WOW. Stripxpertease is such a awesome place! I took Stripper Strength: Dancehall, with Jillian and Lap Dance 101 with Orisha. Jillian kicked my butt and kept the class so high energy and positive. The "level" of dance hall was perfect for everyone. Orisha's class was also fantastic. She was so patient and taught at the perfect pace for everyone to be able to follow and learn. I especially loved how she gave everyone a bit of individual attention because sometimes you have that total, "Am I doing this right?!" moment. Everyone in the room for both classes was feeling it and feeling confident. I will be back for sure!!! read more

Took a private bj class this week, and I highly recommend it! My instructor KZ is very knowledgeable and has a lot of patience (she is just awesome!!!). The class was really fun, and I learned a lot of tips and tricks (got the wow reaction from my husband haha). Coming back for another private bj class again! It's really cute that they give you a certificate after you accomplished the bj class (post it on Facebook and got so many private messages about where to sign up for this class lol...). Two girls from work had their birthdays and we decided to hire StripXpertease for private classes as a girls night. She was extremly professional, yet vulgar at the same time. It helps to have at least 4 inch heels on (which I always do) so some of the moves were easier and it also makes you look more graceful. Celebrated my 27th birthday with a group of friends at private class with Sofia and it was AMAZING! So much fun! We could not stop laughing BUT we also learned some amazing moves. The theme of StripXpertease classes is absolutely awesome. You learn a few sexy skills and burn calories -- what more can one ask for? So... I've taken Stripper Strength a few times, Booty Jiggle n' Pop several times and um, I may or may not have taken the ___ n' _______ class. Overall, the classes have been very informative and tons of fun. In both fitness classes, I get one hell of a workout. My legs are burning, muscles are shaking violently in agony and frankly, I want to give up. But the classes have a great collaborative atmosphere, and everyone is open and supportive. The instructors do a great job of keeping you motivated and calling you out when you're slacking off. Booty Jiggle n' Pop is my absolute favorite. If you want to learn to roll it, rock it, pop it (even in cheek at a time), this is definitely the place to go. Jessica plays awesome trap music and other songs that motivate you to werk it, twerk it. Do NOT forget your KNEE PADS unless you want to have really sketchy bruises all over your knees for a week. Knee pads you may ask..., it will all make sense once you take this class. Anyone inquiring about the ___ n' _______ class is free to send me a message. :-) StripXpertease offers great packages that enable you to get classes at a discount rate. And the late cancel policy is pretty fair and I've haven't had for forfeit any classes (except the one time I was really disorganized and arrived at the end of class... sigh, my life). Drawbacks... the classes aren't necessarily on a regular schedule, they vary a bit each week. Also, Booty Pop n' Jiggle is ALWAYS booked. Like you have to book classes three weeks in advance sometimes. Lastly, Pearl (the studio where classes are held) is no bueno when it comes to cleanliness. Like I get that they run classes all day, but damnit... sweep and wipe down those floors. All the fitness classes require a lot of floor work and I HATE lying on a dirty floor, even with a mat, towel, etc. Definitely go to a class. Bullsh*t I continue to read the reviews on StripXpertease.com because I'm determined to learn on how to make my love bug happy. Than, I saw the review that gave me the go ahead. Written by a MAN, "John", was the mother of all reviews on how his girlfriend went from OK to amazing. Did I believe it was written by a guy? I had that doubt. "Maybe one of the instructors did it to promote the business", I thought. Suddenly a small dramatic clip came into my head. It was my boyfriend's penis crying. YES, his phallus was crying through his urethra. "Don't do it. Don't close that page! Try it.Try the class. For me... Please...." For crying out loud. Pressure from an absent penis. I paid for the class and took it. WOW. Lubes, techniques, atmosphere, attitude, I can go on. This class blew my mind so hard that I signed up for one month of classes. "Ewww, I don't want to learn that with other girls around" I hear from other girls. Relax, Kimberly is funny, care-free, and yes, hygienic. She's the owner of the business. This is an amazing woman who has a keen eye and has an energy that makes me wonder where she gets it from, making normal women into the BEST instructors. From there and on, I went to to most basic classes INTRO to StripXpertease, Lap dance level 1, Floor Work level 1 etc. and progressed to the higher classes. As time went by, new classes were introduced like Booty Twerk, Splits S-t-r-e-t-c-h, Belly Dancing. They always progress the business. The instructors provide an atmosphere that is so fun and challenging. Sometimes I tell myself "let me pretend to go to the bathroom so i can take a break". They keep me there and motivate me. Shoot, even the people who listen through the door get curious. All types of girls are welcomed, skinny, flat, chubby, fat, girl with busted knee, girl with three eyes. Whatever issue you have, the instructors work with you because it's about the everyday woman feeling sexy through dance. They through it with small groups. You'll never be cramped in the class. My one complaint about StripXpertease is classes fill up fast. Through my eyes, it's fully understandable. Xpertease is the greatest dancing/fitness organization I've ever came across with. Seeing as how I'm definitely one of those girls who gets super bored from running lap after lap on the treadmill every day, it's no surprise that I'm always on the lookout for fun, new ways to workout. So when my friend suggested that we take a strip tease class together, I was more than down. StripXpertease currently offers a new student special of 2 class passes for $26 (originally $52) which my friend and I both decided to take advantage of. We bought the passes and immediately signed up for our first class: Intro to StripXpertease, which is a pre-req before taking all their other classes. I went into the class not really expecting much (I'd likeeeeee to think I know what I'm doing in the bedroom hehe), but I came out feeling more confident and sexy than ever. While the class definitely teaches you a lot of techniques we all probably already use in our every day lives (hello boob squeezes and lip bites), it was still super fun to work on perfecting them in a group setting. While it wasn't much of a workout, the class in and of itself was a blast and I'm so glad that my friend introduced me to it. If you're feeling the slightest bit hesitant about coming, DON'T. If you want to work your bod, but yoga bores the hell out of you this is the place for you. The "stripper strength" class is a seriously tough workout that leaves me sore for days, but I just can't get enough. Kimberly pushes the class hard but also really encourages you to stretch your limits. I've seen results, especially increased flexibility. I also took a 4-week Lap series with Dahlia, which was just awesome. She is a wonderful teacher--funny, encouraging, and a great dancer. We spent the full four weeks learning one routine, so we really had a chance to practice, ask questions, and learn it thoroughly. We practiced on each other (although you can opt out of that if you're not comfortable), but it really helped me get the feel for how it would be to try this on a special someone. It was a very supportive environment, and I felt really good about my body and myself, had fun, and learned a few sexy tricks along the way. read more

I have to say I have not taken a class THIS much fun in a long time! Even before I took my very first class today, something in me just KNEW I would love it. I bought a Livingsocial deal for 2 classes and I am so hooked now, I plan on buying more classes for the future. This was an ABC's of StripXpertease class with Jessica. And let me tell you, she has an amazing personality. Not only she greeted every student as we arrived individually and introduced herself, she just had that glow about her that I knew it would be an amazing class even BEFORE we begun. The 50 minutes of class went by so fast and we learned soooo much. You would think "Ah, it's only a Beginners class", but trust me ladies, you will leave here with a ton of sexy moves just from ONE class. Look at me, I am so excited, I can't relax as I type this. So, yeah, in a nutshell, GREAT class, GREAT instructor, she had my jaw drop when she did a Demo at the beginning of class. Just phenomenal. I even liked the location, it was in a doorman building, which is always a plus for me, instead of walking into some dingy building with like shady people walking in and out. It's also close to transportation, so yeah, I'm in baby. Even the room we were in, nice hardwood floors, smelled good (not the floor, but the room, LOL). YES! Kimberley is AWESOME. Sweet, fun, confident, super cool. I organized a private class for friends as part of my birthDAY (yes, day and night full of activities...what? I'm ok being the center of attention for 12 hours ;). Anyway there were about 12-15 of us. It was the perfect intro for all of my girls to have fun together (some were just meeting each other - college vs. nyc vs. work etc...). Kimberley was great - she made everyone feel really comfortable and just had fun with it. We had a GREAT time. It was April 2008 so I can't say for sure but I think it was around $20pp...which I think is VERY reasonable. Stripxpertease is a solid OK in my book. Some instructors are obviously awesome, others not as great. This is not for lack of good nature or enthusiasm, maybe just a lack of talent for teaching. Client service is weak- they are inflexible in working with you through any issues you might have and make zero allowances in their policies. This seems to me a bit rigid and makes me less inclined to join the community. So far I haven't found another place with better reviews though, so maybe this is as good as it gets for this kinda thing in NYC. All in all good fun, but make sure to read the fine print and don't expect any flexibility from admin. read more

I totally take back by bad review. I've tried to delete it but it is not allowing me. With all the trouble I had, it has been quickly remedied. Also, due to train trouble, I was in such a hurry to get to the class, that when I checked the boards to find my class, I didn't FULLY check it and went to the wrong room. I, of course, feel like a total idiot. I did finally make it to a class and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. It was fun and challenging and Jessica, the instructor really made us all feel comfortable and also made us feel like we were all super sexy while we were "working it!". So far I have take three classes (1 with Jessica and 2 with KZ). The moves seam so easy in your head until you try them. Floor work takes a lot of strength and Jessica and KZ has performed these moves with such grace and ease. I will be continuing to take classes until I excel at them. Got a deal on LivingSocial. Just wanted to say that Abby is a great instructor! She made everything non-intimidating and fun. Of course, repeating the intro classes would probably be best (probably essential!), but bummer... I live on the other coast. The intro classes here, from what I can see, are pretty approachable. Nothing overly strange happens in class -- they show a lot of the technique that is involved with all the dancing and such. As you can see by my vague vocabulary, this stuff was outside of my comfort zone, yet I don't regret going at all. Warning: they WILL use explicit vocabulary in the class! Definitely bring a friend and be ready to find the rented studios well before class starts (we were rushing a few times from this, but then again, we were out-of-towners). read more

To basically reiterate what everyone else has said, the classes are fun, laid back and the instructors are experienced teachers, so they know how to get everyone comfortable by making jokes. My 1st review on yelp, but it's worth the trouble in order to praise Kimberly and perhaps help another girl who doesn't always feel sexy give it a try. The classes are kept small and as shy you might be, you'll still be comfortable doing the moves in a room with few girls. You'll also get personal attention and plenty of cheerleading. Stripper strength & how to walk in high heels are the 2 classes I tried. 1st one will make you sweat & I like the boost of energy it gives. 2nd one, even though I've been going out in high heels for a while, definitely introduced me to how to do it in a healthier & most importantly sexier way. I hope this becomes a 4-week series. These classes are fun to take with a friend (thanks to K* for my groupon), they have a girls night out feel to them. I have to admit, our private lapdancing class - booked for a bachelorette weekend - ended up being way more practical than I'd anticipated! I knew it would be a great time for the hour we were in there, but as it turned out, this class reaps great times well after the hour's over! Our instructor, Orisha, was super disarming, straightforward, hilarious, and didn't expect anyone to have any kind of dancing or lapdancing instincts whatsoever. She brought out chairs for all of us to practice on, was specific about exactly how to move our bodies, and even had us practice our facial expressions and what things to say at what times. Not only was it fun and hilarious, everybody was actually looking hot doing their thang (the outfits helped - they recommend heels). We literally left with a full song's worth of a choreographed routine that wouldn't appear super choreographed to anyone lucky enough to enjoy it, but left no room for us to wonder how to fill the time or what to do next. We even got insider tips like: Make sure he's wearing pants, otherwise it'll be poking you all over the place. And in case anyone forgot anything, we got sent home with a cheat sheet for the routine that also had some hilarious bonus tips on it. I think everyone left feeling sexier, and even the couple girls who'd had to be talked into participating said they LOVED it and that they were definitely going to do it at home. If I lived in NY, there's no question that I would definitely sign up for a membership and do this all the time. Great workout, tons of fun, and leaves you with an extra swish in your hips! **Note: Heads up that they rent studio space, so there's other rooms all around your room being rented by other people. We walked past some opera auditions as well as a children's birthday party wearing short shorts and 4-inch heels. Wow, it might seem intimidating to take strip/lap dance classes, especially if you're not superfit and don't have a great body. But the instructors at StripXpertease are so friendly and the classes are so much fun. I came through a Bloomspot deal and I'm so glad I did. It was a truly lifechanging experience. I took the intro class where they taught some basic moves. I've taken a couple of lap dancing classes and I took the class on how to walk in stripper heels. I cannot even express how much I love and adore Kimberly Smith's classes. Once upon a time, I took her 2 hour intro class during the tail end of a very tough year and it was just what I needed to pick myself back up and feel happy, healthy, sexy ,and confident again. Simple things like looking in the mirror before you leave the house in the morning and feeling sexy and beautiful are neglected when life starts kicking your ass. Her class was actually the first exotic dance class that I took, way before I ever even laid my hands on a pole. I had never considered myself a great dancer and was terrified of walking into a studio and seeing a room full of skinny gorgeous women moving gracefully. The morning before my first intro class, I was so nervous that I contemplated staying home. I'm glad I made the right choice by dragging myself there anyway. By the end of the 2 hours, I was laughing, moving, dancing and feeling sexier than I had in a VERY long time. I was instantly hooked. The class was full of women of all shapes and sizes, all nationalities and ages, all backgrounds and occupations. No crazy wannabe strippers, no naked girls rolling around on the floor. Instead, it was just a bunch of women who were all seeking the same thing that I was. Kimberly was incredibly nice and greeted us with a smile and sense of familiarity, almost like she was a girlfriend that you've known for a long time. She was enthusiastic, passionate and kind, and put those of us who were tense at ease. Kimberly works magic- by the end of the 2 hours, she had a group of strangers doing sexy dance moves in front of each other that a lot of us had never done before, let alone in front of people that we just met! Fast forward to present day. I have been regularly attending Kimberly's weekly dance series and my life has changed for the better. And amazingly, she somehow made a dancer out of me...for the first time I moved my body in ways that I never thought I could. Her classes are different from what you'd find at other places because she truly believes and embodies what she teaches and preaches- female empowerment and expressing sexuality. Kimberly keeps her classes small and weaves in cute anecdotes in between showing us how to walk in 6-inch heels and swaying our hips. She's constantly highlighting everyone's positive attributes and is always encouraging us to push mentally and physically. During those one or two hours I spend each week in class, the rest of my problems disappear and I focus on making myself feel good. I still get the same feeling EVERY single time I walk out of class...exhilaration, confidence and pride in myself for doing something that I was once so afraid of. Keep in mind also that her classes focus on the actual art of striptease and seduction and the philosophy behind exotic dance. She does more than just show you a bunch of moves...she'll focus on tricks for making your body look good naked, how to work your "predator face", connecting with eye contact, making your dance personal, etc. Her dancing style is hands down the most authentic I've seen (compared to other instructors in Manhattan who teach the same), as she was a former stripper...and isn't ashamed to talk about it. She has a certain slink in her step that other dance instructors that I've had just do not have. Guess that's the actual difference between someone who has done the real thing versus someone who has received traditional dance training. Cons? Public classes are somewhat limited, but you can always book private sessions if you can afford it. Although I actually enjoy the public classes better because it's always nice to feed off of everyone else's energy. Her class packages fortunately have a very generous usage period (they expire 1 year after purchase), which is a major bonus for people with restrictive schedules. She does not teach pole classes, if you're also into that. But like Kimberly says, there is so much more that you can do with exotic dance even without a pole. I absolutely agree. These classes are also great if you've only done pole classes elsewhere and are looking to add floor/standing moves to your arsenal. The gals from this outfit are top notch. I came into their classes a novice and came out a woman unleashed. The instruction you receive at this school is excellent. Here's a short list of my reasons why. 1. Class Size - They maintain a small number of students so that all students can practice with ample space and see the instructor. 2. Class Set Up - Each instructor comes armed with promotional materials, registration lists, class schedules and class tip sheets. I cannot tell you what a blessing that is to an anal person like myself. I ADORE formal and structured presentation. It makes all the difference. I want to be able to SEE upcoming schedules, READ what I've learned and TAKE AWAY goodies (IE pretty postcards/pens). To my knowledge, no other exotic dance school does this. 3. Diversity of Classes Available - I dislike 'the pole' but I want to do other kinds of sexy dance. Striptease offers a range of classes with different exotic dance themes and they change every month! Hot classes like "Down and Dirty", "Lap and Grind", "Fusion" and are just a sampling of the class they offer. They also have kick ass fitness classes like "Stripper Strength" that build your assets from the ground up. 4. Instructors - These lovely ladies are a delight. All of them are talented and supportive. The teachers come from different backgrounds and have different dance training. I think the mix of personalities and styles give the school an eclectic mix that is typically New York. I've taken class with doe eyed Naomi, who is as sexy as she is sweet. I lurve Kimberly, who is the owner of Stripxpertease, because she rocks. That gal has got personality (the size of Texas), sass and dangerous moves. She's worked her ass off keep this school going and all her hard work shows. She picks awesome music (a wide range of nu r & b, crunk classics, trip hip, alt faves, southern rock - you name it) goes in the cd mixes. Take any dance and you'll know that MUSIC makes all the difference. If the tunes suck...chances are you will too. Oh and hat tip to darling Sara! She's an lovely English rose who has a knack for exact movement details and interesting routines. SO...if you are looking to get yer groove on and let your freak flag fly...choose these ladies. I'm back for an update (as promised, Kim!). As Kim noted (others have pointed out), Stripxpertease now has a policy that allows you to make up for "Late Cancel" classes. The procedure is just that you must email Kim before noon of the day of the class that you want to take. As long as it's not filled to capacity, you'll most likely be put on the list. It was a pretty painless procedure as Kim got back to me right away (given some internet troubles) and I was able to get into a 7:10 Stripper Stretch class tonight. I think between stretch and strength (the fitness classes), I like Stretch more- and I'm glad I took it twice. You should note that even days are for splits, and odd days are backbends/bridges. I definitely was better at the splits! Per my last review, I said I'd update you guys on the Stretch class. I first took it on an even day and it was dedicated to leg flexibility 100%. Splits, splits, splits! And what can get you into splits- and the usual "touch your toes" stretches. Straddle splits- on the floor/against the wall. Kneeling and bringing your heel to your butt; and even pilates-type teasers with a partner and pairing your feet together for a stretch (I know, how to visualize- take it and find out for yourself!). Kim teaches you great stretches you can do at home to become more flexy sexy. She's very good about telling you how long you should stretch. She makes sure you get the positioning right (when splitting-hips square!!) and how much pain you're going to feel from a stretch. (Ow-za!) The second (make-up) class I took, was an odd day stretch class. Bridges and backbends. Man did I suck at this- the other girls put me to shame. Make sure you show your wrists love after this and roll them around. We work on some basic stretches; cat/cows, and some pilates abs work (the plow stretch- feet over head and your butt is raised). But then came the regular bridges, and then the intense full on wheels (which I had difficulty with)- damn you back, damn you!!! (Need to work on that back flexibility, also to amp up my pole repertoire) Anyway, this was the more intense class of the two. Don't come in thinking that you're going come to a relaxing yoga/stretch type of class. It's not exactly calorie bursting, but it certainly gets your face red and uncomfortable at times. This class is better for overall flexibility if you want the whole flexy sexy package, and want something more than just splits. IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT FORGET YOUR MAT!!!! (or towel, if you must though I don't see how this helps much) Bending from your knees on a hardwood floor sucksss. (like I did, each time). No heels necessary. Stripxpertease and Pole make me so regretful I didn't do gymnastics when I was little and had more dexterity. Big booness- I'm so envious of those little sexy stripper gymnasts!! I am by no means a tiny girl and decided to take these classes as a way to loosen up a little and appreciate my shape and curves more. I got it so I might of well learn how to flaunt it right? Anyway, I Had my first Stripper class yesterday and I am seriously Hooked. Alison was my instructed and she was GREAT! I wont lie there where some times when I was standing there with my mouth wide in shock, but that added to the fun of the class and hopefully me mastering the moves. LOVED loved loved this class (I took the strip tease and lap dance classes). Olivia and Kimberly were the instructors and they were fantastic. I really enjoyed how explicit they were both with the moves themselves, and with the explanation of why those moves were done. Hands down, would recommend this class to any woman. I LOVED the 3 classes that I've been to. I did this initially through a discount website they were having a promotion on and it turned out to be worth every penny. And now I want to do the private lessons. Kimberly is amazing and not only is she fantastic at what she does but is a great teacher. She makes you comfortable in a situation where you can be very self conscious. She brings a lot of wit and humor into the class. I did two of the seminar classes, and not only did I learn some sexy moves, but became more comfortable with my body and felt sexy. The class is also great because there are a mix of girls that come. Some are great at it and others not so you're going to fit in somewhere. Ladies if you've got a man(or a woman) or not I highly recommend taking the class. read more

Love, love LOVE StripXpertease! I found these classes through Groupon and they are great! For an awkward shy person like myself its helped me find my inner diva! I loved all the classes so much I signed up for the monthly membership which allows you to take as many classes as you want for less! Every single one of the instructors is great and help you feel at ease, I was surprised that they each remembered my name after seeing me in class once! They are very encouraging and funny. For ladies that enjoy fitness, the Stripper Strength classes kick butt! I thought I was fairly fit but after that class the first time I was sore for a week! I'm already seeing results, I'm leaner and more flexible. I love how everything is broken down by genre, strip, lap, and floor/wall It's fun to learn the different moves for each and putting it all together. I've learned to do things I never thought I could do especially in the advanced lap class. If you've been debating whether or not to try it, just do it! Well, where do i start. Kim is one of the coolest persons i have ever met. Very strong personality, unique qualities, straight forward and most importantly very cool to be around with. She is very professional at what she does and at the same time a lot of fun to be with. There is no reason why you shouldn't try "Stripxpertease". We booked Kimberly for our friends bachelorette party and not only was she a professional but she is hilarious! We were a group of 6 girls a mix of super conservative to super liberal and we all had a ton of fun! Kimberly made us feel comfortable, taught us a great moves and made us break a sweat. She is such a doll and the class was awesome. We're booking a refresher class and adding more recruits! After being to a class (or 2) at penthouse and other places, StripXpertease is the BEST by far! wow. I'm sad my class is over but im excited that i can finally review this place after taking it!! I found stripxpertease on groupon and I did the level 1 Lap Series (once a week for 4 weeks). You walk away from this class really knowing your dance and feeling like a vixen. I'm definitely coming back for more. Really great, sexy moves and my instructor Noami was fantastic at teaching the dance but keeping it really easy going for the class. Love you guys! read more
