Yet, QD wanted to get more money from me by telling me to pay him to learn what tone each song is. My boyfriend and I took two dance classes here and we had so much fun! They host group bachata and salsa lessons on Thursday nights. We came twice, so we were able to try both lessons. If you want to you could definitely do both classes in one night. The instructors were really friendly and helpful. They paid attention to the students and helped those who were struggling a bit (which was definitely us on more than one occasion). Love the dance instructor Quoc Duong! He's very prompt, talented and patient. After contacting him about our wedding dance, we met with him for the first time, discussed fee and dancing style we wanted. He came up with the choreography for our dance every week. From a beginner with absolutely no dancing experience, we could move with music fluently 10 weeks later. I would suggest going with the package since it already includes choreography fee. Each lesson lasted 45'. We paid about 70$/ session (non-package).10-12 weeks of dance should be sufficient with a 3 minute song. He also modified the song for us since we didn't want to dance longer than 3 mins. The dance stage is fairly large, surrounded with booths and tables and chairs. At night the space becomes a karaoke/ night club, during the day, it's a typical dance floor. It's opened on the weekend too so we could book our lessons fairly easily. Our dance was complimented by many at the wedding. I would highly recommend Duong and his dance studio for anyone who's looking into wedding dance. read more

We hired Quoc Duong to choreograph and teach us our first dance for our wedding. Originally, we expected a basic routine, but he went all out and choreographed an original and fun 5 minute dance, including spins and jumps. We were both first time dancers, but he was extremely patient and understanding. He also mixed different dance styles, including a waltz and more interpretive styles. And, he catered to our ideas and preferences. I didn't speak Vietnamese (though my husband does), but he communicated every move in perfect English. He was also very accommodating of our busy schedule. My cousin brought me to this dance studio and I found this excellent instructor, Jonathan Duong who is very patient, friendly and very precise with his footwork. I took lessons with him and he taught me how to dance the rhumba, cha cha, waltz, and jive. No matter how difficult the steps were, he had his own method of teaching and technique, which made it very easy for me to follow. I like this place. Lots of dance space. Nice and decent dancers. However, something doesn't make sense here. I come to Quoc Duong to listen to Vietnamese songs and dance with Vietnamese music. But those Vietnamese people like to sing NON-VIETNAMESE stuffs. I don't understand. Pho 54 doesn't sell hamburger or pizza. McDonald's doesn't sell Bun Bo Hue. SO WHY DO VIETNAMESE SING MORE NON-VIETNAMESE SONGS? If I want to hear something other than Vietnamese, I would go to a real night club. read more

When i was young enough to think ball room dancing is for old boring people... My sister forced us all to take classes so we would know how to dance at her wedding. First class we had a blast!!! We kept coming back every week for almost 6 months. Never thought i could sweat like a cow dancing but trust me its a workout. Ball room dancing is an art and a hobby that is only good for you. To truly embrace the intimate nature between two people perfectly in sync and dancing different styles like the beautiful tango Argentina where the guy can lead or the girl and take over and rock your world with her hook kicks that can have ur crotch and heart sweating. The playful easy to learn cha cha cha is a must know for any party where two people can casually dance and just have fun... Then comes my brother who bravely put faith in his 10 person crew to dance a whole set for his wedding and of course he had the same instructor. Their wedding routine made the crowd go wild... Now a decade later im getting married and having my own crew something so reminiscent and nostalgic about the first time dancing and coming back... Ball room dancing is something that must be experienced and i cant do it much justice with these lines so take some lessons and be ready for something amazing. Wow, I am so impress this place is so beautiful. The sound from the music is fabulous. It makes the singers sounds a lots better than the actually voice is. Dancers here are great, the dancing floor is so big many dancers can dance at the same time without any problem, it is so entertained just to watch them dance. Most of all, the whole environment here is making me feel very happy & relax. I can tell the owner Quoc Duong is putting his heart & soul into this place making it this impressive. His teaching is detailed and technical, and he gives constructive feedback which helped me improve. It's also nice that he relates to my experience as a student.
