Nice clean community park. Baseball diamond, picnic areas, gazebo, playground all nestled in the trees.

Legacy Courts - Outside

Legacy Courts

Came here for a basketball tournament. The parking lot out front makes for easy access. They have 4…read morecourts distinguished by color. Cash or card accepted for admission. Cost was $10 per adult. They do offer concessions and tables for eating. There are also games for cash play located in the eating/concession area. The courts look well maintained and score board are on both sides being large enough for spectators to easily see. Basic metal bleachers are available for seating while watching the game. Nothing very special about this venue, but does seem more updated and not ran down.

I will say that my son did receive a lot of playing time - which is what he needed the most. He…read moreplayed 2-3 games per weekend and was allotted a great percentage of playing time per game. The referees were knowledgeable and professional. The facility was well maintained. There was plenty of parking. But aside from that, the Legacy Courts is a shining example of the abuse of capitalism that preys on parents who want to please their children. The cost to join the league is more than most travel team fees. Additionally, each spectator is charged $10 to enter the facilities! Instruction was inconsistent at best. Practice took place one a week, if at all. At the beginning of the season, my son's team name and coach changed several times; he was 1/4 of the way through the season before he received a uniform. The schedule was horrendous! Saturday game times were not provided until Friday every week. Furthermore, it was not unusual for me to verify the game times with the coach on Friday afternoon, only to have them change before Saturday morning. Never before have I had a child in a sport and been unable to provide grandparents with a schedule of game times for the entire season. I am grateful that the facility is nearby, but but for the ability to plan my summer I'd almost rather drive to a place like Grand Park. At least for the inconvenience of driving there, I know I would have a schedule in advance so I could plan my weekend accordingly, and am rarely charged an entrance fee

Great resource for students. Not for staff…read more Staff can pay for memberships to the CoRec, but I no longer recommend it for staff. In the fall of 2025, something changed. The corec used to have a family locker room. The name of the family locker room has been changed. It is a small change, but indicative of the overall policies changing. In addition, the pool hours changed to be completely unusable for families. I used to give my son swim lessons at the co-rec, pools, but now, he cannot go because the pools are open at such weird times. Moreover, the pool workers are no longer friendly to families. When my son was 4, they let me take him in the hot tub for up to 5 minutes. It was a nice treat for my son after he did swim lessons. At 5 years old, they said he could stay for up to 15 minutes. I never let him go above 8 or 9 minutes out of caution. I was always with him. The last time I went to the co-rec, my son was 5 this fall, we got in the hot tub like normal. We were told to leave the hot tub because kids under 15 are not allowed. I pointed to THEIR SIGN hanging up that says 5 and up. They said, "I'm sorry that policy is changing. We are no longer allowing kids in the hot tubs." I said that we would stop going in the hot tub out when the sign and the website changed. Then I had 10 lifeguards escort us out of the pool area. My son was not loud or splashing or rambunctious in the hot tub. He was chilling and calm. Yet they insisted the new policy was no children at all. Shortly thereafter, they changed the pool schedule so families cannot use any of the pools. By changing the pool schedule to be unfriendly to families, they also make it significantly harder for students to use it as well. I stopped paying for the corec and take my son elsewhere to swim--places that are family friendly.
