Mike is tops for advanced math tutoring, especially in Calculus. Over the last two years in working with him, I have found him to be one of the most intelligent and downright friendly people I know. As a tutor, he has an amazing ability to quickly figure out what needs to be caught up on, and simultaneously helps cram in the important skills needed for TOMORROW's test! He always shows up prepared and doesn't waste time studying and then re-regurgitating the textbook like some other tutors do. He is also very patient when something difficult to grasp is studied. After trying out a few tutors for English, Math, Chemistry, and Physics, grades 7-11, we were repeatedly disappointed. Finally, we found Michael and were very pleasantly surprised at the professionalism, thoroughness, and drive that Michael injected into tutoring our middle grade and high school students who are in competitive academic schools. Michael has tutored our oldest son for a couple of years now, and we intend to continue with Michael for the next few years with another son coming up through middle and high school. Michael was also helpful in motivating our student and explaining that additional work was required (as a third party apart from us parents) which was very helpful. Looking for the perfect tutor, I called Don at Student 911 Tutoring. Don kindly arranged a fast appointment and his assurance they would help helped me feel better. From Don's confidence in their tutoring, I immediately knew I was headed back track. I am an excellent student, and every grade counts, but Quantitative reasoning is not my study. Rapidly his class became my nightmare as I could not pull great grades in my class even with hours of study, sessions, and lectures. The week before tutoring, my homework was a 56% and the last test a 60%. After one session with Michael I made a 90% on the homework. At first I wasn't interested in a tutor, but after Mike showed me the derivations of many of my misunderstood concepts in math, such as the derivation of the natural system of radians, my ability to apply those concepts, and consequently my ability to solve math problems, improved dramatically in a short time.
