When my daughter started at Strong, she had just turned 5 and was very much an introvert. I told her to choose a sport in hopes that it will help her be more outgoing. She chose dance. After doing some research, we gave Strong Dance Studio a chance. Let me just say that I couldn't be happier with our decision. From the wonderful ladies at the front desk to the amazing teachers inside the classroom, everyone here is great! The staff is extremely informative and on the rare occasion they don't know the answer to a question, they find out for you. My daughter has progressed not only from a dancing standpoint, but from every aspect as well. She has developed a fierceness in her that I can only credit this studio for. She's made a ton of friends (and by default as have I), and I see so much drive and passion in her. Rachel, who is also the owner, actually teaches classes. This isn't something you see in every studio. She was my daughter's first Ballet teacher and the experience was wonderful. She knows how to work with small children and she knows how to teach them the foundations of Ballet, all while having fun! We will happily continue to enjoy this studio and everyone who comes along with it. read more

Found this place in the Internet as dance studio for little kids, signed up my daughter right away!! The staff is amazing and Rachel the owner teaches combo classes for the little ones as well, did I say, they have Zumba, tap and hip hop for adults too!!!! Love it!!! read more

My daughter joined Strong Studios when they were located in Anaheim (3yrs+ ago). The neighborhood was not the best but the options in the area weren't that great, so we decided to give it a shot. My daughter, who is very shy and is slow to warm, hesitated to go in and did not want to participate. The studio was tiny so the teacher noticed this and immediately came over and started to talk with my daughter. She took her by the hand and said, "come on, I'll do it with you". To my surprise she followed along almost throughout the entire class. I was so grateful to the friendly teacher that made every effort to make my daughter feel welcomed. At the end of the class, I found out that she was the owner, Rachel Strong. She's your not your typical business owner, on almost any given day you'll run into her at the studio teaching or planning some great event, ALWAYS up to something! Even though you can see she's juggling a million things, she stops to say hi and ask how things are going. The studio has now relocated to Cerritos into a nice BIG building that better represents the kind of work that Rachel and her staff do. They are 100% there for the kids. The studio is warm, welcoming and all about building self esteem and confidence in the kids. You won't find pretentious staff or an atmosphere full of competitive "mean girls" ...As for my daughter...she's going on her 4th year at the studio. She can now perform in front of audiences, audition for a panel of judges, competes in very well-established dance competitions (as part of the Strong Studios competition team) and recently made her JV Cheer team at her high school. Without a doubt my daughter is a testament to what Strong Studios promotes; encouragement, confidence, hard work, commitment and above all FUN! My granddaughter has been with Strong dance studio for 2 years. She loved it from her first day. Prof Sarah has been a remarkable influence always encouraging and positive in her approach. Her passion for dance has been cathartic for my girl. Ms Rachel is positive and approachable as are all the instructors. Recently at the Coppelia Recital there was an incident that was disturbing. A mother and father, who were not volunteers, came into the changing room for the participants with their daughters. Their daughters were to perform in the recital. When approached by staff and told the father's presence was uncomfortable, for the other mothers and their children, the mother replied that it was "okay, he has daughters". My granddaughter was in that dressing room thankfully only touching up her makeup. Staff told the father he had to go. The mother became irate and verbally abusive. At one point she grabbed the staff member by the arm and jerked her arm back. Her young daughter begged her to stop stating "Mommy please don't do this again, I just want to dance". The staff told the girl she could dance but dad had to leave. Mom continued to be hostile and aggressive escalating the situation. A mother of one of the senior dancers then told the mother she needed to leave. The mother continued to cause a scene in front of her children and other students but left the location. As a retired police officer I am more than concerned about the safety of these young girls. The father had no business in the dressing room and the mother's attempt at condoning this behavior caused serious concerns. Her aggressive behavior at the staff was more alarming. She seemed to be out of control and endangering not only her own children but the others as well. It clearly was a crime when she grabbed the volunteer by the arm, but her continual harassment is alarming. I fear her own children being subjected to her behavior. I spoke to another young member of the cast who said that the "father" stared at her and made her feel uncomfortable. I am sorry I wasn't working behind the stage but the staff who handled the situation were remarkable. I hope and pray they family gets the emotional support they need. read more

We were originally excited to start our daughter in their ballet classes for toddlers, and we really wanted to like the studio. We even bought all new clothes and shoes from them. We've only been there a couple of months. Just recently we drove there for the regularly scheduled class only to find a paper taped to the door stating class was closed between 7/18-7/24. This is likely due to recent recital rehearsals for their existing students that have been there longer than we have. However in this short time frame, this is the 2nd time class was cancelled that we were not notified ahead of time.... And only found out after getting our daughter dressed and made the drive out there. There appears to be no consideration for other people's time amongst the staff. The first time this happened, I mentioned politely to the staff that I wish I had received an email or even notification from the instructor the week prior that class would be cancelled..... The response I received was that " it was posted on our Facebook page". We really wanted to like his studio, however we will not be continuing at this studio beyond this month due to lack of professionalism and courtesy from the studio staff. read more

At first I thought this was a great dance studio in a shiny new facility. Unfortunately, the staff and owner, especially, left my daughter with a very bad experience. There is a lack of communication between staff and parents. One time I showed up for a "makeup" class to find no one there. However, the main thing that caused us to immediately withdraw were the actions of the owner. I'll refrain from personal insults, but sufficed to say, we were treated very unfairly and a great girl who was always attentive and followed directions, was punished unfairly and unjustly. If I could give a negative star I would! This dance studio is a joke.... I have never written a poor review but felt the need to do so in regards to this studio. This dance studio is unprofessional and has a very poor dance program. I felt that my daughter was not growing at this studio but knew she was a capable dancer. I had her evaluated by other studios who knew what to look for in a great dancer. She was advanced in all of her skills, despite of what Ms. Rachel saw, she was placed on point. My daughter was so excited and shared this with her former class mates and Ms. Rachel felt the need to tell other students on why my child should not be advanced. Shame on you Ms. Rachel! I found this place while going to the bank, and I thought, what a great idea to put a dance studio in this location :D. I was so excited since I have been looking for Dance studio that is close home and went to check it out. However. I asked the lady at the front desk if there were also dance classes for adults, but didn't seem like she knew or wanted to answer my questions. I was reading a flyer place at the door which offered a free trial class.I would think, If you want to get more customer to take your dance classes at least be more welcoming. The staff was not friendly or welcoming at all. Too bad they lost a customer. read more

My Grand daughters went to this dance studio for ballet classes. They are ages 5 and 9. I paid cash for the whole session for my older Grand daughter and my Daughter was to pay monthly for my younger Grand daughter with her credit card. My older Grand daughter was paid in full by me. Toward the end of the session I purchased recital tickets on my credit card. They were $50 for 2. This is the only time I used my credit card at the studio. 3 months later there was a charge on my credit card of $100 dollars. I called and asked why they did this. I got no answer, so I emailed the owner. I got an email back stating they charged my card because my Daughter owed them $100. I wrote back and told them she is not an authorized user on my card and in fact she is 29 years old. What does this have to do with my card? I informed them it is against California law to save a credit card number without written permission from the card owner and I never authorized this charge. I needed them to remove the charge. I later received an email from the owner saying when my daughter paid her bill she would remove the charge. This is unauthorized use of my credit card and now as far as I am concerned this is fraud and the email is extortion. We don't even have the same last name and live 40 miles apart! DO NOT EVER GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER FOR ANY REASON! EVER! THEY WILL KEEP IT ON FILE AND CHARGE WHATEVER THEY FEEL THEY WANT TOO! I have contacted my credit card company and they say they will get the money back and have already taken it off my account. But I advise anyone looking for a dance studio to choose a different one. These people are unethical thieves. read more

My daughter just turned 4 and has been going here for a few months now. From day 1 when she was just having trial classes she has always enjoyed her classes. She always looks forward to her dance classes. Happy daughter =happy mother. read more

I've been taking Zumba classes @ 24hr fitness for over three years now..their classes are over crowded and you have to pay to reserve a spot otherwise you have to get there an hour before class just to get in...It's crazy!!! So i decided that it's well worth my sanity to go over to Strong Studio and take a few classes. It's a beautiful, clean studio with get instructors like ( Karen D.) . You know that you will get an awesome and effective workout with her...So if you are tired of the gym classes this is a great alternative...Make sure to check them out @ least once...I promise you will love it!!! read more

This ballet studio is the BEST! Our princess Has been with them for over 3 years. When she started the studio was less than 10 minutes away from our house and a few months ago they moved to cypress about 30 minutes away. Even though we have a few other dance studios less then 5 minutes away from home we would not even think about moving our princess anywhere else.... The instructors here are awesome and we trust every one of them. The staff is polite, respectful, and very knowledgeable. My daughters have been dancing with the "strong fanily" for many years. Recetly there has been alot of conflict, not with me persoanly but with people that were like a family to me. The acts of the owner her self have been very scandalous and outrageously childish. Talks Crap about her own students? Claims she had no wrong doing in any of the whole situation? This is an awesome place for all ages. I love how friendly the staff is and how they make you feel like a part of this big dance family. They tech self confidence through dance.
