Admittedly, I didn't get a ton of estimates because I was in a bit of a time crunch; however, I felt comfortable in booking Flamingo Painting after meeting Alex in person. Initially, he was a little hard to nail down for an actual appointment and does not come off as super professional over the phone, but in person, I could tell he took pride in his work and was confident in the type of job he could provide. I enjoyed getting to know him more as we progressed further in the project. Super nice guy! This is my second review and second time working with Alex from Flamingo painting. First time was back in Oct. 2017, and I am still just as impressed and pleased. -I contacted Alex for a quote on repainting my condo since we were remodeling. He answered right away when I called, answered my questions and set up a time to come check everything out. I explained to him we had just finished installing new floors and that the baseboards not only needed to be painted but finished (put wood filler on nail holes, sand) and if he did that. He said yes, and was able to asses the entire condo when he came for estimate. -He was able to schedule me for the following week and even called me to see if we wanted him to start a day early, since he finished his previous job ahead of schedule. Him and his team (Christian,Richard and Juan Pablo) showed up all 3 days on time, ready to work and with masks. They were courteous, detailed and really went above and beyond even putting some quarter round on the side of our kitchen cabinet which had a huge gap due to flooring guy. The flooring situation was a nightmare but Alex and his team came and fixed all the sloppy mistakes he made and we couldn't be happier. The condo looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Let's be real. No one wants to or is trying to paint a single wall in their house. NEVER! That would require making a stop at Home Depot, picking out paint, buying it, putting up painters' tape, and gathering all the necessary tools and then you actually have to PAINT. Snoopy knows my hands are shaky and are only good for picking up food or utensils to eat. AHHHH! Talk about a headache! Well a close friend of mine purchased her new home April of last year and I helped her interview several painting companies. It's a lovely feeling when you wake up and just stare at the bedroom wall, you think, I love this wall! I love my house! It makes for a beautiful start of the day. And I still do, weeks after we re-painted our house. It's great that Alex left us a 2 inch thick paint charts, so we get to go over the colors and combinations. He gave us some suggestions and also samples of work he had done. In the end, all rooms came out looking great. The team he sent to do our work was the best. Careful, detailed, responsible, hardworking and courteous, they had great work habit, and every day they made sure to sweep and tidy up the work space and remove any garbage they created before leaving. They were careful not to mess up the carpets and the floor. I really appreciate that. They even helped us moved out a few items we had sitting around but too bulky/heavy to get rid of ourselves. They found new homes for the stuff and we freed up our space, win win all around. My parents (in another city) painted their house shorty after ours, and I can honestly say that ours is a superior job, wish I could send these guys over to them! My advice is that, if you have any extra work, such as mending a hole or extra priming, be sure to have it spelled out in the quote. I'm not saying that they try to cheat, but with all the jobs it can easy to forget what's included and what's not, and how much extra to charge, and having everything marked down clearly is for everybody's benefit. read more

Overall I can say I am very pleased with both the service as well as the work provided by Flamingo Painting. Alex, the owner, did a very thorough job of maintaining communication with me throughout the whole process from beginning to end. He is licensed and insured which was very important to both myself and my husband as we expect a certain caliber of work from these kinds of businesses. Flamingo did not disappoint. We were able to schedule a free estimate within a couple of days from my initial call. Alex provided written documentation with a complete breakdown of all services rendered. I called a total of three business for estimates and Alex's quote was in the middle between the other two. Let me add that one of the companies that provided an estimate didn't even come to the house and simply looked at a picture from google earth. Alex goes out of his way to show up, look at the property, and provide a realistic quote. No surprises for you or him. Smart man. We were able to negotiate a price and went ahead with the project. I provided Alex a $200 deposit to hold the start date. Then provided half of the remaining balance on day one and the rest upon completion of the project. All transactions were recorded on my estimate form and signed as proof of payment. Alex wanted to make sure both my husband and I were happy and did everything possible to make that happen. Overall Alex is a man of dignity and exemplifies true professionalism, care, and passion for his work. This is a rare thing to find in any business nowadays. His workers were also very amicable although a little messy in some areas as they would leave random objects in our yard, but I am more than positive that this is not something that will occur again. Overall I give my highest regards and review to this company and recommend them without hesitation. It's is not often that I give a five star review but I truly believe this company is deserving of it. The before and after shot of my house will tell the whole story! We did pressure cleaning of the roof and house and well as paint. Everything came out great. They not only painted our entire house, but they took care of an extremely difficult prime-job in one of our rooms...the previous owners spray painted the wall and used black paint to outline the ceiling (see photos). Alex took great care in fixing up the walls, removing the chair railing, and applying the paint we chose. Additionally, he removed the popcorn ceiling we had in our hallway and living room. The ceiling is beautifully smooth now, and the ceiling paint pops brightly against the shade of light grey on the walls. Lastly, I decided mid-job that I wanted two chair-rails removed and two ceilings painted...Alex said no problem, and we negotiated a very fair price for all of them. Owner responded within an hour to my Yelp message and was able to come to my house the same day to provide a quote. He showed up promptly at our home. We were told our new home was only painted in primer and would need to be painted with paint when we bought it. He inspected the walls and told us he really did not think it was primer and did not want us to waste $ painting a house that did not need painting. We called the realtor who sold the property and sure enough he was right, it was painted with an all in one primer/ paint and did not need to be painted. We are so thankful for the owners honesty and integrity because he could have easily kept his mouth shut and did the job to make his money. So im writing a review because alex has reminded me a few times to write one. Alex is the guy who runs the show. When I called I thought he was unprofessional not introducing himself and as a business. Like "Hello flamingo painting this is Alex speaking" or "flamingo painting". He was very quick on the phone just asked for my address and when he could come for an estimate and he will see if he could make it. I got him for a estimate 4 days after I called. I called on friday so the weekend was busy. Didn't get him til tuesday. He came and saw the house I told him what I wanted and he gave me an estimate. With a little negotiation I got a decent price. My master bedroom which included the ceiling, master bathroom, second story hall, a full bathroom, and a half bath (half bath ceiling too) for 1100. I wanted to pay him the day he started hut he wanted a deposit then and there. Which I was unsure of and I kind of wanted time to think about it too. Le beau was upset at me as well I ahould have discussed it with him. I was exhausted from work so I just agreed. He wrote a contract right in front of me so there was no fraud of him taking my deposit and never showing up. So I picked my colors from the paint chip swatch thing right away. Now he was busy the next week and asked me to call around wed to see how his week was and when he could paint. So I called we set an appointment for saturday 2 weeks after I made initial call. He said he'd be there 9 or 10 and call when he was 20-30min away. It was about 10 and he still didnt show so I called him and he said he was 20 min away. I would have appreciated a call because I got off work at 8am so I could nap a little before he got there. When he got there him and his team worked fast I would say they finished in about 3 or 4 hours. The paint matched perfect to the swatches. And the lines were clean. They were friendly and was going to clean the mess. I told them no that I will do it because I'm a little neurotic when it comes to cleaning.
