This is what they have on there website as 'OUR GAURANTEE" statement : "When you purchase from Amish Furniture Designed your heirloom piece is guaranteed for as long as you own it. What does the warranty cover? Any defects that may have been missed prior to shipping to your home or throughout reasonable everyday use. We also warranty any warping, splitting or cracking that occurs. Please insure your home is at a reasonable humidity level (30-45%)." Please read my experience that I had with Amish Furniture Designed, which is still unresolved. You can save yourself the trouble. Bought a table from Amish Furniture in Dec/2024 After they delivered it I noticed a 4" crack in the table. I then called Steve to let him know about it. He said there was not a crack on the table when I bought it, and that he had to talk to his partner and delivery guys to see what happened. He did not call me back. I had to call him a few days later. He then proceeded to tell me that his partner knew about the crack so I asked him why his partner did not disclose that to us when we were all talking together and being his partner why didn't he know. That way I could have made an informed decision whether to buy the table or not with a crack in it whether it was on sale or not. Steve said that sometimes his furniture does get cracks in it depending on the moisture in the showroom and that we can easily fix this by putting glue and a clamp underneath it. I didn't buy a new table so I can repair it. He said he would not give my money back but will talk with his service guy and see what he can do. I made another Five calls suffice it to say I don't think they will be doing anything else for me . They are very friendly while trying to sell you something but not very friendly if there is a problem. Now I understand why they were desperate to sell the table. While my husband and I were standing there admiring the table Steve would come up to us with another deal. He said to me if you really like it "I'll sweeten the deal no charge for delivery and no tax if you pay cash".... I would definitely not do business with this company again. So if anyone does buy furniture from this business go through the furniture with a fine tooth comb as there will not be a resolution if something happens.

The worst retail experience I have ever had in my life…read more I went into the store with a sofa in mind and needed to look into the fabric combinations. I went into the fabrics section, and was asked by the gentleman, Can I help you? I let the person know that I was just looking into fabrics. Still looking into the fabrics, 5 minutes later I heard someone shout from across the store. Didn't know what he was saying because he was yelling across the store, but the same gentleman approached me and yelled put the fabrics onto the chair. So I asked him, should I put the ones I touch onto the chair or the one's I lift to look at. He said put anything I lift onto the chair. Thinking that he was going to sanitize them after. Obviously as per picture you are going to need to move the other fabrics aside to see the other fabrics since there are hundreds of them. During this 15-20 minute tenure this man was hovering over the area the entire time. I thought he was just a bored salesperson because I was the one of the few customers in the store. I minded my own business the entire time trying to match the sofa and pillow fabrics. Another 5 minutes pass and he comes back to ask me the same question arrogantly, can i help you, which could of been the third time he asked me. I repeated the same thing, no I am still looking at the fabrics, the same thing I told you before, not sure how difficult that is to understand. He then proceeded to ask me to leave the store and this is private property. Accusing me of infecting the fabrics. Stating he didn't want me to touch the fabrics even though in the beginning he wanted me to put the one's I looked at aside. Funny thing is he took his mask off briefly twice while talking to me. I had to tell him to put it back on. He mentioned briefly his name is Al and is the store owner. Not sure what type of discrimination/harassments this is, possibly racism as I am Chinese Canadian. I have videos as well that I plan to leak as this hatred should not be tolerated in our society. I would like to see Al (the owner) try to deny this since I have a video.

Union Lighting is known to have the most lighting selection in all of Toronto. We came here to get…read moreinspiration and to check out some lighting IRL instead of just me imagining through Pinterest. We wanted some statement lights over our dining table and kitchen counters. I don't understand why there are such low ratings here. I'm sure many people here are just browsing, and I rather have a sales rep give us the space and only come to us if we need help and seriously find a piece we're considering. So I have no issues with how no one really came up to us. There's a lot of lighting, but personally, not enough contemporary/modern lighting to our liking. We did take some pictures of the few we liked that are more contemporary-inspired. However, we don't love it enough to pull the trigger. The prices for the lighting are very high for the ones we looked at, about $1500 (for that round chandelier) to $5600 (Criss Cross silver lighting). We liked the look of the round chandelier the most. To our surprise, our neighbour has the same one. So loses that unique appeal. Also don't know how we would change the light if it burns out? Lighting is all personal preference. This trip nothing really screamed "this is the one" for us. If you're into other design themes like traditional, industrial, mid-century modern etc, you may find there is more to your liking than the modern/contemporary styles here. I still recommend to check it out though for yourself if you're in the market for lighting.

Their website indicated the fittings were compatible; however, once I had placed the order, I discovered they would not work. I contacted them immediately as the items hadn't been shipped yet. They refused to refund the order, even though the items didn't ship for another week and a half after I had ordered them. So, I now have $400 worth of unopened ceiling fan fittings that I can't use. This company is out of touch with their strict no refund policy on some items--no wonder people shop at amazon. I really wanted to support a local company, but I will never shop there again, and I would caution you against doing so, too.

In Ajax, at this plaza with a bunch of box stores, the Winners and HomeSense stores are diagonally across from each other. We dropped by on a Monday, the day after New Year's Day, in the afternoon. It wasn't packed, but there were several shoppers when we dropped by. It was weird seeing Valentine's Day merchandise. I've been so used to seeing Christmas items for months that this transition took some time. I did love the pink and red gnomes. My friend was looking for a side table that she could place next to her bed. There were many to choose from, but the size wasn't what she was looking for. I suggested that she hit a Kitchen Plus Stuff store that might have the size that she's looking for. We browsed around. I liked looking at kitchen gadgets. I found the shiniest can opener and ice cream scoop. They matched in colour! I also enjoyed looking at the snacks, from vegan gummies, to Laura Secord chocolate bars. Yum! My friend found a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle that she liked. She scooped it up without any hesitation. It was cool that I didn't buy a thing and she did. Normally, it's the reverse. Then again, I had done some damage at Winners and she didn't. We were even. The woman at the cashier was nice. The jigsaw puzzle was $5.75 with tax. She paid with cash and change. It was such a throwback to me. I rarely have cash on me, especially during this pandemic. My friend was extremely happy with her purchase. I was happy that she found a good deal. (7)

Every area had been taken over - the home decor, kitchen supplies, and even the pillows and artwork. You have to look carefully at each of the items. Browsing the mugs, there were little chips or poor printing. This theme kind of followed throughout the store where there were little defects on different items throughout the store. I was impressed that they had some officially licensed items that were Disney and Peanuts. They have a ton of checkouts so even though the line is pretty long, it moves decently fast. Also, the line snakes through a bunch of shelves so it isn't too boring when you're moving through.
