Proceeded to put me on hold to 3. Finish typing out her work on the computer. I know because she didn't actually put me on hold, just threw the phone down and I heard all the typing. Then after 6+ minutes, she picked up the phone and hung it up... So I call back and had to give her all the information I just told her minutes before. " I am calling to reschedule my appt" her: "What is your name?" I give her my name... and then she says " ok, you're all set." Ma'am. We didn't reschedule anything yet. Pay attention to the customer calling on the phone and put your work to the side for a second. This happened every time I called, so then they gave the option of texting the office. Great! But they don't answer the text for days. You have to send multiple texts. Their ortho work is good but that front office staff needs customer service training. It's really bad.

It was my first time there and mored than likely I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Dr. Harmon was amazing but should seek staff that actually wants to work. When I go to my regular dentist they run my insurance while I was there and had a price list of my services by the end of my appointment. It took over a month just to get the consultation.

If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. Initial encounter was ok, until when I went to get my…read morelast set of trays for my Invisalign and was told my treatment was over. You can imagine the surprise. it felt like a bad dream. When I started the process, pictures were taken each visit and was told I was getting 23 trays. I went for my 11 to 15th tray in June,m was supposed to wear each set for 2 weeks, but it took time because sometimes I would forget to put them back right away. No one had told me that if I did not complete treatment within 23 months, I would have to start over. Because each tray gets tighter as you go, I thought all I had to do was to go get my last set the next time I go there, since the treatment was already paid for. When I finally made an appointment and arrived this February, I was told my treatment had expired. This is something no one explained to me and 8k was down the drain. I asked them that, why did no one call nor text me to let me know that my treatment was about to expire? They said it was not their responsibility. They were rude, nonchalant, no empathy and didn't care because they had already been paid. I was so upset and disappointed. They think this is over, but I am willing to take this as far as I can. They are scammers as far as I am concerned and I would advise anyone to save their money and look for another practice. They basically told me that if I wanted to continue, I would have to extend time and pay more. Someone is going to pay quite alright, but it won't be me.

I discovered Children's Choice Pediatric Dentist last year when I was on a search for Black-owned…read moredental offices in PG County. My daughter has attended Children's Choice a total of 3 times. Each time, it has been a pretty pleasant experience. We spent no longer than 3-5 minutes waiting to be taken back, if that, and my daughter never left with any tears. The dental hygienists were patient and understanding and met my daughter where she was at. She did not get any x-rays done her first time because she was afraid but the next time around, she was very brave and got the job done :). I like how bright and open the physical space is. I wish there was some kind of separation between the chairs, however, to give a little more privacy. It's probably not possible given the space, but it was a thought I had. I also love that the kiddos get a token and a special treat at the end of the visit... she looked forward to that the most. The only reason why I deducted a star is because one of the assistants at the front told me that they did accept my dental insurance when I spoke to her on the phone. I gave my new card at the next appointment (previously we were using medical insurance) but they still billed the old card I had on file. It turns out, they did not accept my insurance so they billed the old card I had on file (my medical insurance). Although it wasn't an expensive co-pay, I could have saved money by visiting a dental office that did in fact accept the insurance that we now had.

Everyone was so courteous, the office is very vibrant with lots of cute colors. The staff made us feel welcomed and thoroughly explained appropriate care for my baby's oral hygiene. She only has a few teeth but they definitely explained a lot for the short and long term. They didn't rush us in and out at all. Will definitely be back!
