I asked for a cut and curtain bangs, and as a Level 1 Service provider, Savannah was hesitant/nervous to cut my bangs, so she asked Nicholle, a Level 5 provider, to come over and handle the bangs instead! Nicholle showed her how it was done and the bangs came out exactly how I had hoped! I thought this was a thoughtful, professional, and collaborative effort handled well by Savannah. The salon is clean and well kept. In a small strip mall right in Staples Mill with plenty of parking. The owner was quick to respond to my emails and schedule my appointment. At $38, it was one of the lowest priced haircuts I was able to find, with the highest ratings on Yelp. I'll be returning!

When she decided to start growing out her roots she communicated that clearly to her stylist. Unfortunately her stylist decided she knew better (I wish I knew the name but I don't). She arrived to her allotment with all the commotion tools already out and when she asked why, the stylist said that she needed to either get the color treatment, or she would be charged for canceling part of her scheduled services. Keeping in mind that she had not scheduled colouring services, I was incredibly surprised by this kind of reaction. While I have not had a bad experience myself (the reason for 3/5 instead of 2/5) and they color and style hair quickly and well, I won't be returning based on the duplicitous practices. I would recommend this location for color updates on a one visit at a time basis only, not creating a lasting stylist relationship.

Not suitable for people with curly hair. I came in with permanent straight hair that's has my…read morenatural curls from the roots and when requested how much a wash and blowout be since the website said $25+ the lady said $50 because my hair is thick. I honestly don't consider my hair is thick it's just curly from the roots... I didn't have the heart to argue so I accepted it. An older lady washed my hair and then started to just dry my hair with an old blowdryer (barely any heat) then was going to use a straighter to straighten my hair. I was shocked, I never had experienced a salon that would used an iron straightener when requesting a blowout. The lady was not doing a great job and I requested to just pay for the wash and leave if this is not what expected. When I sad I don't want an iron straightening process because it oils my hair quick I just what a blowout the response was "how fast?". Eventually someone else started to air dry my hair without user a roller brush and just basically applying heat. I was so disappointed because I could have done this at home with my own Dyson. Total waste of my time and unprofessional with curly hair roots (not even full hair). I did end up paying $45. The smells of the place was so strong. Such a waste of self care day, I felt I was getting more dissatisfaction with everything.
