Fun fact: Strippaggio refers the slurping noise you make after sampling some olive oil! I'd be hard-pressed (hehe, olive oil pun) to drum up a negative thought about Strippaggio, an inviting shop that hawks primarily olive oils and balsamic vinegars, along other local goodies and treats such as Xocolatl chocolates. Some price tags were missing on some items, but that's not a huge deal. The lady working is always willing to provide endless samples and answer questions. We thought the orange olive oil, fig balsamic, and chocolate balsamic were particularly intriguing. And the olive oil made from olives grown in Georgia! There are currently two farms that produce olives. Each bottle is about $28, though other oils and vinegars cost less than that. Strippaggio has your gift-giving needs covered if you're shopping for a food fan. When I mentioned I was buying a present, the saleslady offered to put my purchase into a bag with tissue paper and include a gift tag. How thoughtful. In January 2013 I was searching the intown Atlanta area for a store that sold fresh, extra virgin olive oil. I usually order my olive oil online from different California growers, but wanted to make another effort to find a local vendor. About that time I received an email from a friend who had done the lighting for a new gourmet foods business named Strippaggio. He recommended I go by. I did and I am glad. From the time I entered Strippaggio's front door I have been in love with this place. Strippaggio is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their product offerings, which include extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars, gourmet salts, and other related items. Despite the wonderful ambiance and the fantastic staff it was the quality of the olive oil that was going to be the difference between making Strippaggio my 'go to' olive oil store or a soon-to-be-forgotten memory. I am glad to say Strippaggio delivered. I am an olive oil taster and was pleased at the quality of the olive oil they sell. They have extra virgin olive oils for every palate and every dish. Shoppers can find mild, fruity oils; medium, tangy oils; and robust, spicy oils. They are all fresh, high-quality and delicious, unlike what you find at the grocery store. Had been meaning to stop by here for awhile, but never made the time. Was out for lunch at The General Muir and noticed it as I walked by. We stopped in and were greeted warmly. We tasted many different balsamic vinegars and olive oils. The vinegars all had different flavors and we selected an aged option that is night and day to the swill you get at the grocery store. All bottles are around twenty dollars, give or take a few here and there. The olive oil was hard to tell apart, and we purchased one on recommendation. We have used them together to create a most excellent balsamic vinaigrette. Overall, very happy with the purchase and will definitely buy more balsamic vinegar there in the future. read more

Heaven in a teensy paper cup. That is Strippaggio. If you are a connoisseur of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, or if you just like some good oil for dipping your bread, you NEED to give this place a try. It's the perfect shop to find a gift for the gourmand in your life, too. Most of their oils are from California and you can taste all of them before you buy in the previously mentioned teensy paper cups. The woman who helped me today was kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I purchased some kick-a$$ oil, a sampler set of balsamic vinegars (including a peach one that is so-freaking-amazing), and some alderwood smoked salt (yes, smoked salt is a thing and it is glorious)...plus some pizzelles, which are an Italian lemony cookie type thing that I love. I would've loved to get some of the amazing vinegars (especially the tangerine one!) on tap, but with the 3 oz liquid rule, that meant I would have to bookmark it for another time. Strippagio is a great local store with two locations (one at Emory Point and one on Ponce). It's a specialty olive oil / vinegar store but you can also pick up local honey, local bitters / cocktail mixes, and lots of high-end knick knacks that make for great hostess gifts, etc. They also offer lots of cute little courses such a holiday cocktails, vinegar tastings, etc. Worth stopping by! read more

We love this place. I am a bit of a real food snob and we try to only get local and/or regional foods. There are certain products that I will not buy from just anywhere and artisan oils are one of those things. I've had very good olive oil in California and this is the only other place that has come close. I highly recommend the aged balsamic and lemongrass olive oil. For those that want more variety, I think you're looking for a different kind of place. I personally do not like infused oils and I would much rather taste the real flavor of oil and balsamic. read more

I had been meaning to stop by this store long ago but it wasn't until last weekend I finally made it in. And wow - I had been missing out! I walked in and had no idea what to expect and thought it was strange that there were tons of vats everywhere. When the sales lady asked if there was anything I was looking for I said no and that I was just browing. Well, after basically spinning around in a circle for a minute, I felt stupid and finally asked her to give me a run down of the place. What the most popular items were, the most unique, her favorites, etc. all the good stuff. She was incredibly helpful and took me for a taste testing of the products. Olive oils first followed by the balsamics. I thought it was very strange to slurp olive oil, but whatever. It was amazing! I fell in love trying all these different products and the sales lady was incredibly helpful. We spoke of different combinations of the olive oils and balsamics for cooking, salad dressings, even for your martinis and cocktails! I walked out of the store with several purchases: the mission olive oil ( a buttery high quality classic evoo), the jalapeno fused olive oil (incredible), the white balsamic (the stores most popular item) and the pomegranate balsamic (which my love for it exponentially grows the more I use it), siracha salt - had to do it, and 2 pour stoppers or whatever. All have been great. My favorite usage of these besides combining them for salad dressings - is when I grabbed a huge tuna steak at costco and marinated it in the jalapeno evoo and pomegranate balsamic and some siracha salt and then baked it in the oven. I added a tequila lime dry rub (love spicy things) and it was absolutely delicious! Anyways, this store was basically made for me and I will certainly be back before my products have run out because I can't wait to accumulate more of these for different combinations! read more

This is an awesome place to go for well your olive oil and spices needs. They carry unique and high end oils and spices that you just won't find elsewhere. They offer tastings and suggestions on what to pair them with. They also sell local products which is great. Not only catering to olive oil buyers, Strippaggio also sells truffle salts and other spices, pretty much anything you need for your next dinner party. Had a great time sampling the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Recommend you either eat before hand, or bring some crackers or bread to cleans the palette. Also, don't finish the olive oil samples - just a sip is enough. I sampled quite a few, and was extremely pleased with the quality of the product. read more
