That's it...just OK. The salon makes an attempt at looking stylish, but the chairs, especially the ones at the shampoo bowls, are extremely uncomfortable (and NO...I am not a little old lady with short, teased, gray hair). The managers definitely need some training. I was there the day management decided to switch up the stylists' stations without properly notifying them, and several stylists, including the woman cutting my hair, were visibly upset when they found out what was going on. Needless to say, the stylist's emotions affected my cut. The LOUD music and the lack of sound-proofing panels make conversing very difficult. Be sure to double-check the pricing before you proceed, or you'll end up paying more than you thought you would be. Don't think I'll go back although Ocala doesn't seem to have much to offer. read more

I tried this place as a high school friend worked here and I loved her IG hair page. But unfortunately, she relocated. I decided to stick with the salon as everyone seemed to be great. I made an appt for a touch up on my balayage and trim. When I got to my appt the hairstylist said she did not feel comfortable doing it. OK whatever at least she was honest. She had the owner come over and do a "consultation". He said yeah no problem he could do it. I reschedule the appointment and stressed to the person that I had a major event coming up and had to have it done by then. We sch the appt. Well, the day before my appt they called to tell me he did not even work at that location on the day I was sch for. So we resch the day BEFORE my event. I begged if they had something sooner as that was cutting it close. but I was reassured it was fine and he was definitely scheduled for that day at this location. Day of the ​appointment comes and an hour before my appt they called and said he couldn't do it today. I told the receptionist I was already resch once because the original hairstylist couldn't do it even though she made the appt. They offered to send me to another location that was an hour and a half away but had to be there in an hour which wasn't even possible. No remorse or even care that they screwed me over. My stylist came back for a week and I saw her there everything was great. Well, I just tried to sch an appt to get another touch up 3 weeks ago. My appointment is tomorrow and they called to CANCEL again due to training conflict. I explained I start school again next week and really needed it done and sch my appt 3 weeks ago. This place is pretty great. For the past forever, I have always been getting my hair cut at these cheap fast-pace hair places (i.e. Great Clips, etc.) and coloring my hair at home. One day I decided to actually look for a good salon in the area, as I was previously convinced that the only good stylists would be in bigger cities, such as Orlando or Tampa, and checked out Yelp. I came across Studio 200: the reviews were positive, and even better it was quite close to where I lived, so I decided to give it a shot. The very next day I went to their salon for a haircut. It was fairly busy, most if not all of the clients being elders and me being 19, but I didn't let that sway me. I was greeted by Joe, the guy that works the front desk, asking if I have been there before and checking me in. As I waited for my stylist, I was offered water or coffee, which was very nice of them. The stylist I was paired with was Kaylee. She took her time with me, asked me everything I wanted, and consistently checked up on me to see if I was alright. I had major split ends I wanted cut out, so she cut out about 4 inches of hair and added texture/layers. I also had my hair washed, blow dried, and straightened. She made sure everything was perfect, and I was very happy with the attention she placed in my hair. During my stay, I mentioned to her that I was meaning on getting a silver ombre on my medium brown hair and had an appointment with another stylist in Orlando in a few months but was looking for something closer. She said she could do the job as she is color specialized and I was convinced: I cancelled my other appointment and scheduled one with her. I came in a couple weeks later. She sat me down, explained all that was going to be done and made sure I was good with it all. I expected that getting me to silver would require a couple of appointments, but she assured me that we could get silver today, so I was excited. I agreed and we began. A lot of stuff happened at this point, including washings, dying my roots darker, applying bleach to the rest, and toning. After about 4 hours, My hair was dark rooted and the rest a neutral blonde. My hair refused to get to a cool blonde and wouldn't turn silver with the toner, which disappointed me a bit to be honest, but Kaylee knew what I was feeling and told me I could come back tomorrow as her boss would be bringing in an actual silver hair dye, rather than relying on toner, to get me silver, and that the next day would be free of charge. I came back the next day, stayed another 3-4 hours, re-bleaching and adding the silver dye, and FINALLY my hair came out a silver beauty. Kaylee really went above and beyond to ensure I loved my hair before I left. She even called me the next day to ask if I still liked it and if I had any questions, again very nice. My whole experience was very pleasent. The people are nice, the vibe is modern, and they know what they're doing. Don't be swayed by the older people that are there too, they can deal with hair of all ages. She got me from long brown hair to a slightly shorter sliver ombre. Yay! read more
