Their lack of customer service is about the worst I've ever seen! BE CERTAIN TO AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! We are purchasing a new home, and in the initial inspection some roof issues came up, so we wanted to get a roofer out to see how bad things were. Due to the current "seller's market" going on, our inspection period was very short, so we had to ask to extend our inspection period to accommodate this special roof inspection. We called Wolff on a recommendation from our realtor (who will no longer be recommending them I'm sure) last Monday, and they said they could come out Wednesday for the inspection. Our inspection period had been extended only until the next day- Thursday. On Tuesday afternoon they confirmed our appointment. On Wednesday morning they again confirmed. Then, about 1 1/2 hours before the inspection, they called to state they couldn't do the inspection. The woman who called stated that "they needed two inspectors, as it is a 2 story home" and they didn't have 2 inspectors available at this time for the inspection. It was at this time that she also informed us that the inspection would be $500.00. (We had not been told this upon booking the inspection- but it is what it is.) My husband had the whole conversation on speaker so I could hear it. She then went on to tell him that they could do a "virtual inspection" for $175.00. A VIRTUAL INSPECTION? WTF????? By this time she had already been very rude, very short and very UN-customer friendly to my husband. (It's probably a REALLY good thing that he was dealing with her, because I already would have blown up at her by this point. She went on to say that "they didn't really like going out to this type of inspection, because the people who did them when buying didn't usually use their company to repair the roofs anyway." At this point my husband asked her why they even agreed to the appointment if that was the case, and explained it put us in a very difficult position, since we were now in the 11th hour, and our inspection time was almost up. Her response was, "I just make the appointments. It's not my problem." I then asked her if she really thought the sellers would be likely to give us a credit when we told her that we had had a "virtual inspection" done (which I guess is them looking at the house on Google map view or something???" Again, she said, "I just make the appointments. How do I know what someone is going to do?" WOW! Just wow! Then she went on to ask why we hadn't contacted another company to do an inspection. Why would we, when we had made an appointment with them????? After dealing with this B---CH I understand WHY other customers hadn't used Wolff to do their roof work! A- they probably wouldn't show up to do the work and B- they aren't easy to deal with! This company put us in a real predicament with our escrow. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

The good and the bad:…read more 1. Walter needs to take a customer service skills class. This man has absolutely no clue how to work with or how to deal with customers. He comes off as very bothered to answer basic questions about a proposal. And prepare yourself if you have an issue with their work. They made a mistake during our roof replacement and he was very argumentative, snarky, and defensive when we tried to get a resolution. 2. Keep an eye on your invoice and make sure they prove they used the materials they said they used. I watched his guys load materials up at the end of the job only to find I was being charged for these materials on my final bill. 3. The onsite workers did a great job cleaning up. They picked up multiple times throughout the process and we had no issues with them. My only criticism would be that they have someone onsite who speaks english during the entire process, so you can ask questions as things come up.

To get properly insured I was told we needed new roofs. I was able to get the insurance company to give me 3 years to get 18 roofs replaced. They agreed. I interviewed 6 companies. Recieved estimates from all 6. One stood out. Strong Roofing. How did they stand out? The people. They listened. They asked questions. The answered questions. They understood that I wasn't looking for just new roofs, I was looking to create a relationship. People undervalue the relationships communities and their vendors should have. I don't. Neither did Strong Roofing. Price wasn't the determining factor. They were not the least expensive, nor worry they the most expensive. What they were was a company willing to explain the process, the materials, point out the ROI and the importance they put forward in customer service, service delivery and product. Through creative financial management on our communities part (all legal and transparent) and Strongs flexibility, we were able to work together and complete the 18 roof project in 2 years. Bottom line. When looking for a company to replace your roof, look for a partner with integrity, quality, with a desire to provide great products, and great customer service, if you need a new roof it has to be STRONG!

Preface to say that when our metal roof was installed they were timely and efficient (to the tune…read moreof $42K+) that is the reason as well as the sincere attempts of Ben to repair that they earned a second star. Note: Less than 3 years later after the original installation some 4 panels on the roof are completely "different/discolored" compared to the rest thus all (myself, Ben and Sunshine Metal Supply rep, Sarasota) agreeing that different panels were used thus not only unsightly but raising the question "why" and compromising the original work performed. After raising the original complaint earlier this year (February '25) and alas getting Ben to come out to inspect he agreed to the discoloration having claimed, "he had never seen that before"! After some tyme he brought it to the attention of Sunshine Metal Supply who supplied the metal roofing and coordinated a representative of theirs to come out with him and at first, after their inspection, they said it was because of a "repair" they had to do after the original install! This determination and explanation was completely false as the roof was done in its entirety upon our home purchase circa 11.2022 at one time! When I disputed that "excuse/dismissal" Ben agreed and we then explored other avenues of repair. Ben went to his boss, Trey, owner of Strong Roofing and explored remedies and "only" offered taking the discolored panels off (4 areas) and replacing them with "like colored" panels from the rear of the house and then putting the discolored panels on the rear of the house replacing the "like" panels now moved to the front and sides where needed (again 4 separate panels/areas). This of course was unacceptable (mind you a 40 year warranty on this roof and discoloration terms included!) as the problem wasn't solved it merely was "moved". When I rejected this solution and Ben followed up with Trey as we were left with only alternatives of legal pursuits Trey's reply was, "good luck with that...". It has been some 8 months in pursuit of the remedy and I was merely invited to log my complaint and disgust on social media, BBB, etc. and/or pursue via legal recourse. All of which, because of the callousness of their non-resolution I surely will, and have now pursued! "Good luck" to us!

I would advise that possible future clients proceed with cautions and get a second and third estimate from other companies. I will name another in Armour's review, but there are other companies that values local clients. This is an honest review based on my experience in Sarasota with Armour roofing. They completed my roof in late 2021. They appear to be extremely friendly, as any sales company that adjust to your liking to earn your business. They market their warranties as 5-year workmanship, and 20 years on material. In July 2024, we had a roof leak from where wall meets roof, through flashing and underlayment. Of course, when we called them, they tried to wiesel their way out of it by claiming that warranty was voided because of hurricane Ian, act of God, which happened in September 2022 (almost two years prior to the reported leak). Unfortunately for my family, with a leaky ceiling, we did have the luxury of time to go back and forth with them, so we paid for the repairs needed from their mediocre workmanship. That said, to be fair, they responded quickly after I agreed to pay. Sammy Barone, nice guy, but not nice enough for me to consider this company again. We have to replace roof on our rentals, and I will not be calling them. Poor workmanship will cost you later, as Florida has hurricanes every year, but Armour roofing will use that to get out of their self-assumed responsibilities. Contact other local companies, and have them compete for your business. Alot of roofing companies lock you in under contract, then have a sub-contract (another company) do the work. They pay the sub-contractor less and pocket the difference.
