think it's absurd to pay extra for aromatherapy when that literally sets the tone and vibe for a massage. The masseuse did a wonderful job addressing my problem areas. On to my facial- the esthetician, Raleigh, was friendly. I scheduled the dermaplane facial. She didn't assess my skin before the facial, didn't ask about problem areas, didn't even tell me what she planned to do for my face. I let her know that I was interested the Oxygen facial and wanted her input for what I was trying to achieve for my skin- brightening and even texture, but said I'll let her tell me what my skin needs. Her only response was "this is a dermaplane facial". And that was it. After it started I asked if there was a heated blanket on the bed as it was cold. She checked and said there wasn't. That's it. She continually used a lukewarm, thin rag on my face through out the session. Afterwards, as I was getting up to my robe back on, I noticed Ordinary skin products on the counter. Not sure if this was used on my face but this is a dissapointment that they utilize these cheap products on anyone given how expensive their services are. When I walked out of the room, she showed me to my locker, said thank you and that was all. Nothing telling me about my skin or services as others had done in this very place. Overall this service alone has deterred me from coming back as I can get better services, better product elsewhere. It felt rushed and almost like she was there to do her job only, not to offer the customer experience one expects when coming to the Retreat.
