I had yearbook photos at Tulane the next morning so I just needed something to make it look better. I didn't really know what I wanted, but she took the time to talk everything through with me, listened, and made me feel really comfortable. I ended up trusting her to take the lead and she completely delivered. She reshaped everything into a more feminine, balanced look that actually frames my face so much better. I walked out feeling so much more confident and honestly just really happy with my hair again. Nicole is amazing -- you can tell she really cares and knows what she's doing. I'm so glad I found her

I went to Ally Bally and asked for a simple cut and face framing color-something I've asked for many times at other salons and always been happy with the result. Not rocket science. Not only did she give me the absolute worst cut and color of my entire life (very noticeably uneven length and bright yellow streaks near my face while the rest of my hair is light brown), she also made me feel very uncomfortable. She asked me where I'm from originally and then proceeded to say offensive things about my home state. All while joking around very unprofessionally with her coworkers. Please save your money and support another business.

My stylist moved out of town last year right as I was about to go back to my hair extension habit. I waited a while before seeking someone new because that is not something I'm going to trust with just anybody. Also, I've found that many stylists prefer weft extensions/weave, not my favorite. The process of messaging Lilian on Yelp and her response time was seamless, and I was able to come in for a consultation within a few days (I was out of town during initial communication). Lilian discussed the various options and bead extensions seemed like the best for me as well as timing. I couldn't believe I'd be able to get my hair done within a week or so because I was about to go on a long trip. I'm so happy with the entire experience, including getting my hair dyed first. It's such a gorgeous color, a plummy black, the extensions perfectly matched. Lilian is truly an expert, but she makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Getting to know a new stylist can be intimidating and I've had nightmarish experiences in the past where the stylist made me feel like they were doing me a favor by doing my hair. I also must comment on how reasonably-priced everything was. I'm so happy to have found a new hair queen in NOLA!

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Cecil. He was very friendly and informative. The establishment immediately soothed me with it's peaceful aura. I visited for the flotation pod. I was then set up with the float room. He explained the flotation process and set proper expectations. The flotation experience was super relaxing. I was able to meditate the entire time and left feeling like I lost weight. It is a very relaxing experience. They offer many other services, such as massages. I look forward to visiting again to try out their massages. I also look forward to more flotation experiences.

The massage was okay but really does not compare two other places I've been. The reflexology was just flat out painful as his nails were long and sharp at the edges and digging into my foot. My granddaughter said the exact same thing. Most places I go have a little basket in the room where you can leave a tip. As I did not see one in either room I was about to ask about that when the massage practitioner actively and rather pointedly requested a gratuity. I thought this was incredibly tacky but as I had every intensive leaving when I had asked him if he could take my debit card since I had run out of the house with only a small amount of cash. He said he could take it but it was a lot of work because he had to log in and put in my information and wanted me to do venmo. I explained to him that I have been having issues with venmo as my credit union does not allow it. He pushed for the venmo route so I stood there at the front desk trying to fight with the stupid app. I had to use an actual credit card, but then find out that I would be charged a fee for going that route as the venmo account is not listed as a business. I told him I would need to wait until I got home to get it set up with the routing and account number at which point he decided that it was not a problem for him to log in and take my credit card. By that point I was so annoyed that I told him no that I would be home shortly and will take care of it at that point. His behavior was in such poor taste that it ended our afternoon on a rather sour note. Had he not tackedlessly asked for the tip and been willing to take my debit card as I originally offered without wanting me to jump through hoops so that he could get his money faster I would have left a much more generous tip but at that point I was very tempted not to leave one at all but for the fact that the woman who did the facial was lovely. I had a friend who was anxious to hear how we liked it as she was interested in booking an appointment but at this point I truly could not recommend them.

Landed here because of ratings, pictures, and availability. First... very cool location, interior, and hidden bookcase/speakeasy interior. A+. Good guy, offered me a cocktail but I passed (too early in the day). He took his time and was very detailed. I was very pleased with his clipper and straight razor work. You're paying luxury prices for work that doesn't match the standards. Her behavior is beyond unprofessional it's offensive and disrespectful. Using racial slurs casually and showing zero accountability says everything about her character. The way employees are treated is just as bad. There have been serious issues involving threats and withholding pay, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, there are ongoing concerns about whether the people working there are even properly licensed. The environment is chaotic, unprofessional, and full of blurred boundaries. The hiring process feels careless, and the people brought into that space have made it uncomfortable and, at times, unsafe. I personally had an experience that made me question everything about that place. She also runs a foundation called "Sharp Start," where she mainly brings in ethnic minority participants and uses them for promotion on her page while building her own image. At the same time, employees are expected to work without pay, while she takes the credit and financial benefit. It comes across as less about genuine support and more like a way to boost her brand and generate income. There's a reason people don't last there either they're let go for no real reason or they leave because the environment is toxic. Black men and women, and those of Hispanic heritage please be aware and move accordingly. Spend your money somewhere that actually respects you. This is not that place.
