In mid-2023, we hired JMK Construction (the contractor) to perform structural repairs, painting,…read morebalcony waterproofing, and railing replacement. The balconies were waterproofed but not leveled as requested by the Board of Directors, and when it rains, large puddles of water accumulate throughout the whole balcony floor. When the board of directors brought this to the attention of JMK Construction, they said leveling the floor of the balconies was not included in the over $16,000 paid. New railings did not have proper screw holes made for cone head shaped screws. Half of railings boots do not fit. In December 2024, the railings failed inspection. At the end of March 2025 the Board informed Lanyon Heinemann, the responsible party at JMK Construction that if by May 1st the issues with the railings were not resolved, complaints would be filed against the licenses of JMK Construction and Construction Integrated Services, and that the board of directors would seek legal action against JMK Construction, who holds the signed contract with the board of directors. As of May 8th, 2025, well over a month after, the railings situation has not been resolved. The board contacted the City of Miami building department on 5/5/25 and was informed that the pending revisions have been approved since 4/17/25 and that a payment is due from the contractor and that the City of Miami building department notified the contractor via e-mail. More days have passed, and no one from JMK construction has checked on this issue, after so many complaints about the extreme delay of this job. The owners and board of directors of The Blue Condominium Association feel defrauded, abused, and ignored mainly by JMK Construction who holds the signed contract with the building for all the repairs, and also by Construction Integrated Services, a company with horrible reputation, who has repeatedly lied to and ignored messages from the board of directors.

They then used this as a way to enter the other unit and promptly installed plumbing pipes to attach to the above unit without permission and WITHOUT PERMITS. The building is now under a unsafe structure, the poor victim below, now has more plumbing installed above them with more risks for leaks and unsafe structure. Avoid this contractor at all costs.

They installed curtains, drying machines and walking areas to keep work site in order protecting my home. DGC even helped me provide all pictures and processed everything for the insurance company. I did little to nothing. All matters were handled and work was completed with permits and payments were handled efficiently through my insurance company. I was not going to write a review, however I owe it to everyone to be honest about our experience so you all can make an informed decision. We hired Al for a pretty extensive job, remodling our newly bought home. At first we walked away from his offer because of the many bad reviews we read. He then offered a very affordable price range. We accepted. He has since finished the job and here are the top 12 issues we have with the job (many more problems not stated). 1. Many nails were left in the floor after he put te vinyl down. The floors and floorboards were put down (poor quality), but what uspset me and mh roomate is that she got a nail stuck in her foot because Al's team was so negligent. 2. The closet racks have begun to fall down as we put clothes on them. He took down the racks to paint, but did not reinforce them. This is VERY dangerous. 3. The electical work was very bad. We have lights that dont work properly. 4. Al's team did not install what they said they would. We still had our bathroom sink and lights not installed. The kitchen formica was not installed. So much was left undone. 5. The paint job was HORRIBLE. Oh my goodness. I was shocked at the paint that was everywhere (on our sliding glass door, on our new floors, on counters)... everywhere! They even painted over our new switches. Not only that, but the actual paint job was mindblowing. His team does not have the ability to paint in a straight line. Every time we asked for touch up, it became worse. 6. Sawdust was everywhere because they cut the floorboards in the rooms. Its been over a week and we are still breathing the sawdust. My roomate wakes up every morning witth a swollen face from allergies from sawdust (after sweeping 4x a day, mopping 2x a day, its still there). 7. We were shocked at how dirty the house was. Not just the sawdust, which they attempted to wipe down... but the team used our restrooms and we would find pee on the seats and their personal materials in our house. 8. They broke our blinds. 9. Uneven baseboards. I am in shock. Just look at the pictures. 10. Lack of caulking. We have uneven steps and really shoddy work all around. Caulking could have helped him cover the weaknesses, but he only partially did that when we complained. 11. He promised 2 weeks, he took almost double the time. Every day after 2 weeks he said he would be finished. To his credit, when we mentioned that my roommate was bleeding and then again when the shelves fell, he did offer to come fix things and was very apologetic. The quality of work was so poor that we do not want him to come back. Again, Al is the sweetest man you will meet, but the work is not quality. If you are needing something done at the most economical level and you dont mind poor quality, he may be for you. Also, if you have small projects, he may be for you. This company's employees were totally amicable to work with from start to finish of this huge job. They removed the old tiles and replaced the entire roof and rotting soffit areas in just 2 weeks. When night rain covered new Polyglass, they made sure it was thoroughly dry before proceeding. Each day, they thoroughly cleaned up roofing debris dropped on the lawn. Communication with Green Home Roofing employees was ongoing. Each day, I called them and they immediately responded with answers to my questions. That way, I knew what to expect each day regarding the kind of work to be done. I saw the roofers carry on with the work nonstop, despite the very high July temperatures they had to endure.
