It was frankly the first time I did NOT feel like another faceless copayment. I felt human and like she genuinely cared about the outcome of my health. I have a condition that means I must get my blood checked every 2 weeks to a month to make sure I'm ok. His staff knows me and knows what I usually need every time I come in. Upon my first visit he listened to my concerns and perform the tests I requested to figure out some issues I was having. He agreed and ran the tests to confirm what I thought was wrong and treated me accordingly. I appreciate his willingness yo go that extra mile for me and my husband! I would recommend him to anyone that is interested in taking responsibility for their health care and willing to work at getting healthy! She takes time to listen to my concerns, she is very thorough and she makes sure I understand what is going on. From our first meeting we clicked right away. I like her no nonsense straight the point style. She was quick to say what needed to be done without a filter but in a professional way. For example if refused to do something, she would say well this will happen. So it was a clever technique not to offend but make you re- think your position and ultimately do the right thing or find a alternative solution that you would benefit you. For example she prescribed me some medicine for gout that unfortunately made it worse. My body chemistry didn't agree with it. So I found a natural remedy that got the job done, which turned out to be Cherry juice. She was happy I stayed on top of my health as any means possible. I am forever grateful for help though out the years. On December 2022 my heart sank when told me she was moving to Virginia. Like the rest of her patients in Louisville, she will be really missed. Although my…read moreinitial visit was ok, the follow up from my tests was beyond mishandled, from utterly conflicting information, to having to "schedule a call" just to get basic results read, to having one nurse tell me one result only to be redacted by the NP, to the NP outright telling me I lied. No doubt that I'll have to redo all of my tests at another office, just to receive an informed, truthful result. What a nightmare-level interaction. In addition, only half of the staff was wearing masks inside. I overheard Melissa LaMaster say, "You have to wear a mask and face shield when someone is within 6 feet." When I left, she wasn't wearing any face covering. Funny, because that's in direct violation of current state mandate.
