I have been to Strut several times since my initial visit in 2018 and the consistency of the service and quality of their work never ceases to impress! Helena and her team are the best! I absolutely love the wigs I have purchased from Strut and having the ability to get them refreshed from time to time is incredibly helpful. They always come out looking like new!! I am so appreciative of the entire Strut team and how welcome they make me feel! Thank you!! read more

I went in to purchase a hair topper and when I walked out I felt like a different person. Kelley spent so much time with me trying to figure out which color and topper I liked the best. After an hour I still was alittle unsure so she ordered the two I was deciding on. When I went to pick it up I decided immediately which one to purchase. It looked amazing!!! I couldn't have done it without Kelsey. I highly recommend Strut for your hair needs. They have everything you would ever want to make you look like a model when you walk out. read more

I didn't end up needing to buy anything from here but spoke to the team here and they were so helpful!

Any woman who is struggling with thinning hair for any reason should at least schedule a consultation at Strut. I came here for help with my hair during chemo treatments and I can't tell you what a relief it is to have options and be able to look like myself during this difficult time. Marisol is wonderful and was able to help me regain my confidence and look and feel like myself again. Forget about the wigs your grandmother used to wear. There are so many beautiful real hair options these days, no one knows I'm wearing a hairpiece or a wig.! even my closest friends didn't realize it wasn't my real hair!! thank you so much Marisol. I i'm so glad my oncologist referred me to you and Strut Hair Solutions. read more

I had a lovely experience today at Struts ( San Diego ) ....I was fortunate to get Meghan as the stylist. We had a good time together trying on different wigs. She never made me feel rushed, and was willing to try many different styles. She even at one time, said "this is fun"! I did choose a wig, and Meghan spent quality time trimming it to my specifications... Thanks Meghan for making this experience so enjoyable. g.b. read more

I've been coming to Strut Hair Solutions for years, and I truly can't say enough positive things about this incredible place. Hair loss is such a personal and emotional journey--something that's often hard to talk about--but from the very first time I stepped into Strut, I felt completely seen, heard, and supported. The entire team is so kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely sensitive to the struggles that come with hair loss. They never make it feel clinical or transactional--it's always about care, confidence, and community. A special shoutout to Marisol, who is an absolute magician when it comes to coloring my wigs and toppers. I've brought in several pieces over the years, and she nails it--every single time. She even goes out of her way to check in afterward and make sure I'm 100% happy with the results. That level of care is rare and so appreciated. I also have to say--the new location is stunning! It has the feel of a luxury spa and has become a space where I can relax and feel pampered, which is such a gift. Thanks to the entire Strut team for helping me feel like myself again. You've played such an important role in my journey with alopecia, and I'm beyond grateful. read more

This was my first time at Strut Hair Solutions after going to several in the San Diego area. The staff goes out of their way to make customers feel valued and comfortable with the process. I appreciated Jocelynn's help in finding the perfect topper for me. It matches my natural hair and covers the thin and bald spots perfectly. I highly recommend Strut Hair Solutions to anyone who is looking for great selection and great solution for their hair loss. Sherry G. read more

Horrible horrible customer service on 8/2/25, will never step foot in here ever again, rudeness like you can't believe, went in about 12:00PM on 8/2, did not know the 2 gals names but they need to find jobs that do not involve people. A note to the owner, get new staff and change your rediculous policies. read more

Everyone was so helpful! I went in not sure what my options were for my alopecia and if a wig was the right thing for me. I recently purchased a wig at Struts. I purchase one every year. This time they told me the wig I was purchasing was the same one I always purchased. I took it home--big mistake-because they will not let me return it even though the wig is not at all the same and I can not wear it. They've lost my business and hope they don't get yours. It was $300. That's a lot of money to lose. No stars read more

I have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, fairly mild so far except for the impact of malnourishment to my once-thick healthy hair, which now has bald spots, breakage, and thinning. My shoulder length auburn hair was my best feature and frequently commented on - I was devastated. I did some research and decided that a human hair topper would be the best solution and found a place that had great reviews. I ended up paying $4k (!!!) against my better judgement - it was a LOT of money for me. It is a very long story - the salon closed the day I picked up my hair topper. Sadly, it practically disintegrated within a few months of occasional wear, ending up thinner than my own hair! I was told it was not returnable. I recently begged my husband to let me try again, as my birthday, Mother's Day, and next Christmas present. ;) I ended up at Strut Hair Solutions in Solana Beach. Marisol helped me and found the perfect hair topper for me that did not require any extra work - no trimming or coloring! The other clients in the salon commented repeatedly how natural it looked. And even though I still believe it is a LOT of money, it was half the cost of the first one I bought that disintegrated within a few months. Hopefully the prices will come down as more women find that hair toppers can be a great solution to their partial hair loss. read more

My mom and I had to go in to find a wig solution for her urgently this weekend with chemotherapy commencing this week. Marisol took unbelievable care of my mom and helped her get through what was surely one of the most emotional and anxiety-ridden situations -- leaving feeling empowered and in control of the next step. I cannot thank Marisol and the other amazing team members there who helped us enough - and can't recommend the Strut selection and team knowledge more highly. read more

I recommend Strut hair solutions for any woman going through alopecia. My family member had chemotherapy-induced hair loss. She was able to get an appointment quickly and Marisol was able to find a great solution that we were able to take with us the same day. My search for a wig journey began in 2021 after losing 60% of my hair from having severe covid the end if 2020. Over the last 4 years I have watched hundreds of wig reviews on YouTube, and have purchased 5 wigs. I wasted so much money. The wigs were beautiful, but I felt they looked hideous on me. Not wanting to give up, I made a private appointment at Strut Hair Solutions in Cardiff. I didn't know any of the consultants, so I let them assign one. When I arrived Meghan greeted me and showed me to a very nice room and had me fill out a short questionnaire about my concerns and previous wig experience. There is absolutely no replacement on YouTube for an in person consultation with Meghan. She is patient, kind and very knowledgeable about wigs. She taught me how to use a wig grip and how to properly put on a wig. She also taught me how to properly measure my head for a perfect fit. Strut has a wide selection of wigs that come in a variety of cap construction, colors, lengths, types of hair and styles. Meghan helped me to find hair to try on by explaining cap construction and fibers and how considering these make a difference in the wig wearing process. Meghan had me try on my three picks and we discussed each one. Most importantly she really listened to me when I explained what I wanted. Next, we found a color I really liked in the perfect style. If you are just beginning your wig journey or wish you could make wig buying less apprehensive, I highly recommend making an appointment with Meghan at Strut. read more

Great Service, Employees are very helpful and caring. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Kinda disappointed. I bought a wig that I thought the fiber was "off "and asked if it was new( as it looked like it had been around for awhile or had been worn, I was told it was a new wig. I took the wig to be customized elsewhere and was told the wig had product in it and needed to be refurbished and that the lace front was torn. That not what I expected for the price I paid. read more

What a perfect surprise today! I had an idea to return to Struts to look at Halo extensions. I returned after 3 years of a previous purchase I wanted for a wedding and had such a great experience then! I left a voicemail message and received a return call within minutes by Marisol. She welcomed me to explore and learn about my request, the Halo extensions. Marisol listened to my request and the fun began! She explained in detail after listening to my ideas and took her time with many choices. She had a variety of solutions to any choices I preferred, even if the color needed to be changed. She brought up reasons that made so much sense about each choice, yet always focusing on my responses. I wanted comfort, some volume, a color similar to my color, and the ability to curl or just be straight. In addition, I wanted the hair to look like mine and feel like mine! I am so happy with the recommendations by Marisol, and I can't wait to return and see how she will style this very special Natural Part 18" human hair extension! I highly recommend going into the store and having your own surprise of fun at Struts with the caring, knowledgeable staff! Thank you again, Marisol! Patricia read more

The owner here is so obnoxious and unhelpful. Dropped 2K on hair here that was terrible. She's very pushy. Rude and nosy had a horrible attitude. I shouldn't even bought the hair but it was for special occasions so I was in a rush I do regret it haven't even worn since. They don't even take their time with you and help you style it or try stuff on. They had people sitting right behind me, staring at me while they were doing my hair even though I had a "private" appointment it was also a tacky ghetto and unnecessary., pathetic read more

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2021. I underwent chemotherapy and as a result lost all of my hair. I went to Strut Hair looking at the real wigs but felt at the time it was too expensive. Later I found out my insurance covered up to $1000 in "cranial prosthesis". You need to use this terminology rather than "Wig" in order for insurance to cover it. If I knew what I know now, I would of purchased the real hair wig rather than the multiple synthetic wigs that I purchased. I basically spent the same amount when you add it up. It would of been nice to know this before I started purchasing wigs. Now, in 2024 I am cancer free. My hair has begun growing back much thicker and fuller, but is now in an awkward stage. I remembered that Strut also sold hair pieces, (pony tails, extensions, etc.) I went back and picked up a couple of cute pieces today and remembered I needed to post a review. They are always super helpful in there. It is best to have an appointment, so you get the full treatment. I recommend this place over all the other wig companies that I visited in the last 3 years. read more
