When ai moved to FL I ended up getting thrust into the position of my COA President. The community was not in great shape; financially, physically, or in most other matters. To get properly insured I was told we needed new roofs. I was able to get the insurance company to give me 3 years to get 18 roofs replaced. They agreed. I interviewed 6 companies. Recieved estimates from all 6. One stood out. Strong Roofing. How did they stand out? The people. They listened. They asked questions. The answered questions. They understood that I wasn't looking for just new roofs, I was looking to create a relationship. People undervalue the relationships communities and their vendors should have. I don't. Neither did Strong Roofing. Price wasn't the determining factor. They were not the least expensive, nor worry they the most expensive. What they were was a company willing to explain the process, the materials, point out the ROI and the importance they put forward in customer service, service delivery and product. Through creative financial management on our communities part (all legal and transparent) and Strongs flexibility, we were able to work together and complete the 18 roof project in 2 years. When looking for a company to replace your roof, look for a partner with integrity, quality, with a desire to provide great products, and great customer service, if you need a new roof it has to be STRONG! read more

Preface to say that when our metal roof was installed they were timely and efficient (to the tune of $42K+) that is the reason as well as the sincere attempts of Ben to repair that they earned a second star. Note: Less than 3 years later after the original installation some 4 panels on the roof are completely "different/discolored" compared to the rest thus all (myself, Ben and Sunshine Metal Supply rep, Sarasota) agreeing that different panels were used thus not only unsightly but raising the question "why" and compromising the original work performed. After raising the original complaint earlier this year (February '25) and alas getting Ben to come out to inspect he agreed to the discoloration having claimed, "he had never seen that before"! After some tyme he brought it to the attention of Sunshine Metal Supply who supplied the metal roofing and coordinated a representative of theirs to come out with him and at first, after their inspection, they said it was because of a "repair" they had to do after the original install! This determination and explanation was completely false as the roof was done in its entirety upon our home purchase circa 11.2022 at one time! When I disputed that "excuse/dismissal" Ben agreed and we then explored other avenues of repair. Ben went to his boss, Trey, owner of Strong Roofing and explored remedies and "only" offered taking the discolored panels off (4 areas) and replacing them with "like colored" panels from the rear of the house and then putting the discolored panels on the rear of the house replacing the "like" panels now moved to the front and sides where needed (again 4 separate panels/areas). This of course was unacceptable (mind you a 40 year warranty on this roof and discoloration terms included!) as the problem wasn't solved it merely was "moved". When I rejected this solution and Ben followed up with Trey as we were left with only alternatives of legal pursuits Trey's reply was, "good luck with that...". It has been some 8 months in pursuit of the remedy and I was merely invited to log my complaint and disgust on social media, BBB, etc. and/or pursue via legal recourse. All of which, because of the callousness of their non-resolution I surely will, and have now pursued! "Good luck" to us! read more

As a Realtor, I've referred this company before, but my own experience as a homeowner has been very disappointing. Strong Roofing replaced my 13-year-old roof in December after damage from last year's hurricane, and they also installed an attic solar fan. Even though they were more expensive than other companies, I trusted them because I've known the owners for years and believed the higher price would mean better quality and service. My older roof never leaked -- it just had to be replaced because of damage from the storm. When the heavy rains started in July and August, the new roof began leaking around the solar fan they installed. I sent them a video showing exactly where the water was coming from. Chris came out and said it was fixed, but it leaked again during the next storm. So back to call them again, and I specifically asked them to send someone who knows what they're doing. Then Gabriel came, and he was excellent -- professional, respectful, and clearly knew what he was doing. During his inspection, I could see that the previous contractor had left completely loose shingles around the solar fan. Gabriel fixed the problem, and told me he personally guarantees his work. It hasn't rained heavily again since, so I'm hoping the issue is finally resolved. I asked Strong Roofing to pay for and send a mold assessor to evaluate my home and determine if remediation was needed, since the mold test they paid for showed higher mold levels inside (under the leak) than outside. They refused and even told me their contract specifies they're not responsible for damages!!! I was never given or signed a contract. I've repeatedly asked them to send me a copy of any signed agreement, and they've ignored my request -- because they don't have one. I ended up paying $400 out of pocket to hire my own mold assessor to ensure the problem wasn't spreading. On top of that, the roof they installed looks bad in the valleys, and when I brought it up, I was told it's "just cosmetic." I had never seen such a bad looking valley! Jovita at the front desk has always been kind and professional, but the customer service from the owners has become terrible -- no accountability, no follow-through, and no concern for client satisfaction. Be careful. Read their famous contract if they provide you with one!! Paying more should mean better workmanship and service -- not months of stress and uncertainty. read more

Trever of Strong Roofing did an excellent job on our roof. Fast, efficient, great quality. I would give 5 stars but the company that Strong Roofing works with for temporary tarp placement (Westside Diversified) is absolutely terrible and a waste of money. The worker (perhaps owner himself) came out and did a job that we suspected was not of good quality. It was rushed and the tarp did not look all that secure. However, we told ourselves he is the professional. 1.5 weeks later, the tarp blew off our roof. We asked multiple times for a replacement tarp since we were in the middle of hurricane season. They never came by again. Trever of Strong Roofing verbally reassured us that we would be made whole and not be responsible for this terrible tarp job. At the completion of the roof, Trever's verbal reassurance to us was a false promise and we were billed over $6000 for a tarp that only lasted 1.5 weeks. Strong Roofing should honor their words. In addition, they should know not to subject their clients to the terrible tarp job of Westside Diversified. It is public record that the owner of Westside Diversified is a handyman who has consistently treated clients poorly. The company has only been around since March 2025. I doubt it is insured. If I had known this is who Strong Roofing uses, I would never have agreed. Therefore, VERIFY that Strong Roofing DOES NOT USE WESTSIDE DIVERSIFIED for tarp placement or anything else before you commit to Strong Roofing. Also DO NOT TRUST ANY VERBAL REASSURANCES from Strong Roofing. read more

I contacted Strong Roofing and spoke with Ben about a leak in my roof. He quickly made time to come out and access the situation and gave me a fair estimate. Within the week they were out to do the repairs. Gabriel was assigned the task to fix the problem that a previous roofer failed to do. This guy was awesome! His work ethic and attention to detail made me feel I made the right call. He exceeded my expectations. Both Ben and Gabriel explained the process and findings along the way and kept me updated until the job was completed 100%. I backgrounded check the company with sunbiz and Florida lisc portal, I checked to make sure they were in business for a while as a lot of Florida companies change names every 5 years this one does not. They were extremely helpful and helped us with hurricane Ian. Mike went above and beyond with our insurance company. They sell top rated owens corning shingles. They made some changes we needed due to a roof structure issue and it turned out beautiful. read more

When I asked for an invoice for additional charges, they threatened me that they would need to come and 'speak to me personally' instead of providing a breakdown that stated additional charges and what was paid in full (final amount due on original invoice), versus what was still due. After a contentious series of emails, they finally provided the invoice and were immediately paid in full. Completely unprofessional. Final job left openings in roof, patches of grey on my brown roof, unpainted finish, and the entire screened in porch must be reconstructed at additional cost to homeowner. read more

Definitely go up on the roof to verify the repairs were done thoroughly. We had 2 small areas of our roof repaired by 2 of Strong's techs and in both areas they did not completely replace all the damaged shingles. I pointed this out and they then completed the repairs, but without my intervention this would not have occurred. I called Strong Roofing afterwards and spoke to Trey to give him my feedback and let him know that they should have better quality control measures in place as not all people will go up on the roof like I did to review their work. I let him know that everyone's time is valuable and the end customer should not be the one managing the quality control of his roof techs. Overall...He really didn't care and basically told me that I should be lucky that my small job got done at all as they are extremely busy with the all the storm damage.
