(I'm only reviewing the bridge as Ken has done a great job of reviewing the park.). The footbridge was first built in 1908 but has been replaced multiple times due to flooding. There was no bridge between the flood of 1913 and the rebuild in 1989. Todays bridge is suspended by steel cables and the walk way and rails are wood. You can see remarkable, majestic views of Deer Creek from the bridge. I have to admit, the bridge is a little wobbly when crossing by foot, especially if others are crossing. The bridge is part of the Riley-City Trail, one of many trails in Delphi. To access the bridge, park in Riley Park and there is a tree covered wood walkway to the bridge. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

There is also a gazebo and a large shelter/pavilion and several landscaped gardens. The park lies on the south side of Deer Creek and has an elevated boardwalk that leads to a footbridge that crosses over. There is plenty of parking and quite a bit of shade along the walking trail. Across the highway is the Riley Park Annex. Although it practically doubles the park size, it is less developed. It does have a small playground (swings) and a skate park, but most of the area is set aside for soccer fields. There isn't a water feature here, so on days like my visit, the park was pretty empty due to the heat/humidity. And be careful pulling out onto the highway since visibility is not the greatest for seeing oncoming traffic if you are crossing the road. Review #2789

Located along the Wabash River, the park is on the north side of the State\Columbia Street Bridge. As you cross the river into West Lafayette, head north at the roundabout onto Tapawingo Dr and head to the north end of the park. Turn right onto Brown and you will find free pull-in parking there. The park is lush and green with mature trees lining the paved pathways through the park. The northwest corner has a decent playground for the kids to enjoy. To the east is a small shelter. South of the playground is an elevated art installation that appears to be the bones of a ship called "Tapawingo Travelogue" by artist Eric Nordgulen (2015). Continuing south, there is a building that hosts outdoor ice skating in the cold months. I am not sure if there is any activity there during the summer, but it seems they out to let kids roller skate during the warmer months to make full use of the space. At the south end of the park is Margerum Fountain, named after a former mayor. The fountain is one with the high spray in the center and a small circle of spray surrounding it. Another benefit of the location is that the John T Myers footbridge is directly east of the fountain. If you haven't crossed the bridge, it has the makings of a great festival area and offers even better views of the river. (If you go, check out the large Millenium Sundial by David Aho - 1999). This is a lovely park in Westfield which doesn't require you to drive too far or make many advance…read morepreps. Right beside a school and close to downtown it's a perfect stop on a busy day of work. There's a path with about 1 mile of walk and the park is dotted with shelters, kids play area, bike park, bike trail and seating just to sit and enjoy the nature. The fall foliage is pretty nice and I saw children of all ages and abilities enjoying the park. I had a great time and loved the peace and no chaos. Quick break and relaxing time.

White River State Park is one of the most popular parks in the city, and for good reason! The…read morenickname for it is Indy's backyard. With riverfront and canal-front trails, a pedestrian bridge to the zoo, proximity to the city, and the amphitheater, so much goes on down here. Over the years, my favorite special events have been the food truck festival and the solar eclipse festival. The area is kept to be pedestrian friendly, with parking being underground to the park and wide walking and biking lanes. During warmer weather, I often see a hotdog vendor for a nice and easy lunch. There's lots of sculptures around the park too, which helps to keep things scenic. There's also a huge lawn space for running around.

Plenty of smaller festivals and walks/runs are held at this park, and it truly seems like the perfect spot for them. My favorite festival that happens here is the Taste of Indy, which takes place in the summer and the MS Walk is always a well organized event here. I also really enjoy walking the paths behind the zoo, especially in the spring when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom. Absolutely gorgeous! Ps - As beautiful as it is, be sure to stay alert while on the pathways!

I had tried every version I could buy on Amazon and none of them fit. My 9 year old got me into skateboard a few years back. I recently got some decks second hand and needed trucks, bearings, and hardware too. They had everything I needed in stock for almost the same price as online. I was super stoked to get everything same day in their skate shop and also happy I found a helmet that actually fit! Got to take a look inside the park, very excited to try it out with my kids. My work place had rented Skateland out like they do every year so that the scholars can go skating…read more This year was different due to there being water coming on the skate floor so they had to put cones in that area so no one would go over there and fall. The customer service was great. Despite us having a very large group. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and it was delicious. I had got an icee and a slice of pizza. The atmosphere of the facility was okay especially since they kept us entertained.
